Attempted Assassination on City-Governor of Roya.

City of Roya, Libertainia – City-Governor Klark Amar was found severely injured in his home last night, suffering multiple stab wounds to his lower abdomen. He was immediately taken to Roya Central Hospital and is now in stable condition under medical care.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, which occurred in the early hours of the morning. The suspect who is allegedly Kaine Thorne was found at the scene by security during patrol in the City-Governor’s home office. As it appears that there was no forced entry which theorizes the possibility of the suspect to have known or had an interaction with City-Governor Amar prior.
Arch-Governor Tal publicly condemned the attack saying…
“This attempted murder of City-Governor Amar is a cowardly act against those who serve the people of Libertania. People like Klark do not deserve this, and I offer my prayers to him and his family. The perpetrator will be punished for this unholy act.” - Arch-Governor Aldrich Tal
The incident has raised concerns about the security of public officials, and what can be done to never let this happen again.
City-Governor Amar is a well-known figure for his progressive policies and contributions to the city’s development. The people of Libertainia have shown strong support, gathering outside the hospital to express their well wishes. As many of you may know, the City-Governor of Roya was attacked a day ago in his home by Kaine Thorne, who was revealed to be someone who worked with City-Governor Amar before he was suspiciously fired.
With City-Governor Amar in stable condition, doctors say he’ll make a full recovery.
Regarding the suspect, Kaine Thorne is to be charged with attempted murder, and trespassing, with the motive being revealed to be that Kaine wanted revenge for being fired by City-Governor Amar, according to the Roya Police Department, and the suspect himself claims the City-Governor is corrupt as he was taken in.
With multiple accusations of corruption after the incident. The Roya Police Department has taken into consideration opening a case on this matter.

The National Assembly considers a new bill for crime prevention.

Today, the upper and lower National Assembly have taken into consideration a bill that will enforce harsher punishments for both blue-collar and white-collar crimes.
These punishments may include, but are not limited to, harsher sentences, more strict schedules in jails and prisons, etc Although these seem harsh, there are indeed some questions about those who are falsely imprisoned. Assembly member Roi Luis from the Children of Liberty Party has this to say:
“You know, many criminals here in libertainia are repeat offenders. I agree that we cannot continue letting people out of prison if they are not ready to face and function in society. That being said, we want to keep law breakers in and law abiding out to the best of our ability.”

Residents of RalorĂn island form a new initiative!

Today, in Libertainia on the island of RalorĂn, residents have decided to form a initiative to help college first-year students adjust to their dorm called “Adjust 2 Uni”
Initiative. Lucia Marti, the founder, has this to say:
“As many of us know, our dorms can be lacking in decor. So I gathered my girls, and they seemed happy about the idea of helping future college students have nice dorms and decent resources to study with. So far, we have helped hundreds of students and aim to make it to the thousands.” -Lucia Marti
