Why do we keep an endorsement list?

If you haven’t noticed, TEP keeps a running count on the forums of nations above a certain number of endorsements. Traditionally, this number has been fifty, but it is subject to change based on who is actually keeping track of said numbers. This is a process that has been on-going in TEP for nearly two and one-half years, according to the date of this publication.

Why does such a list exist?
It’s all about security. The list helps us see if anyone’s over the endorsement cap, or if anyone has collected many endorsements at one given time in order to detect who may be in danger of going over the cap. The list has been used in the past for monitoring delegate changes too, and it’s actually interesting to watch such changes occur.

Hey, I’m on that list!
Relax, many people are. Just because you’re on the list doesn’t mean “we’re watching for you.” It just means you’ve collected above a certain number of endorsements. Old, seasoned members and new members alike will be on the list at any given moment. It’s really not that big of a deal, nor is it a problem. It’s really simple bookeeping.
