The Sing Ren Police Force has formally suspended 5 officers who refused to formally charge 1,000 individuals who were arrested in the city for breaking the New Years Day curfew.

None of the accused have committed violence but congregrated in the downtown area during the prohibited hours. But the 5 police officers have refused to charge them and deliberately ran down the clock and released all detainees.

The Sing Ren Police Force has announced that the 5 officers have been suspended and will attend a disciplinary hearing a month from the day from the date of their susepnsion.

POLICE ARRESTED DISGRUNTLED CHEF IN MASS BEETROOT SALAD POISONING.

Police have arrested a chef in connection with a mass food poisoning incident at a restaurant in Pingjing.

Pingjing police force have confirmed that they have arrested 50 year old Ruan Dí yī, who works at Po’s Restaurant. The police have accused Mr Ruan of deliberately poisoning customers with expired beet root and using for the restaurant’s signature salad.

Mr Ruan admitted that he is jaded with his current situation but denies conspiring to poison customers.

POLICE CHARGE CHEF FOR CONSPIRING TO POISON PRESIDENT GONG.

Pingjing police have formally charged Ruan Díyī for conspiring to poison President Gong Chūrù as well as poisoning 12 customers at Po’s Restaurant.

Police searched the apartment of Mr Ruan and found a diary written by him and contained anti-government sentiments in his writings. Specifically, he expressed a desire to poison President Gong for being a traitor to his country.

So far, Mr Ruan has refused to speak during his interrogation and remained silent.

BLCTV News has ended a segement of political chat show Chat with Chiang after a fight between two politicians took place.

Host Chiang Lǜrì invited Li Āběn and Zhu Tǎjī to debate about the future of the New Years Day curfew. Li, who is a Conservative representing the Pingjing Council, objected to Zhu’s reason for lifting the ban. The debate became extremely with Li swinging a punch at the self-described socialist in the face.

Both men were separated by security and Chiang ended the segment with a commercial break.

LEFT WING ACTIVISTS CONDEMN ARREST OF LEFTIST POLITICIAN.

Left wing activists have strongly condemned the arrest of Zhu Tǎjī who was involved in an on-air brawl with Li Āběn.

Zhu was arrested by police in the early hours of yesterday morning for Saturday’s fisticuff incident.

But activists have pointed out that it was actually Li who threw the punches first and Zhu was shielding himself repeatedly and only shoved Li in defence. The group also claimed that Mr Li was not arrested.

The Pingjing police force were contacted for comment.

BANK NOTE SCAMMER FLEES FROM CONVENIENCE STORE.

A man in his mid 30s has fled a convenience store after attempting to use a fake BL$20.

The unidentified individual was wearing a white top and black jeans when he entered a 7 Star store in Pingjing and attempted to purchase a packet of cigarettes with a fake BL$20 bank note.

The staff scrutinised the note and following a lengthy quarrel, the man grabbed the counterfeit note and fled the scene…

Pingjing police are appealing to the public to find the offender who may have used fake bank notes in a dozen other stores.

Torn up pieces of fake BL$20 were found in the the major shopping street of Pingjing.

Members of the public found several pieces of the fake currency on Da Wu Street. The bank notes appear to be ripped up by hand based on their condition.

The Pingjing police force will examining CCTV footage filmed on Da Wu in hopes to find the scammer who attempted to buy a pack of cigarettes in a 7 Star store on that street.

The Pingjing police force has confirmed that they have visited the house of Li and gave him a warning for his on-air brawl but did not arrest him. Left wing activists have since accused the police force of bias and called for the Chief Constable to resign.

‘LI IS A MAN OF GOOD CHARACTER’, POLICE DEFENDS VERBAL WARNING DECISION TO POLITICIAN.

Pingjing police have strongly defended their decision not to arrest Conservative politician Li Āběn despite being the instigator of an on-air brawl with opponent Zhu Tǎjī.

Li was formally given a warning for starting the on-air fight but arrested left-wing opponent Zhu Tǎjī instead. Zhu was later released without charge.

Following days of condemnation of their handling of the incident, the Pingjing police force has defended their decision to give Li a warning. “[Li] is a person of good character. He has expressed regret for his animated response during a televised debate. An arrest is not necessary due to mitigating factors on his side” The Pingjing Police said in a written statement read by Depute Chief Constable Wò Zīní.

A New Wenzhou footballer has been found guilty of taking performance enchancing steroids for 5 years.

Zhang Chāngjiā, who plays as a fullback for the club, has admitted to taking the drugs for 5 years. FABL became suspicious of Zhang after a drugs test showed high amounts of anabolic steroids in his urine sample. The club suspended him in January last year.

FABL conducted a 9 month disciplinary hearing and found evidence of drug taking as well as Mr Zhang’s admission to the offenses. The panel has issued Mr Zhang a 3 year ban from competitive play,

President Gong was hosting a series of meet and greet events with an unusual twist. Members of the public are invited to jog alongside the leader and engage in small chats.

Despite the presence of security, an unidentified individual heckled President Gong during his meet and greet event in North Point, Pingjing. A tomato landed only inches from his right but the perpetrator fled the scene.

Pingjing police have confirmed that a man in his mid 20s has been arrested in connection with throwing a tomato at President Gong Chūrù.

Ai Wǎngshì, from Copperhead Hill, is suspected to be the individual who threw a rotten tomato at the President whilst jogging with members of the public in North Point.

Authorities can only detain Mr Ai for a week or release him without charging him of any crimes.

PRESIDENT GONG JOG AND GREET EVENT CANCELLED IN NEW JIANGMEN DUE TO SECURITY CONCERNS.

President Gong Chūrù will not hold a jog and greet event in New Jiangmen after two suspicious parcels were found in New Jiangmen central park.

The 2 parcels, located in the north eastern part of the park, were discovered by a member of the public at around 0900 yesterday morning.

The park was subsequently cordoned and a bomb squad was deployed to the area. The parcels were detonated and the park was re-opened to the public at the stoke of midnight today.
