Historical Summary: Before Salovia came in there was no government that ruled the entire land that is now claimed by Tarelia. The area was split up by tribes and nations that all wanted the land for themselves. In 534 the Salovians claimed the land and took it over. From then on the land was owned by the empire, the people did not try to rise up, as they saw resistance as futile. Eventually Salovia grew more and more unstable, until finally in 1992 the nation broke apart into different states, Tarelia being one of them. Tarelia decided to claim the legacy of Salovia. Even today the nation believes itself to be the rightful successor to Salovia. The nation has tried to make friendly relations with its neighbors in hopes of reuniting the now fallen empire. The nation may not have the best intentions at heart, and they will do anything to reclaim the empire that was torn apart. They stand alone on their hill, but that doesn’t mean they won’t defend it.
