Tai Chīwén attempted to sell a dozen rings made with the fake gold at Zhou’s Jewellery but vigilant staff prevented him from walking out of the premise of thousands of dollars.
Stealing jewellery with bogus versions as well as selling bogus jewellery has become a focus of concerns recently.

95% OPPOSE RIGHT TO DIVORCE.
95% of the public oppose a no fault divorce according to a survey conducted by EP Politics Magazine.
The magazine also claim of those 10,000 people surveyed, 90% also oppose divorce if the spouse is unfaithful towards them. When asked if divorce is acceptable in the event if a spouse is violent, only 49% favour divorce.
The survey was published whilst the World Assembly is proposing a resolution to repeal “The Right To Lawful Divorce”.

A man has been arrested for stealing two bottles of cognac from a Wei’s store in Pingjing.
Sun Wèishé tried to smuggle two bottles of cognac, valued at BL$200 each, out of the store. An eagle eyed security staff prevented him from taking the goods out of the premise
Police have also found two tyre irons on his person, suggesting he shoplifted these items too.

7 people have been arrested for smashing up a hardware store in Pingjing.
Reasons for the mini riot began when the owner Lai Kāngdé refused to give refunds for faulty goods to any of his customers which resulted in 7 individuals throwing items at Mr Lai who insulted them.
Despite the chaotic scenes, Mr Lai has only sustained minor bruises.

The annual Dragon Boat Race in Port To will be held for 10 days, an increase of the usual 7 days.
The expanded 10 day event will be held on 18th June instead of 21st due to increased demand for the most popular event in the summer.
President Gong Chūrù has confirmed he will attend the event in its opening day.

MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUM THEFT ATTEMPT.
A man has been arrested for attempting to steal a tanggu used for the Dragon Boat Festival at Port To.
He Jiānà attempted to take the tanggu to his van which was parked some 75 yards away from where it was placed. Mr He offered no resistance when he was caught at the early hours of Wednesday.
Organisers of the boat festival confirmed that a theft attempt of a spare tanggu was attempted and thanked police for catching the thief.

The organisers of the Dragon Boat Festival in Port To has announced that all event goers of the 2026 event will be barred from bringing in reusable water bottles.
The strict rules came one day after someone hid a rope inside the bottle to attempt to steal a tanggu by wrapping it with the concealed rope and dragging it to a nearby van. The tanggu is a spare and was located outside the main event making it susceptible to theft by determined thieves.
Organisers have re-assured event goers that Friday’s opening event will be dry.

A protester has been arrested for carrying a hand drill with intent to sabotage the dragon boat race.
Lu Léiluò carried the tool but was stopped by security who frisked him at the entrance. Mr Lu claimed to police that he intended to drill holes on the hulls of many of the boats with intent to disrupt the event. He has not stated a reason for his motives other than describing himself as a protester.
Despite the news being dominated by the sabotage attempt, President Gong Chūrù turned up to the event and delivered a 10 minute speech that brought excitement to the crowd. Afterwards, he shook hands with many of the event goers.

Team Gǔzhī captained by Lin Jiālì have been disqualified from the race after he and two others had carried erythropoietin in their sporting equipment. Lin were ordered to leave the premise immediately.
The substances are legal to use with restrictions but the organisers has made it clear that they will not tolerate drug usage.

Zhang Féngxī paid for merchandise using a fake BL$50 note. Mr Zhang then paid for a drink with a fake BL$5 note this time.

In this latest drama of the eventful Dragon Boat Festival in Port To, drummer Tang Rúnuò walked out on his Team Green Grass squad after his drumming style was reportedly a cause of disagreement. Chen Tiānhuǒ, part of Team Tang’s Fury was caught chucking the cooking oil on Team West Seven’s boat. A judge confronted Chen and immediately confessed that he wanted to disrupt the rhythm of their rivals.

Lin Gǎnpán, who runs Bookworm Store in the southern area of the capital, was selling a dozen copies of the political book which features quotations from the oppressive far-left strongman of 44 years.
Whilst being handcuffed and escorted to the police car, Mr Lin has defended his decision to stock copies of them, saying it is freedom of expression.

A Zibo councillor has been arrested for driving his car whilst inebriated.
Shi Tàiēn was pulled over by police in the early hours of this Wednesday. Police found 5 empty cans of beer in his car. A breathalyser test was conducted and was found to be over the limit.
Mr Shi has a history of past drunkenness including an incident last year where he was ejected from a bar for drinking too much and kicking a dukebox.
