The Plague of Unrest

(OOC: Anyone can post an RP post in this thread as long as they get permission from me. This is my first forum rp so pls cut me some slack)

King-Magister Thaddeus Stuart paced the war room, his mind running faster than the Grandys River. Edward Vernon, the Magister of Economic Affairs, leaned on an expensive table, upon which was laid a map of Aivintis. Three Army Generals stood around the table, studying the map with various expressions of severity. The Counts of New Teronia, Derrim, Bricaster, and Illfor, who seemed to be the only Crown loyalists left, were either leaning against the wall or sitting in intricately carved wooden chairs. Silence blanketed the room, disturbed only by the heavy breathing of the nine men and the sound of Thaddeus's boots on the floor. Finally, the King spoke.

"This is bad."

One of the generals snorted at him. "That's all you could come up with?"

"I can't come up with anything," Thaddeus retorted.

"Florence is putting a lot of pressure on us," the Count of Bricaster started.

"Florence is putting a lot of pressure on all of us," the Count of Illfor interrupted. "I tried to plead neutrality to buy some time but you can't argue with that man."

"We have nothing on him," Thaddeus said. "He hasn't done anything illegal. We can't tie him to the Aeternist attacks and he has freedom of speech."

"So it's a waiting game, then?" The Count of Bricaster asked.

"Yes," Thaddeus sighed.

The Count grunted in displeasure.

~~~{Maven Hall, East Maven}~~~
"Illfor is still trying to play the neutral card." The speaker was a medal-adorned veteran of the Third Civil War. 68 years old but still a sight to behold, Nathaniel Wallace had led the Maven Police Department for years. Now he was in charge of "maintaining order" in the County. Barely a battalion of soldiers could be put under his command. With desertions and the magnitude of the protests, the Armed Forces were spread thin, and with the generals 'indisposed', most likely planning an attack on Maven, it was up to people like Wallace to keep the peace.
"Damn them," Count Florence replied, his anger seething just below the surface. "If they aren't with us, they're against us." He drew a deep breath. "And the others?"
"Wesport has agreed to support us in the Council. Bricaster is still hesitant. The rest are too close to Aslough. Thaddeus is sure to keep them close."
"At least we don't have to deal with the dogs on two sides."
Wallace grunted.
"Gilbert." The small Justice stood up straight. Gilbert Pearce was an ex-soldier, but he didn't look it. His mind was for reading and writing. He was in charge of keeping the news corporations on their side of the argument.
"Yes sir?"
"I need you to write up a statement. Something veiled enough that we can make publicly without being tossed in an Aslough prison. But strong enough to make a statement. Legal, but provoking. Asking for assistance from foreign nations. Try autocracies. Not monarchies, though. And keep democracies out of it. Hmm. You know what? Socialist nations, too. Even democratic socialists. We can promise to be sympathetic to the reds. Something the boy King cannot."
"Yes sir."
"And remember. Provoking. If we get the Crowns to strike first, we have the legitimacy of the defender."
"Yes sir."
"You're dismissed."
Gilbert nodded quickly, then left.
"Nathaniel, keep doing what you're doing. The more soldiers and former soldiers we can turn to our cause, the stronger we are. Maybe we can end this via a show of force. Especially if we can convince Bricaster and Illfor to join us."
A solemn nod.
"Good man. That is all."
“My Count, I have the call to arms ready.”
Peter Florence looked up to see Justice Pearce standing just inside his office. He smiled.
“Good, good. Let me see.”
Gilbert walked up to the leader’s desk, and dropped a file on it.
“We have a digital file and physical copies we can send out.”
Florence read it over.
“Good. Yes, I like it. Send them out.”
Pearce nodded.
To whom it may concern,
The Free Enlightened Order of Aivintis needs your help. The Aeternist threat has struck again, and our beloved Queen and greatest military leader are both dead. The Order of Enlightenment fears that we are next. In light of this event, extreme circumstances have forced our hand. The only way to end the martial occupation of Aivintis by the Royal Army is for the good nations of Urth to send their militaries to assist. We will march on the Aeternists’ main backers, we will crush them, and we will chase them down into the wilderness and destroy them once and for all.
