Players can submit a performance from 2 of their nations/territories but they will not be able to give each other a top 3 vote or 8, 10 or 12 points.

“People of Urth, of all nations and species, the time has come again. It is my pleasure to welcome you all to Axdel for Urthvision Sixteen!” Says host Klalica Nellis in heavily accented Staynish as he strides onto the center stage, his striking silver eyes flashing across the audience and his iridescent teal crest plumage sparkling as UV stage lights danced across him. He was dressed to impress in a white blazer jacket and bowtie which contrasted starkly against the rest of his jet black attire. “Let me tell you, it is a bitter spring day here in Andel, but we have an absolutely amazing set of performances ready to to warm everyone up this evening broadcast live from the magnificent Lausker Arena. And so, without any further ado, lets get this show started already! Good luck everyone!"

[hr]

HERE WE GO!

Now, our opening performance this evening comes courtesy of Marten Achterkeamer from the one and only Blueacia! Mart always had the dream of becoming a famous singer in Blueacia. He participated in a few Blueacian talent shows like “The Voice of Blueacia” and “Blueacia’s Got Talent”, he never really got his chance to shine on the big stage though after that. Few years ago a clip of him singing a song on a beach with friends went viral and he finally got the chance to become famous he wished so hard for. Last March a project under some Blueacian singers and rappers was organized to lock themselves up in a mansion and write songs together. This is where Mart came up with this song, there was only alcohol in the building and it flowed heavily and supposedly he wrote this song in 20 minutes. He never expected it to be such a hit in Blueacia. But it has officially got the title of "Blueacian Summer Hit of 2021.”

Our next contestant comes from Tawuse from the band Walk the moon with their song “Shut up and dance”. The singer got bored in a bar waiting for his drink and then he saw a cute girl so he sang a song about her. Let’s give it up for them folks! (ends @ 3:29)

Moving across to Gondwana, the next performance comes from Cappedore! Despite being an older band, Keynes has delighted Cappedore and the world with its alternative rock music for decades. They are here performing their new single ‘Everybody’s Changing’ from their upcoming studio album ‘Desires and Terrors’.

Our next contestant, Vivancantadia, is coming in with another banger from it’s national finals! Wira Zhuri has won Vivancantadia’s 3rd national final - After three attempts - with her song “Zjarri Im” which translates to “My Fire” a symbolization of herself fighting through the problems in her life, and putting it into a song! Known for her infectious rhythms and ability to translate traditional sounds into modern pop, Wira whipped her hair, stomped across the stage and stayed the centre of attention even as flames shot into the air and men and women beat on oversized drums!! Will her flame shine through and win the trophy for Vivancantadia?

Next up is Mareill Calway of Varletia! Her song is about her own life experience. She tells how she emigrated to Varletia 10 years ago and discovered the country has she rapidly socialized and learnt how to live in the country. She comes from Meagharia and fled the country because she was repelled by her own nation. Give it up for Mareill!
Now we come to the contestant courtesy of Morstaybishlia, Ciron Bailey! Ciron is a 21 year old artist from Bramblewear, a town in the Zycannes, who has basked in relatively new local fame for his debut single 'Sweet Little Lie' in 2019, at the age of 18. An aspiring young artist, Ciron has not experienced fame at a large scale, and hopes to change that with the release of his new song for this competition 'As The World Caves In'. Take it away for the young Morstaybishlian!

Our next performance comes from Henrik Bjørnson of Norgsveldet! Henrik is a Gothir (essentially a priest in Asatru) from the city of Wergby, capital of Administrative region Nyveldet that is a part of Norgsveldet. Though since 2000, he is most know for being singer that has made quite the name for himself locally. With his song "Parkert ‘’ he hopes he can win hearts of voters around Urth!

