Thanks John Kerry

I just want to say Thank you to John Kerry, you see, he has completely ruined my faith in the Democratic Party.
you see, Ohio is the big swing state and according to (with 99% of the precints reporting) the reports W has like 2,735,000 something votes, and Lurch has like 2,500,000 or so (on the high side of 2.5million probably closer to 2.6) and he has already declared that he has a plane full of lawyers en route to Ohio.

Therefore I thank you John Fauntleroy Kerry, thank you for ruining my faith in the democratic party, you by following in the example set by Al Gore (Ill tell ya why I hate AL gore later) and when you dont get your way, you sue and bring in lawyers to prance and ry for you.
You Mr Lurch are why America is slowly turning toward Soviet Amerika.
or even worse toward an even more Litigious Amercia.

(I know I had said I woudl stay our of political bickering but I had to get this off my chest.
On Al Gore, he owns a lot of apartments here in Tennessee, and they are Slums, that is point A, Point B is, his wife Tipper, I hate her, you see back in 1990 she said to the effect that anyone who listens to Rock Music (particularly the heavier stuff) is a Murderer or a ciminal in the making and should be locked up before they can cause any troubles (not exact quote, but hell 14 years of time will dull a memory) at the time I listened to this type of music, and well I took that as a personal attack.
I even wrote Al Gore during the elections and told him why I wouldnt vote for him however if he divorced Tipper I would gladly vote for him but as it stood, I couldnt.)

i agree with that Loop, my family lost faith in the whole Democratic Party thanks to Clinton

The most depressing thing if Bush wins is that according to a CNN poll, a quarter of people who voted for him voted because of moral issues, which I think is just crazy.

People are dying in an war which should never have been started. Your economy is in the tank. The entire world mistrusts you because of Bush. People, especially people of my generation are dying for nothing. How’s that for a moral issue? Abortion is more important? Banning gay marriage is more important? It’s illegal in 11 states now. People, actual people, are dying, people’s lives have been ruined forever, jobs are being lost forever, and not letting people get rid of unwanted fetuses is more important? Not letting gay people marry is more important?

And what gets me is my contemporaries in the USA had, according to CNN, similar turnout to that of 2000. They are the ones who are dying in Iraq. They are the ones who would suffer the aftereffects of Bush’s economic policies if he does win this election. And they didn’t vote.

That’s simply sad.

They said that if Kerry lost a referendum on Bush, with an unpopular war, with an economy in the crapper, with everything going down the tubes, then what can the Democrats win? Well, we’re staring down that horrible fate. We are facing that prospect now.

I think it’s important enough that Kerry should fight like mad and destroy the formalities that the vote would have to pass through if Bush does win. The hell with “sore loser”, hold up certification by Congress, mess with the voters in the electoral college and get those from Bush states to vote against the result, whatever he needs to toss a spanner in the works. But I don’t think he’s brave enough, and I don’t think the Dems are brave enough. I honestly believe that it is of prime importance that Bush not get a second term, because I think if that happens we are going to have a mess like we’ve never seen before. But it simply won’t happen.

So it’s been four years and here we are again, we’ve woken up the morning after not knowing what’s going to happen and I personally am hoping and praying that Kerry can pull a Red Sox.

No comment, as I AM CANADIAN. Sorry about the cap locks but its a canadian beer slogan. Seemed fitting

Why? Clinton was an excellent president…

Soviet Amerika might not be so bad.

I could shoot the religous asses who put that bumper sticker on my car then.

And thus Kerry has conceded defeat…it’s to his credit that he didn’t pull a “Gore” after all.

I would bitch and complain about America voting back in right-wing extremists, but I’m still too busy bitching and complaing about my country doing the same…

I’d just like to note that, at least, as I’ve been informed, Ralph Nader did get an electoral vote, and that, of current, three US senators with independant backing have been elected. Fight the power, brothers! It’s time we got ride of the crusader, time we told the waffler to Fark off! Save the trees, my brother, and vote for the true candidate, the best candidate, the only real candidate: Ralph Nader!