Out of fear of further Aeternist attacks, Peter Florence invites allied troops to lodge in the great city of Maven to protect it as the most active economic hub and the foreign affairs capital and to ally with a growing militia that is being recruited to assist the Order in restoring the peace.
May the Creator have mercy on our souls.
Peter Florence
Magister of Foreign Affairs, Count of Maven, and Generalissimo of the Armed Aivintian Militia[/spoiler]
Full Moon Airlines
Flight 172
7/12/2020, 1:25 PM local time
                Agent Leon Walters, an internationally active member of the GBOC, along with Agent Hanns Johner and Agent Luca Höss landed in Grandys, a long flight behind them and even longer days ahead. Operation Prospect, to investigate the recent international call to arms distributed by Peter Florence only hours before and to send back a report as to the best course of action to take, be it assistance, betrayal, or neutrality. Regardless of the stance Leon planned to recommend, he was ordered to offer support as an anonymous third party and gain an understanding of Florence’s odds of success. He was to, quote, “Maximize potential and benefits while minimizing risk”. They’d gotten him onto the plane a mere 45 minutes after the message was sent out, which was rather inconvenient as he was at the time on standby in another country and hadn’t expected work that day- though that was the job he worked and despite the inconsistency of it, it was the job he was the best suited for and loved.
                Leon shook Luca awake sharply and began retrieving their luggage while speaking in a hushed voice to the other two, “We’re to enjoy ourselves and pose as tourists, as far as anyone else is concerned we’re a group of friends who decided to take a trip. around 6:30 we’re to make our way to the car park off of George Dale Lane and pick up the black SUV, license plate… 7DX5018. From there we head down to Maven, drop the car off a few miles away, and walk into the Maven Hall.” The three departed into the city, though always wary of potential followers or suspicious individuals. Sooner than expected 6:30 rolled around, Grandys Great Bridge, Grandys Hall, and Owen Ward Music Hall all acting as parts of the disguise they wore as they toured the landmarks. Yet, precise as clockwork, a black SUV pulled out onto George Dale Lane at 6:34 PM,  license plate 7DX5018.
                The walk from the car was an unpleasant one, a storm having fallen upon the area during the drive which drenched their clothing and slowed them substantially, which was helped even less by the lack of light- the streetlights being few and apart. It was only by luck that they hadn’t managed to change into their formal wear back in Grandys, risking being late for the pick up at the car lot, so while irksome, the rain would be overall inconsequential to the mission. Having left behind their armaments as to not run into trouble with security the three were sure to make haste. Once at Maven Hall, with a change of clothes Leon hailed over a guard and whispered the words that would begin his work for the next few weeks, if not longer, “Mane Seditiosus”.
                Down the first hallway to the left, into the elevator, and up to the top floor- a keycard seemingly required to access either the elevator or more likely the floor itself. Leon noted his path as he was brought up to the office to speak with Florence, it would be one of the many things noted in his report back to Kalistad. Leon took his seat across from Florence and talks began- Agent Hanns Johner and Agent Luca Höss staying near the elevator door. He introduced himself with a bow before taking a seat, “Salutations, my name is Mr.Walters, and, following having received your message, I and my associates are here to assist in the name of a nation which at this time prefers to remain anonymous. Regardless, we are here to offer our assistance where needed and to both offer material or capital aid and to offer a combination of extra manpower in the event of both war and more importantly in any upcoming covert operations or stratagems, the latter of which is where I specifically come in. A pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
               Peter Florence raised an eyebrow at the greeting. He glanced to his second-in-command, who was leaning against a wall near the back of the room. The right-hand man responded with a slight nod. Standing up, Florence extended his right hand. “Good to meet you, Mr. Walters. What resources do you have at your disposal?”
                Leon accepted the handshake firmly and responded with a slight involuntary smirk at the inquiry. “I think that the most accurate way to answer that question is with a question of my own, what do you need?”
