I realized recently that, if someone made a citizenship application, and someone sends them a telegram to confirm the details in order to grant it, and the person just ignores us, they can wait a year and then confirm and we’d still technically have no reason to deny them the application, even though their application would be lost in a flurry of posts and it would be a bureaucratic difficulty to deal with. This amendment, I think, makes the Citizenship Office much easier to manage.
…3.4. The Office may deny any Citizenship application for reasons of regional security concerns, incomplete application, provision of falsified information and/or ejection from the WA. Said denial may be appealed to the Conclave within two weeks of denial.
…3.4.1. The Praesidium may vote to overrule the Office’s decision to grant Citizenship for reasons of regional security.
…3.4.2. If a telegram from the Citizenship Office is not replied to within fourteen days, the associated citizenship application shall automatically expire, in which case a new citizenship application must be submitted in order to be accepted.
This may not be strictly necessary, tbh, but I see no reason not to do it for the headache it will save me. I can be convinced of a different length of time as well to ensure it doesn’t bar good-intentioned new folks who are just late.