And now we come to Augustia of Gondwana! “Love Me Again” by Augustian singer James Pullman is an Augustian Soul song written after a breakup that Pullman had endured. Using his love of music, he took it upon himself to create a song using brass wind instruments, along with hints of synth and with the chord progression of Gm—Bb—Dm—C in the key of G Dorian, a very common key in Augustian music. “Love Me Again” charted at number three on the Hot 100 for 47 weeks, nineteen of those inside the top ten.
Nellis discretely clears his throat to loosen his discomfort.

Uhh, up next is the first Urthvision appearance of Kæra’zna! As the first entry from the nation of Kæra’zna, the band Parlu wished to share history through the medium of song, adapted to better suit modern audiences in a song of the early 20th Century: Seminal. Take it away Parlu!

Alright, coming up now is an Urthvision favourite, New Leganes! After six editions sending entries in Staynish, one of them partially in Cukish, New Leganés brings to Urthvision a song in the other official language of the Commonwealth: Impelanzan. Káril Núñez and Anabella, both Shonerian and native in the Impelanzan spoken down there, will narrate a traditional Shonerian legend about miracles and hope.

The story describes the adventure of a mother and her son looking to end with the curse he has on his eyes: one day, she dreams about a well with waters that can bring vision to her son’s eyes. She looks for an old woman who interprets her dream as the Well of the Arán island. They take a boat and travel there; the mother performs a Tunseist pray to the ancestors so Tunsé blesses the well’s waters, and the next day, her son covers his eyes with the water and gets cured by the power of his ancestors and the hope of her mother.

Káril Núñez is a famous musician in Cukish and Shonerian folk, being expert on the flute and bagpipe he will now play. Anabella is a singer of a smooth and yet powerful voice, who has produced recently an album based on Shonerian mythology. They will try to earn the third victory for New Leganés, the only country that has won the contest twice.

As we approach the halfway point, our next contestant comes from the lovely land of Tivot! Popular in the 1980’s before the Salovian Civil War, the band Bitrisi has come out of retirement to re-perform one of the greatest hits, Loverboy! Take it away!

Now, If you've been watching the international news over the past few weeks, you'll probably have already heard our next entry from the West Borean Federation. Dzhón Farnun is bringing us one of the most iconic protest songs from the, let's just say "recent events", in the former Republic of Kyrloth. It's an anthem of solidarity, peace, and the power of the people. And hey, it might even be an actual, literal anthem - the people of West Borea will be voting on that (and many other things) in a couple weeks' time. So without any further ado, here is: "You're The Voice"!

Our next performance comes from Jink and Golden of Peregrinia! Jink, an up-and-coming artist, has teamed up with Peregrinese megahit singer Goldεn and a contestant on Urthvision 13 for his breakout single, “Redlights.” Currently one of the hottest songs in Southeast Yasteria and the rest of the Codexian speaking world. Jink grew up in Dutchagaap, was born into a military family, decided to join the local plive contest at age 15, and won the regional plive singing contest. After this win, his family supported his musical ambitions, which led him to move to Sarvis City, the p-music capital of Peregrinia. Jink did win the music survival show ENERGY at age 20 but lost at the plive finals but caught the eye of Goldεn, who recommended Jink join his agency. A year later, “Redlights” was written and hit the streaming waves, and became an international hit.

Coming up next is the contestant from Nagato! “Blue Monday” by Nagatoian rock band New Order is a urthwide smash hit that dominated the charts in 1983. New Order was the brainchild of brothers Ethan Silver and Edward Silver. Along with their friends John Won and Bertram Summer, they created the rock band, as well as introducing synth music to the masses. Blue Monday also was the first song ever to be recorded by Yuki Labels, Nagato’s largest music recording label.
Moving up to the Northwestern tip of Yasteria we come to Eyjaria with Gordon Timith! Gordon is a ethnic Staynish man born and raised in Rosaheim, Eyjaria. Being a famous singer within Eyjaria, Helslandr and Norgsveldet respectively. Though with Gordon’s new song, "Leave Me Alone", he hopes it might give a different perspective of how being a celebrity can bring some bad attention as well. With that we wish him good luck!
Now, our next performance comes on behalf of Weezer from Cascadii! Weezer, a popular band from Cascadii, came up with this song while one vacation. Because Cascadii is so cold a dreary, everyone wishes they could go to an island in the sun. And the main singer, Rivers, captured this feeling perfectly. Take it away Weezer!
Nellis reveals a comically long scroll from within his blazer and begins to read it.

