_____________________________________________It Happens Again: General Abana Breaches Dalesburg Wall With Tank in Accidental Intrusion
Last night, soldiers of the National Guard stationed in Dalesburg were caught by surprise when a tank believed to have been manned by Joshua Abana, the depraved General of the People’s Army, rammed through the city’s border wall in what appeared to be an accidental intrusion caused by another skirmish between his faction and Armani’s Arrowhead Army, which has a significant presence in the southern districts of the city.
“It all happened so fast,” a soldier who was interviewed by the NDC said after the intrusion had been dealt with. “One moment, we hear distant explosions and think nothing of it, because well, it’s the Southern Wastes, what do you expect? Then all of a sudden, boom! A shower of dust and rubble and before we know it, the back of a whole ass tank is just poking through the wall!”
According to other witness reports, General Abana did not attack the National Guard during the intrusion, and immediately powered out and back into the southern districts after breaching the wall. He has not published an official statement on the matter as of this publication.
Soldiers are now working on restoring the portion of the wall that had been knocked down by the tank. The Dalesburg Wall is intended to stand up against events like this, but in recent times has become more and more weak as the building codes around it have relaxed. The intrusion has renewed calls to tighten the regulations around how the wall is supposed to be built and renovated. Conversely, the breach has also flared up calls to tear down the Dalesburg Wall, which lobbyists in and around the city have been calling for for years now.
This was not the first time Abana has breached the Dalesburg Wall. Back in 2019, he intentionally rammed a tank through the wall as an act of protest against the National Guard. That time, ten soldiers and fourteen civilians died in the event, with most of the casualties having been directly engaged by the tank while they were on foot.