                “Manpower is always welcome, but particularly trained manpower. Assistance in training the Militia is good, and any guns and ammo we can get. They have a strong navy, so we need strong naval defenses. Artillery, bombs, even aircraft. We have money to pay, but our main form of payment is in exchange for our own goods and services. Oil, for one.”
                “We have more than enough military supplies and by proxy produce enough that we would be capable of supplying you with practically any arms, weaponry, tanks, planes, etcetera that you would want or need to raise your army into fighting shape- past that I have a few associates who are more than capable to train your troops. Past that, as I said before we have… a plethora of units such as myself capable of covert operations if you would rather stage this coup of yours less violently or have plans in that regard. In regards to pure manpower, we are more than able to send over heavily arms and well-trained volunteer units which we can mark off as mercenaries for legal reasons. As for payment… a combination of capital debt and trade would be able to cover the expenses, we’ll get to that once we have a better idea of the resources you have available to pay us back. For now, tell me of your struggle and what you need.”
                “Good. We need anything we can get. Send your trainers to the decommissioned army base just south of Maven. There we are gathering deserters, discharged soldiers, veterans, and volunteers to form our militia. There are soldiers patrolling the streets of every city in Aivintis right now. We have no idea which among them are sympathetic to our cause, but we are getting the word out. We need to arm and train this militia to become an effective fighting force, and we need your troops as a shock unit to lead the charge. We need bombers more than any other aircraft. We cannot compete with the Aivintian navy, so we are avoiding naval combat at all costs. We need aerial supply routes established and protected. Artillery is sorely needed. Tanks are welcome, but we prefer IFVs and APCs. A lot of the fighting will be in urban environments, we think. Your covert units would be put to better use coordinating with ours to take out Crown supply lines and leadership.”
                 “Alright, we can send a group of four trainers… and how many of our troops will you need? As for supplies, I’ll restate once more we can supply practically as much of any equipment, vehicle, or supplies as needed so if you can get me a quota on the amounts you’d like to request and a place to deliver them we can begin transportation. Tell me of this plan to take out the supply lines and leadership? I believe we could help quite a lot.”
                 “We will reveal the full plan once we know for sure you are a close enough ally. Colonel Wallace here will get you those numbers for equipment and the like. For the number of troops we need… I don’t quite know. The enemy force is a little over one million strong but I am sure they will also recruit a militia and I know they will request aid from foreign nations. We have a couple hundred thousand in various police, volunteer, and ex-Military forces by comparison. A few hundred thousand soldiers from three or four nations should be enough to overwhelm them if we move before they can call in allies, but if not then we might need more.”
                 “Well, should you be unwilling to give too much information regarding your plans, do tell where you want my associates to wait. We may be able to install double agents if you’d prefer, otherwise, we can simply have them in waiting or simply committing general sabotage. If you give me an estimate in the number of trained troops now I can run it by my superiors- that being said even with fewer men the difference in equipment may be able to make a difference should you request. Though it does worry me that if your plans don’t go as planned that allies will be called in against us.”
                 “About a third of our force has prior military experience. The rest is being trained by former military Officers in large groups. We have three major bases where training is occurring. Double agents would be a waste of manpower, we’ve already tried to infiltrate their ranks and failed.” Florence Paused for a moment, weighing his options before making his proposition, “Hmm. Tell you what. If your squad can seize a Crown naval shipment and sink their ships without them suspecting foul play, we’ll see about major ops. Until then, I want your covert ops team on standby until the war begins in earnest. Then you’ll set them loose causing damage wherever possible. If caught, your men are to commit suicide by slitting their own throats. This marks them as Aeternists.”
                 “Firstly, elaborate on this naval shipment. But, in regards to double agents I mean our operatives offer them support in the crisis with the intention of betrayal- but if you’re sure that it would be a waste I respect if you don’t take me council seeing as we have just now met. And worry not as to my men and their commitment, though I will instruct them on the method of suicide should they be caught.”