Up next, it’s time for a unique, Urthvision first dual performance on behalf of both Dragonia and Oceansend! Calum Scott was born in Beverley, a small northern coastal town of the Lairdship of Ambryen, to parents Debbie Burton and Kevin Scott. His parents split up when he was four years old and his father moved to the City-State of Oceansend. He has a younger sister, Jade Scott, who is also a singer, and he is an uncle to her baby. Scott played the drums and his sister later encouraged him to sing. Prior to his fame, he worked in human resources. On 11 April 2015, Scott’s audition for the ninth series of Dragonia’s Native Talent was broadcast on AltairTV. Following his appearance on the show’s first episode, his Twitter followers jumped from 400 to over 25,000. The video of his audition has been viewed over 321 million times on YouTube. In the semi-final on 29 May, Scott performed “We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off” by Jermaine Stewart. One Judge commented “You really sound like a recording artist”, whilst another Judge suggested that he could have “success around the world”. He won the semi-final with 25.6% of the vote, sending him straight through to the final. In the final on 31 May, Scott performed “Diamonds” by Rihanna and finished sixth out of 12 contestants with 8.2% of the vote. After Dragonia’s Native Talent, Scott embarked on a series of shows around the Grand Duchy, including Future Star Awards, Barrior Islands Resort Fair, Ambryen Summer Nights, and The Weyrcliff Festival.

Leona Louise Lewis was born in Oceansend, to a father of Gondwana descent and an Oceansendian mother with both Axdel, and Emberwood ancestry. She has an older half-brother, Bradley, and a younger brother, Kyle. Noticing Leona’s passion for singing, her parents enrolled her at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and later at the small Oceansend Academy of Theatre Arts, the Ravenscourt Theatre School and the Desora School for Performing Arts and Technology in the Grand Duchy of Dragonia until they could no longer afford to do so, making cutbacks when necessary to help their daughter achieve her aspiration of being a singer. At the age of 17, Lewis decided to leave the Desora School to “get out there” and pursue a career in music. By then, she had already begun to write and record her own material. Returning home to Oceansend she worked as a receptionist at a solicitor’s office and as a waitress in order to fund the studio sessions. Her breakout moment was a cover of Nelly Clerkssen’s song “A Moment Like This”, released on 17 December 2014. In the City-State of Oceansend, it broke an Oceansendian record after being digitally downloaded more than 50,000 times in less than 30 minutes. The song became the 2014 Oceansend Christmas number-one single, selling 571,000 copies in its first week Urth Wide, and selling more than the Top-40 combined. It spent four consecutive weeks atop the Oceansend Singles Chart and was number one in Dragonia for six weeks. Despite being released on 17 December, “A Moment Like This” became the second best selling single in Oceansend in 2014, and it has been certified platinum by the Dragonian Phonographic Industry (DPI), denoting shipments of over 600,000 copies. As of December 2018, Lewis’s version has sold over 1,000,000 copies Urth Wide.

Calum and Leona met at The Weyrcliff Festival in 2016 that they were both scheduled to sing at. Now five years later, they collaborated and joined forces to enter the 2021 UrthVision as a combined contestant entry for both the Grand Duchy of Dragonia and the City-State of Oceansend.

Alright Alright! Next up is the Sokalan band Joe and the Mamas. Coming from Brimmingham, Joe and the Mamas is a comedic band famous for their various singles. Let's give it up for them folks. Here's “I hate my exes”!

Now for our next performance we have the contestants from Durakia! After making a conscious decision to refuse to play the last Urthvision, Durakia is back to present a more “up-to-date” act, presenting Excellent Cadaver, a band with a name reportedly created by the lead singer in the proud Durakan tradition of ‘a bad drunk choices we’re too stubborn to change’, with their nominal attempt at a deoarture from their usual style with “Everybody Knows That.” Good luck out there!

