Historical Summary: Monarch Diidëric I ‘the Great’ (‘dë Groote’) formed the Kingdom of Foxen Lands (Kooningëriic dër Vücsice Lannen) by uniting the extant kingdoms of Voctëvalen and Droocëbant, founding the capital of Bergëpas, and reigned from 1266 to 1289. Monarch Astrit II ‘the Grand’ (‘dë Heerliike’) reigned between 1595 and 1654 and established the legislature, the Lannëdaak, seeing over the golden age of the kingdom (renamed to Vücsëlann), flourishing in a renaissance of the arts and an enlightenment in the sciences. After the assassination of Vreedëric III, disguised as a fatal accident, the heir Günter I ‘the Boneheaded’ (‘dë Stompëzinige’) set in motion schemes to subjugate the population and set harsh laws and commands, suspending the Lannëdaak. After having drunk copious amounts of beer, Günther revealed that the army should be prepared to invade the southern bordering nation, at which point the royal aides and guards, spearheaded by Clotiilde Langëoor, overthrew the monarch, leading to the death penalty being awarded. Clotiilde would go on to become the first prime minister of the first republic, reopening the gates of the Lannëdak. In 1926, with tensions rising between leaders of radical political ideologies, the legislature was restructured, replacing traditional parties with unorganized policy groups each identified by a color and a core program. This is recognized by historians as the beginning of the second republic, which is the current iteration of the country.
