What’s with these Viziers?

Viziers in TEP are nations that have been granted special privileges to go above the endorsement cap but not surpass the delegate in endorsements except in special circumstances. They’re represented on the World Factbook Entry in our region.

How are Viziers selected?
The details are located in our Concordat, but Viziers are appointed by the delegate, then voted on by the Magisterium. If the the Magisterium approves of the nomination, he or she becomes a Vizier. Viziers have historically been selected for their longevity, regional influence, and trust they’ve earned in the region.

Why do we have Viziers?
Viziers are generally used for three scenarios: if the current delegate goes mad with power or and coups the government, a group of invaders overthrow the delegate, or if there’s a nation in the region that requires banning that has too much regional influence for the delegate to take care of. In any of these three special circumstances, the Viziers of the region will spring into action to protect TEP.

If the first situation happens, listen to what the Viziers are saying in the region and endorse them while withdrawing your endorsement from the delegate. Here’s a good way to check if there’s something wrong: if all viziers are against the delegate and the delegate’s words seem to contradict those of other prominent people in the region, something’s probably wrong. Furthermore, the government will not recognize him or her as the legitimate delegate of the region.

If it’s the second situation, endorse the delegate and viziers, and encourage other nations to do so. This is your region too, and it’s the responsibility of all of us to ensure our region remains independent, sovereign, and safe.

If the third case happens, just follow orders from the delegate and change your endorsements accordingly.