With the reelection of Bush there are afew things all men between 18-25 MUST DO:

  1. Learn to speak Arabic.

  2. Get a copy of the US constitution and memorize it.

  3. Get a gun, get confortable with it, and learn to shoot to kill.

  4. If you didn’t vote this time, you better get of your lazy ass and vote in upcoming polls and elections!

  5. Get ready for all hell to break loose! The draft is coming.

I saw this coming though. Kerry (who I voted for) won New Jersey (my stomping ground), Bush won the South and the West. Therefore, DAMN YOU REDNECKS!!! DAMN YOU TO HIGH HELL!!!

sorry I cannot vote for Nader, I like the Corvair.

Actually Kerry was more likely to start the draft, and the Pentagon is very against a draft of a bunch of what they see as low quality soldiers. Although we need more troops on the ground in Iraq if we ever want to secure the place (we’re already there and stuck, if we pull out someone who is actually connected to Al-Qaeda could take over Iraq! Thank you Wolfowitz!).

Besides the Democrats were the ones who proposed that Draft bill everyone harps on as a campaign tatic (even the bill’s sponsors didn’t even vote for them! (only 2 votes Yea in the entire house!)) see them for yourself:

As for the people who think Bush Jr. & Co. are radical christians… The neo-cons are mostly pandering to the religious right to get their votes. If Bush Jr. and company were part of the religious right they would have declared a crusade against Islam, and would try to do something other than just referencing the bible in some speeches and making an election year ploy “Gay Marriage ban” amendment, (much like the Democrats who proposed that draft bill to get the youth vote) which was certain to fail. I’m pretty sure that Bush Jr. policy on the question of “Gay Marriage” is that it will be left up to the states as Cheney and Bush Jr. originally stated in 2000 (Cheney’s daughter is a lesbian remember!).

There is hope though, http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3743446.stm who have caused most of the problems. I voted for Kerry because I hoped that the complete failure of Bush’s Presidency would send that Ideology to the trash heap allowing the traditional Republicans to re-take the party.

Edit: Typo.

And if I could vote I would vote for bush, kerry dont have the “balls” and would sell the USA to the highest bidder in my mind, I would not trust that man if my DAMN life was on the line.

Im glad we have Fish Island here.

It’s not really justified to put all the blame on the rednecks…

These maps give a much better picture of what the voting result really was.

I lost a lot of faith in the Republican Party during the Clinton witch hunt. Regained some of it during the 2000 election, but I still supported Gore overall (if it had been McCain…). Chipped away over time and was completely lost in 2002 and other outrages thereafter.

Lost some faith in the DNC when they chose Kerry to run for president, because he was just bland enough to appeal just enough to a wide enough audience of people. Lost the rest of the faith I had in the Democratic Party this November. They took a simple, simple task of getting the “not Bush” vote out there, and convincing a small number of other people to vote for their candidate. And they blew it. If they had managed a halfway competent campaign they would have won. I wanted Wes Clark to get the nomination.

Definitly. The only reason people don’t like Clinton is because he had an affair, and lied about it under oath. Frankly, I think anyone who believes he was a bad president because of that is a moron. I’ll bet everyone who has posted here has lied at least once (Under oath or not, it doesn’t matter, you still lied, just like him), and I’m sure everyone in these forums has also cheated, in some way (maybe not on your g/f, although you’ll probably do that in time, but I don’t see the diffirence between that 10th grade bio test and the girl next door).

So, next time, before you let it ripe on Clinton for his bad tastes, how about thinking about yourselves, and what right you have to attack him–Hypocricy is not a respectable trait.

I can understand where the Republican/anti-Clinton argument is coming from regarding the Clinton sex/perjury scandal. He did shame the Oval Office. But the methods to that end used by the witch hunters was also shameful, for the Congress and the Republican Party. It was no one’s damn business what the President’s sex life was like, especially not mine or the American public or Starr’s. Shouldn’t they be solving the coming Social Security deficit, or you know, doing something important? Instead they let it grow worse and leave it to the next administration, but when the hot PAX FRUIT goes off they will blame it on the failures of the Clinton administraiton. Starr’s trial was motivated less about united patriotism to clean up and restore dignity to the Oval Office than it was about a partisan scandal mongering with no goal other than “let’s sabotage the other party”.