                 “Good.” He took a breath before elaborating. “Greater Aslough receives shipments via naval transports directly from Maven, Bricaster, and Frosthollow. Maven and Frosthollow have cut off these supplies, but Bricaster still ships them. These are transport ships going through Aivintian waters, which are monitored by the Aivintian coast guard, and being guarded by Aivintian warships. If your men can infiltrate the transport vessels, hijack the shipment, sink the ships, and make the whole thing look like an accident, then I’ll know you can be trusted.”
                 Leon paused for a second, rubbing up chin while in contemplation “To clarify- do you want the shipment sunk without any suspicion or do you want the cargo received and then the ship sunk?”
                 “The cargo received and the ship sunk. With enough luck they won’t waste resources trying to reclaim the supplies - they have enough problems already. If the op is in any way traced back to me, I will find out where you are from, you hear?”
                 “I appreciate your concern but threats don’t fuel good relations. How much cargo is on the vessel and how much do you want to be retrieved ideally?”
                 “Retrieve as much as you can. There’s a whole boatload, joke unintended. They take supplies twice a month. It’s mostly stuff we imported from other countries through various trade agreements and purchases, but they include some other stuff for efficiency.”
                 “We’ll see what we can do and once you establish the quota for the supplies you need, we’ll begin smuggling them to you. Get an estimate on the number of troops you’ll need and we’ll send some trainers to your military bases post-haste. We’ll also begin places agents throughout the country to be placed on standby.”
                  “Very well. Thank you for your support. We will not forget it.”
                 Leon stood once more, bowed, and spoke firmly, “Best of luck to your movement, we will await your responses and will begin planning for the upcoming shipment” Peter Florence nodded in acknowledgment and looked down at the papers on his desk silently. Nathaniel gestured towards the door, watching Mr.Walters leave. The men stepped back into their SUV, having made sure they weren’t followed. Leon let out a sigh, glancing at his watch, 11:47 PM- much later than intended but still enough time to finish the rest of their work for the night. He turned back to the other two, “We need a report done before we dare rest, I have a feeling this is going to be far from a short job… Likely they’ll try and see what the King’s side of this is and we need the preparations for our offers to begin along with some more agents in the area. I want to see what the King has to say before we take a side because as is, well our orders were to mitigate risks and maximize the benefits; not to start a war.”
Royal Grounds, Stuart Residence, Southwest Derrim[/pre]
King Thaddeus Stuart reigned in his horse as he arrived back at the Royal Residence in Southwest Derrim, noticing the Count of Derrim walking towards him, and noticing the solemn look in his eyes. He had just gone out for a leisurely ride to clear his mind, it couldn’t have been that long. Nothing that bad could have happened.
“My King, Peter Florence sent out a call for aid.”
Cursing, Thaddeus Stuart dismounted the dark brown horse, giving the reigns to one of the workers. A small regiment of armed guards followed him back into the mansion, fingers deathly still and deathly close to the triggers on their military issue assault rifles.
The Count led them through lavish halls into the relatively plain war room, where everyone was already gathered. One of the army Generals just sighed and slid a paper to his side of the table.
Thaddeus swore. “When did he send this out?”
“Only an hour ago, sir.”
“Is there any way we can cancel it or something?”
“No, sir. He sent out physical copies that have already been transported beyond our reach, and the electronic copies are protected. It would take hours to cancel them. By then, they’ll have reached someone. If not, then the physical copies still would be out there.”
“We have to try.”
“Yes, sir.”
Thaddeus turned to the assembled men. “Ready the military. Active forces, reserves, everything we have. We probably have enough arms to militarize a good chunk of the police. Secure more. Apart from that, see if you can contact former military and former police. We need all the manpower we can get. If I know Florence, then he is doing the same. Send drones, planes, whatever. Find out where he’s growing his army. Gather as much intelligence as you can. Restrict our current intelligence to only the people in this room. We have the upper hand here.”
“Yes, sir.”