Our next band are real hometown heroes - hailing from Daukvra, Aduraszna, the cool quintet of Sudar Sitas are bringing to Andel the eclectic dance-pop-disco drive that powered their last four albums to the top of the Aszar Albums Chart. This is by far and away the least popular song with the production crew, and you'll see why soon - there's just so much going on. Distinguished guests, this is: "I Don't Feel Like Dancing"!

We’ll be staying in Borea for a little longer as our next contestants are from Nystatiszna! Coming from humble roots playing gigs in local cafes and bars, this song by The Dead South takes place in a marriage gone wrong where the partners kill each other. They are sing their last goodbyes to each other in the mortal realm and that they will see each other in the (bad) afterlife. Here’s “In Hell I’ll be Good Company”!

Up next is our submission from Arkalarius which comes from the Gösmarcker smash-hit heavy rocker himself, Diö! Coming straight out of Celje with a brand-new metal masterpiece, he’s ready to rock the stage and rock your hearts with his chart-smashing single, "The Last in Line". Give it up for Diö everyone!
Our next performance comes from a new Allegheny group called Nakht Vauntsh, we have the song Taikatalvi. They have taken one of the old tongues of Allegheny and turned it into a musical ensemble with this fitting tribute. This is “Taikatalvi”!

Whats that? We’re on the final Three already! That just means the show isn’t over yet, and up next we’ve got a performance courtesy of Vladimir and the Buccaneers from Iphelklori! Vladimir and the Buccaneers are Iphelklori’s top artists when it comes to metal, and tonight they will be playing their song “Blow your mind,” Take it away guys!

For our penultimate contestant we have Irmãos Calema from the one and only South Peragen! For their third time in the contest, South Peragen's entry will be brought by the brothers Empel and Timótea Calema. It's sung in a language similar yet different to the official Impelanzan: Sulcinian, and its election has not been free from controversy. The national broadcaster, RATESUPER, wants to show the cultural diversity present in such a complex country as the one south of the Peragen, not only singing in a regional language but also ornamenting it with very defined sonorities from the Peragian Outer Lands; however, the most conservative areas of society, as well as the party Peragian Action, have criticized "making the local represent the global'' and demanded to, at least, sing the song in Impelanzan. The brothers' answer has been clear: a Pigeon post insulting the pan-Peragian nationalist party. The brothers have stated later their intention to leave politics aside while they stay in Axdel.

"Saudade’’ is a term of difficult translation to other languages. It means something similar to “missing something that never happened or can’t happen again”, and defines a Sulcinian culture that has this feeling as an identity: a melancholic life that, nevertheless, can be enjoyable. The song’s sonority tries to transmit that mix of lower tonalities with rhythms that will invite the audience to dance and enjoy an evening party in Axdel as if it were by the Sulcinian beaches. Lets give it up for Irmãos Calema with “Saudade”!

And of course, last but certainly not least from Axdel we have an unconventional performance from Resuñale Keizha! Resuñale is an electronic music producer from Quartz Fern Coast who is relatively unknown in the global mainstream, although he hasn’t let that deter him at all! The song he has chosen is an audiovisual experience unlike any other, and uniquely lacks any vocals! Quite the gamble, let's give it up for Resuñale Keizha with “Minimalist Values”!

“Wow! Well that was certainly something wasn’t it!” Beamed Nellis. “I can’t begin to describe the talent and courage it took for everyone who performed tonight, so let’s give them another big round of applause as thanks for the amazing show we just had! Now we move on to the voting, as the judges from each nation and you viewers watching at home give their verdict on which performance was the best of the best! See the instructions on screen now!”

[hr]

OOC Voting instructions:

Post a reply in this thread that includes:

  • The name of the nation voting (especially if you have two nations voting). The nation must be a participant or the vote wont be counted.

