Please be advised only Registered Voters as recorded and Voter Registration - The East Pacific - Tapatalk by the Voter Registration Directorate at the announcement of this vote may vote for the proposed amendment. For reference to the law this referendum may amend, please view The Concordat of the East Pacific - The East Pacific - Tapatalk. The matter at hand is an amendment to the language of Concordat Article B. It appends language to Article B permitting the Provost to edit the Concordat or any statutory law at their discretion, subject to limitations by Conclave and the Magisters.

Voting Procedure

Voting is open for a period of approximately one week from the time this referendum is announced until Sunday, May 15th, 2022.
This vote will close on Sunday, May 15th, 2022, at 11:59 PM UTC (7:59 PM EDT).
Votes made or edited after this time will be discounted. Votes cast from citizen accounts not registered to vote will be discounted and are liable to penalty as voter fraud.

Vote ABSTAIN or PRESENT if you find yourself unable to reach a decision in good conscience.

Section 10) Should a spelling, grammar, naming, or formatting (in relation to the rest of the legislation’s format) error exist in the Concordat or statutory law, the Provost may make a discretionary direct edit to correct said error, so long as such an edit does not change the legal effect of the legislation. Such edits shall always be announced and recorded in a public area. The Conclave may reverse any edit that violates this clause by a 2/3 majority vote.

Section 11) Any Magister may motion, with support from another Magister, to remove the Provost for misuse of their ability to make discretionary edits via a 1/2 majority vote - a successful motion shall initiate the vote with the Provost being suspended solely for the vote’s duration.

The voting period has ended. Of the 14 ballots cast, 1 was found invalid due to lack of registration. Of the 13 valid ballots, there were 8 ayes, 3 nays, and 2 abstentions. Therefore, the amendment passes with an 8/11 (72.7%) majority, satisfying Concordat Article I.2.