GAP Headquarters, Kalistad, Grindoligarch[/pre]
Mikhail Volkov began to dial slowly and precisely, with the understanding that depending of the young King’s demeanor and their conversation were many lives and potentially the fate of the Monarchy itself. Having received Agent Walters’ recommendation for action he’d elected to reach out himself in order to make the decision as to the direction Grindolgiarch would take in this upcoming conflict. Of course, that would depend on the interaction he hoped to schedule with this call. Taking a deep breath and fixing his posture, assuring the listening device was securely in place to record the call, Mikhail hit the call button.
“Who’s this?” a gruff voice asks, suspiciously.
Mikhail responded smoothly and calmly, “Hello, this is Mikhail Volkov. I’m the International Representative of Grindoligarch. May I know who it is I’m speaking to before I state my intentions?”
“A trusted supporter of the true leader of Aivintis. Anything you want to say, you can say to me.”
“Quite simply, I’d be interested in arranging an in person meeting with King Thaddeus. The nation of Grindoligarch, of which I serve as a representative of, would be interested in establishing an understanding of the new King and potentially the establishment of relations among potentially other treaties with Aivintis.”
“This could easily be a trap.”
An audible, yet quick sigh over the line, “I would come to a location of your choice, with only two people in my security personnel. I’d shed the security personnel before coming into contact with your liege, assuming you’d be willing to shed the majority of your own personnel as to avoid some risk on my own end. I’ll permit searching of my person and will assure that I will not be armed.”
A pause, presumably for the man to converse with his associates.
“Here’s our offer: We will send you a location deep within our own territory, where you and two security personnel will be permitted provided you are relieved of all weaponry save handguns. From there, you will follow an unarmed representative, who will make sure this is true, to an undisclosed location to meet with the King, four armed guards, and another unarmed representative. After the meeting, you will leave first. Do we have a deal?”
“Absolutely, though I must request that you ensure all guards present can be trusted in the case of sensitive information.”
“Your request will be honored.”
“Once you communicate the location I should be there within a few hours. I appreciate the ability to speak with your King personally. Though I must ask, you never provided your name. May I know who I have arranged this with?”
“Count Archibald Klein of Derrim.”
“Well, I look forward to the upcoming meeting.”
“As does the King.”
A ring on the other line as Volkov hung up the phone, releasing a small sigh of relief.
Undisclosed Location[/pre]
“Hello there,” calls a voice from across a clearing. A man in full regalia and a heavy silver crown appeared through the woods, flanked by four soldiers with woodland camouflage, face paint, a green beret, and a cloth face mask. Each had a pistol strapped to their thigh and an automatic rifle in their hands.
Volkov dressed in a sharp grey suit and matching tie, flanked by two similarly dressed men, walked out into the clearing- lead by the representative. With a quick readjusting of his tie and a quick clearing of his throat Volkov returned the greeting, “I must say, this is rather unorthodox as far as international meeting go. It surprises me for a multitude of reasons that you’d choose this location and whatnot, but that isn’t important I suppose… armature psychoanalysis aside I’m here for a reason. Do you have any questions for me before I ask a few to you?”
“Haven’t you heard? There’s a war brewing. Can’t be too careful after two Magisters were assassinated. Do I have questions? Well I suppose for starters ‘Why are you here?’”
“I’ve heard, still it’s interesting. I’m here to gain an understanding of the King’s, your, intentions with your nations- especially considering the troubles to come, in order to establish a standing or to better comprehend if Grindoligarch should attempt to form any agreements or arrangements with your nation, and if so what would be the safest at this time. Anything else before I ask some questions of my own?”
“Ask away.”
“What are your goals for Aivintis? If you had the ability to change your nation unimpeded that is.”
“Monarchy restored once again. Me and my leadership have been working nonstop on several reforms that abolishes the oligarchy completely, changing Magisters to Ministers, dividing up government functions amongst multiple Ministries and even having a legislative and judicial branch. The power of government leaders will be reduced and the power of the monarch will be increased. Counties will have their own governments. We have a grand plan for Aivintis indeed.”