  • Points to countries (12 points to the most popular entry, 10 to the second most popular, then 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 points) (Nations controlled by the same person cannot give each other more than 7 points, and a nation cannot give points to itself).

  • Framing the vote as short speech from the country’s announcer á la Eurovision and past Urthvisions, as opposed to just a numbered list, is encouraged but not required.

The voting will run until the end of Sunday, October the 10th (by UTC time) or until every participating nation has voted.

[hr]

“Whilst we wait for the votes to come in, I’ve just received word that the band who brought Urthvision here to Axdel, three-time Urthvision veterans Bemuse, are going to give us an exclusive interval act,” Said Nellis excitedly. “This never before heard single is about chasing their dreams and how far they have come from their humble high school band beginnings. So, everyone please give it up for Bemuse with Starlight!”

What appears to be an intern in a cheap suit and tie walks onto screen. He reads off a sheet of paper and has clearly not had any sort of training for announcing anything, least of all to a captive audience of millions across the world. He clears his throat, and begins speaking in a heavily accented nasal monotone so potent that it instantly becomes a meme on Staynish-language Pigeon.

Hello, Urth. Thank you for your very kind welcome. It is an honour to finally participate in this fantastic festival. We wish the best of luck to Sudar Sitas, and also to all the other competitors in Axdel here tonight. And now, the points from Aduraszna. Congratulation to Ciron Bailey.

“Good evening all of Urth! It is always pleasure to participate in this event, and each time us Norgsveltians back home, hope to bring it back to Osfjord! Though I shall not occupy you to much, since I am certain the audience is quite intrested what our Jury has decided to give our points too!”

“It is wonderfull to be once more on Urthvision, without further talk and delaying here is point Eyjarian jury decided to give out!”

A massive Ursine wearing a suit with the sleeves removed flickers on to the screen.
He gives what might be concerned to be a smile but comes off more as a snarl.
"Greetings from Akua’s blessed country of Nystatiszna! It is a pleasure to hear the artists performed!
The Ursine pulls out envelope from his suit pocket. After spending a awkward amount of time to open it, a young nekomimi stagehand will come over and open it for him.

“Ah yes, thank you. Everyone give a hand to our lovely intern Edvard.”
The room fills with silence. Then he starts reading off

“Our first point goes to Augustia.
Second point goes to Morstaybishlia.
Third point to Varletia.
Fourth point to Cappedore.
Fifth point goes to”

The Ursine pususes for a moment, giving a clearly forced cough.
“Sorry, I had something in my throat. Our fifth point goes to the Norgsveldet Imper… Friends to the south across the sea.”
The Ursine stops again, he looks over off camera and calls over the intern.

“It appears I’m coming down with something. Edvard will take over.” The Ursine hands over the sheet of paper and storm off camera.
Edvard looks perplexed but he looks back at the camera. Sounding more cheerful than he should be as he reads off the list.
“Sixth point goes to neighbors Aduraszna!
Seventh point goes to Iphelkori
Eighth point goes to Eyjaria.”
The nekomimi gives a charming smile as he reads off.
“Ten points to the West Borean Federation!”
What joy the intern was gaining from this endever quickly when away as he read the final vote.
“Twelve points goes to Kaera’zna.”

TALIYA
“So uh, sorry about this but I just gotta make sure the cameramen are in place. Mikhail?”

CAMERAMAN 1
“Da, Tovar!”

Taliya nods and writes a tick in her notebook

TALIYA
“Right, um, Chel?”

CAMERAMAN 2
“Oui madam!”

Again, a nod and a tick. Some of the crowd start looking at each other

TALIYA
“Sorry guys, one more and we’re done. Michel?”

CAMERAMAN 3
“Ja Taliya!”

As Taliya ticks off once more, the lights brighten, shining on the presenter as she absent-mindedly tosses the notebook behind her, before gently tapping the microphone

TALIYA
“And that, folks, is what we in Arnstal call a Mike check.”

