2008 State of the Union Address
President Antonius Cardiff will be giving the 1st annual State of the Union address tomorrow at parliament in Antonius. Reports tell us that he is very excited to deliver the 1st annual State of the Union in Welshlendian history.
The President of Lazlowia visiting?
Reports have confirmed that President Lazlow will be visiting soon. The Welshlend Secret Service and Police Force are planning on guarding him and President Cardiff as they meet.

2008 State of the Union Address
This night at 8:00 PM EST President Antonius Cardiff gave the 1st State f the Union Address. This is what he had to say:
My fellow Welshlendians it is a great honor to stand in front of Parliament and to be filmed live as I give the first State of the Union Address. We have just formed and as all new forming countries we have encountered problems. The new first parliament will determine whether or not these problems will be resolved or become ongoing. Crime is one of Welshlends major problems. We are in an ongoing battle between our police force and criminals. Our police force is on recruitment over drive for we need to put an end to this atrocity at once. Some good things are that the economy is booming, the education system is working, and our military is now considered powerful. Welshlends First annual Ball is another delight our government is looking forward to, for foreign relations among other countries in the region will be improved. But in general the country has had its highs and lows over the months. But I promise everyone in Welshlend that even though we live in a crazy world Welshlend will still remain the wonderful nation we all call our home.

Welshlends 1st Annual Ball will be thrown on March 14th in the Presidential Mansion in Antonius. President Cardiff is very exited for this event.

President Antonius Cardiff has just been shot at!

At 3pm EST President Cardiff was returning from a meeting with The Antonius school district on education policies. While returning Anarchist Robert Lusicen made his way up on top of an apartment complex and shot at the President with a M40 sniper rifle. The three rounds missed the President and hit no one. After the three shots Secret Service agents quickly escorted the President out of the premises. Police along with Secret Service agents quickly made their way to the apartment complex and apprehended the assassin.

The Welshlendian Federal court after 10 days has decided to put Robert Lusicen to death by lethal injection on March 25, 2008 for attempting to assassinate President Cardiff.
