This relatively large nation boasts luscious green terrain dotted with forests and plains, and mountainous regions to the extreme west. The nation benefits from favorable rain patterns, making it an ideal place for vegetation to grow. Rivers near growing plains are typically swollen during the summer months, but irrigation channels built during ancient times have tamed some waterways over time.
Vekaiyu is politically bordered by Listonia and Coocoostan to the east, Packilvania to the south, and Allegheny and Bai Lung to the west. The north is dominated by the Gulf of Itur. Farther north, Verania sits between Vekaiyu and Vulshain. Vekaiyu is a relatively large-sized nation in the realm of The East Pacific, and is located on the continent of Yasteria.

The Federated Alliance of Free Pacific States wishes to express its deepest concern regarding the recent Vekaiyun Union invasion of Elphana. This unprovoked act of aggression sparks unnecessary violence, and represents an unjustifiable violation of the sovereign rights of Elphana. The Federated Alliance condemns the invasion, and calls for an immediate cease fire, and for the immediate withdrawal of all Listonian military forces from Elphana.
The Lyonese Republic condemns the Vekaiyun Union invasion of Elphana, and calls for the immense withdrawal of all Listonian military forces from Elphana. The sovereignty of nations must be respected, except in special circumstances that do not exist here.
The Listonian action on Biyongo, the southern province of Elphana, precipitated from Commodore Aleki Iyugasi and his disregard of orders. It is believed the commodore in question may have grown impatient and ordered the attack unilaterally at approximately 0400 hours. This infraction caused an advancement into Elphana by two Listonian divisions. Commodore Iyugasi was slain in battle before dawn. While the incident did not stop the advancement at first, order was quickly restored by higher echelons of Listonian command. At approximately 0710 hours, a cease fire had been communicated across the Listonian lines in entirety.
Vekaiyu is committed to peace through diplomacy in this conflict. The Vekaiyun Union is diligently working to formulate a peaceful resolution in this incident.
The Federal Republic of Rhodesia expresses it’s desire for reciprocal diplomatic recognition and construction of each party’s respective embassy. We hope that continued diplomatic relationship with both of our countries will be mutually beneficial.