A good mix of groans, laughter and cheers from the crowd

TALIYA
“Some reaction, huh? The production manager told me that it wasn’t worth hiring across West Novaris for a corny joke but hey, there’s nothing more entertaining than keeping the entire world in suspense just to make a joke, so I’m thinking it was worth it-”

More laughter

TALIYA
“Anyway, Heya folks! I’m Taliya-Menzik Lieberwitz and I’d like to say that there are a lot of things that can divide us, appreciation of bad jokes included, but I think it’s events like these that can help us be brought together. Sail back to Western Novaris and steer clear of the weird salt, 8 points to Varletia!

And now, receiving a stunning 10 points from the people of Durakia, give it up for the silver medallist, Tawuse!

Finally, what you’ve all been waiting for, don’t touch that dial because there’s only one nation with a man who we’re glad can sing better than find love, our 12 points go…

…to SOKALA!

The sound of a piano plays as the screen noticeably warps and glitches

https://youtu.be/0I8fghtBd_8

The screen finally fades, revealing a small, dimly lit newsroom with an elf sat at the desk, grey skin and half-closed white eyes, speaking in a dull monotone as Codexian subtitles appear under him

-inded that the Zu’la’fylf is both dangerous and off limits to all citizens, and ignorance of such will not be tolerated. The fallen should set an example, In other news…

His dull, empty eyes widened a small amount, as he clears his throat to begin speaking in an oddly accented somewhat sarcastic Codexian.

“Hello World! I hope you may all hear me well. Welcome to the first, and may well be the last, international report for the Collective Broadcasting Department! As we approach the infinite nothing of entropy that will one day embrace us all, our top story today is Uuur…þyson? Is that how you say it…? Eh, close enough. Ur’þyson. I hope you all are excited for the assignment of quantitative arbitrary values to subjective art in order to control the opinions of the masses. We even have little flags!

He waves a small Cukish flag before unceremoniously dropping it into the bin next to him
“Oops-…Well good job we weren’t giving them points anyway…! Speaking of anyway, let’s get onto these so-called points you all want.”

He takes out a sheet of A4 paper from a fancy looking envelope

“This sheet is blank by the way, props department can’t spell half of these fake sounding countries. Regardless, here’s the points!

One point goes to our great allies and friends in Kyrloth!”

An aide runs over to the presenter and whispers in his ear

“Ah, my lovely assistant has kindly informed us that the nation I just referred to wishes to be known as the West Borean Federation…

So, anyways, congrats to Kyrloth for getting a point, I’m always a fan of Kyrlot music, Three cheers for Kyrloth everyone!”

He places a small Kyrloth flag upon the table, before ‘accidentally’ knocking it over into the bin

“You know… flags are a rather tacky prop in all honesty. We can live without them, and we can die without them too. Next up, two points go to the nondescript isles of Eyjaria! See, we’re not partisan, we can include nations we hate on this list too y’know? Even when their music doesn’t make me hope their country sinks into the ocean any less.

Speaking of isles, our next point receiver is one that sits awkwardly in that bit between Yasteria and Aurora, it’s Peregrinia! Now, what can I say about Peregrinia? No, seriously, I’ve never even heard of it. I swear you all are just making up countries at this point. Anyway, three points to them I guess, if they’re real.

Either way, four points go to the nation that is quickly turning fornicate to, well, floracate. Our allies that take tree-loving to the next level, four points for Cascadii! Now, for Cascadii our props department gave me a nice little tree to show our friendship but well…”

He holds up a very dead bonsai tree

“Well, death comes for us all I suppose. Hopefully I can take you all with me!

Next up, our hosts, who are very much regretting their decision right now I suspect, it’s Axdel getting 5 points! Ahhh Axdel, the only place where I believe the word “birdbrain” would be considered a compliment. Not smart enough to fly to a better country, but hey, we all have our flaws. Well, I don’t, but I’m sure you all do!

Ok top five, finally… You know, I didn’t even like any of these songs. They sound like a dying cat. No offense to Ms Ingrid, of course.”

