[A-2024-38] Amendment to the Citizenship Act

Magister Mangegneithe has proposed an amendment to the Citizenship Act. This amendment would introduce a time limit for new applicants for citizenship to respond to telegrams from the Citizenship Office. This was motioned to vote by Magister theclockworkvixen on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 12:06 PM and seconded by Provost Pauline Bonaparte on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 12:07 PM.

…3.4. The Office may deny any Citizenship application for reasons of regional security concerns, incomplete application, provision of falsified information and/or ejection from the WA. Said denial may be appealed to the Conclave within two weeks of denial.
…3.4.1. The Praesidium may vote to overrule the Office’s decision to grant Citizenship for reasons of regional security.

…3.4.2. If a telegram from the Citizenship Office is not replied to within fourteen days, the associated citizenship application shall automatically expire, in which case a new citizenship application must be submitted in order to be accepted.

This amendment needs a majority of voting Magisters and a 50% quorum to pass.

Voting period of 168 hours (1 week) occurs between the following time period
Tuesday, October 1, 2024 4:10 PM UTC→Tuesday, October 8, 2024 4:10 PM UTC
