Tretrid's Embassy

Miss Gray,

We of the Confederate Islands of Free Syllvin have voted to leave the Coalition. We feel that the lack of response or acknowledgment from the Security Council or Coalition Forces to the invasion of our nation by the Daccic Republic is intolerable and unprofessional at every level of diplomatic and military protocol. The Confederate Islands joined the Coalition to strengthen our international relations and to assure our citizens that we would have allies abroad in the event of conflict. It appears that our decision was ill-judged.

As your nation sits on the Coalition Security Council, I would request that you contact the appropriate parties and allow the Council to officially acknowledge that Free Syllvin no longer is part of the Coalition. We have accepted the burden of defending our territories alone, and we do not wish to shoulder the responsibilities of a Coalition member any longer. The more expedient this process is complete, the sooner public opinion will stop regarding the Coalition as a detriment and simply an annoyance. The High Senate does not wish for relations to become more strained, but we are ultimately left to the decisions of our constituents.

OOC: The letter was discarded. The OP specifically said that any letter sent to the Executive Building can and will be ignored. Next time, send it to the Foreign Affairs Building.

Also, that text is way too large. What’s wrong with normal sized text?

If you want to send a message to the Prime Minister, don’t use the embassy thread. Make your own thread in the forum.

Greetings,

I realized that I did not satisfactorily define what the extradition agreement would entail in my previous correspondence, and would like to remedy that. At its essentials, it would permit our two nations to officially request for the other nation to capture and return criminals that have taken up residence or are being harbored in that nation. Though refusal to do so would be an option in such an incident, it would most likely be considered a diplomatic insult by the nation which initially made the request.

Fyodor Lyvov

OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE TRETRIDIAN DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS

To: Fyodor Lyvov
Minister of Foreign Affairs
The Militarized Communist State of Stratarin
From: Bartholomew Smith

Dear Mr. Lyvov:
We lament the loss of the former Foreign Minister, Rurik Lukin. His service to Stratarin’s foreign affairs still remain important today.

We are willing to accept your treaty only under the condition that you will not try to get political dissidents that left your nation extradited. However, we wish to help your nation’s quest to wipe out the criminal organization of Sem’ya.

We will need to know whether you accept these conditions or not.

Thanks,
Bartholomew Smith
Minister of Foreign Affairs
The Second Republic of Tretrid

Official Communication of the Realm of The Oan Isles
To: The Government of Tretrid
From: The Oan Government
Subject: War in Aurora

We welcome the recent declaration lf war against the illegitimate government that rules Xagrurg, which calls itself the Greater Xagrurgian Empire. Considering that we share common values such as democracy (to which the aforementioned terrorists are opposed), and subsequently our common enmity towards the terrorists, the Oan Isles wishes to extend a hand to the mighty Second Republic of Tretrid.

We wish to coordinate our operations in Aurora and beyond as will be required as the looming war drags out. We wish to avail our bases, airports and ports, logistics, intelligence, expertise and other support, and open our waters to the Tretridian fleet on its way to our troubled continent.

I hope that our cooperation on these matters will expedite the destruction of the enemies of peace and freedom.

With respect
Ese Ulua

Official Communication of the Realm of The Oan Isles
To: The Prime Minister and Cabinet of the Second Republic of Tretrid
From: The Oan National Council
Subject: Our common commitment to democracy

“Bring forth thy light Democracy, that we may be enlightened”. These are the words of Oan poet, Kualahasi and they ring true decades after they were written. In these trying times when the nations of the world, good and bad and light and dark, are pitted against each other, it is good to know where Tretrid stands.

The Tretridian people, the children of the Snow, the Forests and the Morning Star, are great. Hold thy high dear Tretrid, for thou hast dealt a blow to the Red Tiger! We thank your government for having the courage to show that democracy must, and shall, prevail. We thank you for standing with us in imposing sanctions against Stratarin.

Stratarin was, and will forever remain our friend. But her light has been dimmed and it is our responsibility to restore and enhance that light. We thank you for standing with the light. Spew forth thy light, oh great Tretrid, Keeper of the Lunar Dawn.

‘We have seen your response, but we will not resume trade agreements until we receive confirmation that the investigation on the coup that led to Mr. Starikov’s taking power is not influenced by Mr. Starikov himself or his affiliates.’

As I’m sure you’re aware, Minister Smith, these are your own words from a strongly worded message to my office on June 13th, 2017. Despite evidence being presented in my reply to the aforementioned missive, you have never responded to said evidence or declared the suspension of trade over.

I intend to rectify this error simply. The trade agreements between our two nations are officially canceled.

Sincerely,

Yekaterina Drugova
Minister of Foreign Affairs
The Militarized Communist State of Stratarin

(OOC: I never bothered to give a follow-up to the letter, but nothing interesting was uncovered.)