He pauses

“Ok maybe a little offense, but only enough that we’re still okay diplomatically if she gets the paper hat Nystatiszna calls a crown.

In fifth place, with more salt than a Durakan every time someone calls them East Asendavia, it’s Varletia! Now, what to even say about Varletia? Their capital sounds like a drunken gurgle? They’re so hipsterish and irrelevant that I’d rather be in West Novaris? I don’t know. Six points to South Cryria.

In fourth, receiving Seven points, it’s Cappadore! I’ll be nice to this one. They have a fun name. Cappadore, Cappadore- Say it in the right way and it sounds like a brand of substandard pasta! You know, the ones you put in the microwave, overcook and then just stare at as you wonder why you’re even alive anymore. Pairs well with cheesy garlic bread and depression!

Ok three to go… Eight points go to our favourite neighbour! Yeah, I know, that’s not saying much. It’s like picking your favourite funeral, or your favourite terminal illness. Orphan cremation and heart failure, but still, give it up for Nystatiszna! And by it, I mean your hopes. Seriously, that place is so terrible we have to deal with their people trying to cross the border just so we can shoot them. But hey, can’t say no to target practice I suppose.

In second place, with a propensity for trying to conquer the world and a list of atrocities to make a Tretridian blush, it’s Morstaybishlia who gets our 10 points! Now, I’m not calling them a stayne on the world map, I’m just thinking it realllllly hard. But hey, at least I’m not alone on this, who knew that splitting up ethnic groups like you’re the fat kid at a birthday party would make people upset? But still, keep trying to stir up sympathy for terrorist attacks done against you, I’m sure the ghosts of your slaves are feeling so sorry for you right now.

And now, we come to the first place. It’s the filling to the worst sandwich on the map, smack dab between that ex the MBE keeps calling whenever it wants to mess with the international community by deciding to subvert the opinions of most of the world and then wonder why the IF said no to Pax, as well as Vekaiyu. Vekaiyu’s wiki says it’s one of the more important nations, so I’d like to give it an award for humility. Well, I’d like to but I hear so little of them I have no clue who to send it to. Anyway…our number 1, the winner of these 12 meaningless points…Allegheny!”

The newscaster given a grin to the camera and the screen quickly goes black

Holy crap Nellis, what the fuck is wrong with those guys
SHHH! Just ignore them, you’re up now, get out there quick!

“Well well well, if that wasn’t one of the best set of performances in Urthvision history, if I do say so myself! The public votes were the closest I’ve ever seen them, so it all came down the the decision of the Jury. So without further ado, here are the final scores from Axdel!”

A man in a well-tailored business suit stands next to a large screen that is just as tall as he is.  He smiles into the camera and speaks.

“Beannachtaí Urthvision sé déag ó Ard-Diúcacht Dragonia!”

He gives another smile to you the viewing audience and speaks again.

“Greetings Urthvision Sixteen from the Grand Duchy of Dragonia!”

“I’m Mark Hendel.  Aaaannnnd!”  He gestures to the large screen next to him and it flickers to life showing a woman in a summer dress who gives a little wave and says.

“I am Jana Tarrant and I give you warm hellos to Urthvision from the City-State of Oceansend!”

The man nods to his video companion, “Thank you Jana for being able to join me here in our Altair Studios for this Urthvision Sixteen announcement.”

“I know you; the various nations of Urth that are watching this wish us to tell you the votes,” Mark started.

“But before we do, we,” Jana gestures toward Mark and back to herself, “we would like you to be aware of how both our nations decided to vote for this Urthvision.”

“Because,” Mark started back up, “both of our nations combined into one act.”  He paused and nodded to Jana in the screen.

“We have also decided that all the votes from both the City-State of Oceansend,” Jana began.

“And the Grand Duchy of Dragonia’s votes shall be tallied up as if we were only one nation that did the voting.”  Mark finished.

Jana nodded, “Don’t worry, as “One Nation”;” she air quoted with a smile, “we will still follow the Urthvision Rules and Guidelines.”
