Magisters of the (currently) 65th Magisterium of the East Pacific, I wish to inform you of my plans to run as Provost for this upcoming 66th Magisterium.
Well, here’s that notification.
If cherry blossom petals can’t form the floors of the Delegate’s office, then I will have to settle for the Provost’s.
Now, some of you may hold reservations about me being Provost following the disaster that was 52. And your concerns are entirely valid. However, I’m certain that I have proven through my time as Deputy Provost here in 65 that I have changed. Grown. Matured. And I hope to continue that sort of behaviour being the one in charge.
As much as AC has done, I feel that perhaps it’s time he takes a break from the Office (no offence). After all, he’s been Deputy for the past five years, in addition to being Provost, so I’d say he deserves a much-deserved break.
As for what I will do as Provost, in terms of monthly roll calls (which, if I remember correctly, weren’t really that monthly), those would be staying. On the first of every month during my term, I will hold a roll call.
Now, for my Deputy pickings, I would rather have a mix of experienced and new, that way we can train people to be Provost should they wish to pursue that branch of the cherry tree that is the Magisterium, while having people to turn to if we have questions.
Of course, efficiency is going to be one of the things I focus on, which is why in addition to having a range of experience when it comes to my Deputies, I will also be looking for a variety of time zones, that way a vote can open or close within a timely manner, no matter who’s awake.
To facilitate all these, I would open an interest form for those wanting to be Deputy Provost, that way I can assemble the best squad I possibly can.
Thank you all for hearing me out, and I hope we can turn this Magisterium into a powerhouse.
Remember, the blossoms are only as beautiful as the tree they come from.
