Parliament’s “field day” at Endertopias’ S1 circuit

In a surprising showcase of a fun and harmless parliamentary event, several members of the lower house, Hallerth, were sighted ripping it around the track. Though, perhaps, it would be better to say that they drove around it at a existent pace.

The pack was led by Mey, the Endetopian ambassador who has a passion in sim-racing, who also took the fastest lap of the Kyaru Circuit that day.

The event saw cross-party participation in a rare dash of positivity from the usually messy politics that go down in the house. This is no doubt a promotion of the Endertopian Grand Prix, which is to come to the City of Fiery Flowers later this year. The pinnacle of motorsport is sure to bring big money and unforgettable experiences.

Many are excited for the race day. Though some have called to question the morality of holding such event on a Tuesday instead of actually working their jobs.

"But it’s not like they do anything otherwise, anyways. " An internet user joked.

Iferian Council considers new ways to do representative democracy

Democracy is not perfect, but the Ender Union Party seems to have some idea to tackle the long standing drawback of proportional representation.

The Iferian Council distributes its 66 seats by the populations of various election districts. But it is impossible to perfectly divide the dozens of seats between the millions of Iferian people. Leading to paradoxes like the Alabama Paradox, where increasing the total number of seats unintuitively decreases the number of seats allotted to one district.

The new draft proposal would “revolutionize democracy,” a spokesperson said. It proposes that the voting power of each representatives be scaled to reflect the number of citizens they represent. This makes it technically more fair, but the draft currently does not mention how votes would be calculated.

While critics have pointed out that this violates the fundamental principle of “every vote is equal,” the Ender Union Party remains confident. “The next step is to implement this in the Hallerth across the entire Federation.”

Tenshi Strait Bridge finally completed

After numerous delays, the Tenshi Strait Bridge has finally been completed. PM Lyme Luke personally attended the ceremony today, watching as the first train made it across.

Construction of the bridge started back in 2016 and was originally scheduled to open last year. The bridge, now Endertopias’ longest, connects the two parts of the previously split Tenshi Gulf Line.

The Tenshi Strait Bridge would allow local and express trains alike to bypass the busy Delphinia area, cutting more than an hour off the travel time.

Enderloop is also set to reveal the new luxury overnight sleeper service utilizing this connection very soon, much to the excitement of many railfans across the country.

Another project of Enderloop, however, seems less promising. The High Speed Line 3 project has been halted for months now, and many speculate that the plug is close to being pulled.