“And if your power is consolidated into your monarchy and vassal counties, what is your personal goal? What do you want as the Monarch?”
“I want to successfully oversee the transition into this new state and deal with any issues that may arise from the transition, and then I want to focus on increasing unity between counties and strengthening our military and economy. These last goals will also pass to whomever I choose as my successor.”
“Fair enough… And what other nations does Aivintis have alliences or treaties with, and by proxy you personally have?”
“Unfortunately, Aivintis has observed an isolationist policy for years since the Third Civil War. We have no allies. We are looking into requesting help from Asendavia and potentially more.”
“And as for potential imports and exports?”
“Imports would be a large variety of products that will most likely vary depending on how this go. Exports will be the same as always - timber, machine parts, automobiles, the like. We are a highly industrialized society with a backyard of trees and plains and rock, don’t forget.”
“And are you interested in focusing on international trade and coming out of this isolation?”
“Yes, I am eager to reach the international market. Isolationism was never a good idea.”
Volkov nodded slowly, “Before I say anything more, I’d like to be reassured that the people here can be trusted- especially considering your current nations state of affairs.”
“They can be trusted.”
“I suppose I’ll ask two things of varying importance. Firstly, let’s say we, Grindoligarch, happened to be one of the founding members of an upcoming international trading organization- would you be interested? I assure you it would help you in your goals to reach the international market and gain a greater influence in international affairs.”
“I would be more than interested in using a rising trade organization to insert Aivintis into the global market. In fact, it would be the perfect opportunity.”
“Alright…” Volkov closed his eyes for a moment considering his options before slowly nodding his head, “One last important question, how much are you willing to sacrifice to win this conflict? I’m not asking for you to sacrifice anything, I just want to know what you’re willing to do for your nation.”
“Whatever it takes.”
“One convoy. That’s all it would take and I can win you this war before it even starts. Want me to explain?”
“Yes, please go on.”
“I’m sure you’re familiar with the call for help sent out by Florence?”
“I am.”
“Grindoligarch prides itself on their secret service agents. Long story short, we replied and gained their trust- to a degree. We currently have our own veteran troops moving in to “reinforce” their own. We have arms and planes being smuggled in under the guise of assisting them. And we have training officers currently holding high positions in their encampments. All we need is one last thing and we can stop them before they get a chance to do anything. We had an arrangement per say, if we could sink and hand over the contents of a trading ship without and suspicion they have assured us in their trust. We sink the ship, gain their trust, use a wire to gain the evidence against them, and simultaneously strike down Florence while our troops in combination with some ambushing troops of your own clean up and arrest their military bases.”
“With Florence on trial for his crimes before the first move has even been made, he will lose a lot of support. My men are working on securing a… weapon that would take out large areas of people. We use that after Florence loses credibility, and he’ll barely have any troops to reinforce Maven. We could march right on through the front door.”
“The weapon would prove to only worsen your cause, firstly prisoners taken from the military based would prove useful if we lack sufficient evidence of Florence’s crimes and would allow for further investigations to other members and a sizeable PR boost. Past that, I have agents who will be able to meet Florence and take him on the spot once evidence has been gained- past that we’ll be sure to have contingency plans.”
“All it would take, is to sink the ship to gain his trust, either record or simply investigate his plan, and arrest or kill him on the spot while our troops wipe out the military bases from inside.”
King Thaddeus raised an eyebrow. “I did not say the weapon would kill them.”
“If you’d rather a neutralizing, non-lethal gas attack via drone or something similar that can be arranged as well. But please, do elaborate.”
“I would elaborate, but I am not in the business of revealing specifics of my plan to people who take so quickly to backstabbing.” He glanced at one of his guards, and back at the representative. “Here’s what you will do. You will meet up with one of my shipments during a storm, and you will arrange its ‘downfall’ however you like. Then you will act as spies and report to me with as much evidence as you can. Convince him to hold off and wait for his army to grow before taking action, but gain evidence that he plans to take action. When we have enough evidence to convict him, we will launch a specialized attack on their largest camp with this new weapon, which will neutralize a large portion of their forces, simultaneously releasing the information to the public and costing him support. You will frame the Count of Frosthollow as the spy so he does not become suspicious of you, and when he makes his next move - a defensive one, most likely - you will take out his guards and arrest him and his main supporters while we storm wherever he’s held up. Note that this plan can easily be changed the moment we suspect treachery on your end.”
Volkov slightly smirked, “Is it backstabbing if we went into it with the intentions to work with one side already? Regardless, I’m stating, we can likely bring you evidence of his treason, kill or arrest him, and clear out the military bases in a single swift maneuver. We have people who can meet with him in person who he will likely trust, we know the location of his workplace and home, we currently have troops in his military bases who are better armed and trained, and planes or drones that can be deployed within a few hours of request. Why give him a chance to react when you can do it all in one movement? And yes, we have incapacitating agents as well that we can use- though we try not to use them in the outdoors lest the weather is well suited.”
“Hmm. Please explain your plan in depth.”
“That depends, once we get the evidence do you care if Florence is alive or dead?”
“It would be best if he and the majority of his high ranking officers remain alive for trial.”
“We can attempt to keep the officers alive from the military bases or other areas of Maven Hall, but Florence specifically?”
“Florence must be alive for public execution. I don’t have much intelligence on his leadership, but I’m assuming he has advisors of some sort. I’d prefer them alive.”
“We sink the convoy as per their wishes to gain their trust and begin smuggling the contents somewhere that will soon be reclaimed. Around the same time, prior to the meeting we will simultaneously set up a device hidden in the air vents which will allow us to distribute an incapacitating agent throughout the building. We will have multiple listening devices positioned outside of the building on the exterior wall and hidden on our agents. The recordings will be streamed as to not risk the evidence. Once we have the evidence needed we will send out a signal and three things will happen simultaneously. A neutralizing gas will be distributed throughout the building as a combination of your police and my own agents in the area will storm the Maven Hall with gas masks. The agents upstairs will attempt to distract Florence as the gas incapacitates him- multiple snipers will be utilizing infrared to be able to kill anyone in the building if need be. Meanwhile my troops in the military camps will simultaneously begin incapacitating the other troops while your own ambush troops push in, we will try to minimize casualties but will be prepared with offshore drones and aircraft. We will organize the plan to correspond to a shipment of arms to their bases in order to be able to deploy more troops and potentially a few tanks or armored vehicles.”
The King listens thoughtfully. “I like the plan,” he says, “but currently I have no men inside the city that will risk their lives to storm the Hall. That part is up to you.”
“How many would you need? I can get, maybe a thousand, into the city without raising too much suspicion by the time we’re good to go.”
“That’s probably enough, especially if they are close enough to Maven Hall.”
“Alright, can I get an estimate on the number of troops you could get in place for the military base ambushes? And would you like my troops disguised as your own for the Maven assault?”
“Yes, if your troops can wear official Aivintian Special Forces uniforms and Crown armbands, it can give the illusion that we have somehow snuck past their defenses. As for an estimate, it depends how many you need.”
“150 thousand distributed well along with our own 100 thousand plus would make it an easy and sure victory.”
“Then that is how many will be there.”
“I’ll have Agent Shepherd here”, he nodded to the member of his security to his left, “Send you the location the the military bases and provide you with a way to get the signal to attack. In the meantime, just arrange for the ship to be prone to incident with minimal casualties, then cause some reason that you are not able to provide immediate support or retrieval to allow us to begin moving the equipment. Oh, and once things clear up- I’ll send you the information regarding the trading organization.”
“Sounds good. Keep me updated.”
As he and his personnel began to depart he turned and stated, “Agent Shepherd will reach out regarding the specifics of my request but I will need a little bit of info; designs of guard uniforms, pictures of all of the containers and any identifying markings, and knowledge of the quantities and quality of all goods being transferred. But, we can get to that later- Shepherd here will work out the kinks. It was a pleasure King Stuart, I look forward to talking over a few drinks when this is all said and done.”
