BREAKING NEWS: Uranium Terrorist group extends deadline.

The terrorists who have held 600 villagers last Wednesday have agreed to extend their deadline to the forthcoming Wednesday. The decision is made by the leaders of the group after they felt the previous deadline proved to be impractical but they have continued to give stern warnings about the fate of the villagers if the Interm Administration does not comply with their demands which still remain the same. Despite making concessions, Kobayashi Taro insisted that he will not give in to any of the terrorist demands. Dannistrian General Duh’rahn N’outah has partly-agreed with Mr Kobayashi’s suggestion of bombing the entire village although he remains concerned about the fatalities of civilians. At the same day, the terrorist group dumped a second body in the Chiang Kai Shek district in Pyongjing.

BREAKING NEWS: Bodies dumped in Pyongjing believed to been gassed during the hostage siege.

The bodies which the terrorist group took 600 Li Mei Villagers last week were gassed during the siege rather than afterwards as the terrorist proposed their demands, the Interim Administrator confirmed. Kobayashi Taro commented that the rigor mortis has been set on the 2 bodies that were left in Pyongjing and the paleness of their skins. The terrorist group sent a pigeon messenger to the cabinet stating that they only want home grown uranium instead of using imported counterparts. In related news, the terrorist group have dumped a third body at a mall in Northern Pyongjing.

Man: Let me see the goodness, the creme de la creme, baby cakes…

Woman: No, it’s not quite the time to…

The man becomes defensive and points at the prostitute followed by a stern warning.

Man: You shut yer b^tch up! I want to see the goodness, the very finest. Unbutton those clothes now, b*tch or I’ll force you!

The prostitute flicks her cigarette at the man

Woman: F&ck you, I’ve think you’ve had a drink too many. What you really need is sleep and lots of it. At your current condition, I think it’s time to…

The man slaps her and forcibly unbuttons her clothes. She attempts to resist but the man slaps her again before injecting her with an unknown substance

Man: You like that s&it? That’s right, you be good, baby cakes! You do your bit for Mao…

He is seen thrusting forward and backwards.

Man: Resist me again and you’ll be on your knees at the palace next time. Duh’rahn wants a piece of you when you get yer s*** together. Get it? Now go get a taxi home and wipe that mess of your face.

Interim Administrator has responded aggressively to the footage by stridently denies committing such heinous crimes. He also re-assures his intentions not to give into the terrorist’s demands.

"The footage released by the Li Mei terrorists showing footage that claims to be me is unverified and totally false. Not are they are holding 600 innocent lives for the sake of obtaining radioactive materials, they are aiding and abetting a truly horrific crime by recording it and keeping it for their own purposes and in this case, to titillate the viewer. Their demands are simply incredulous, absurd and impractical to achieve within 1 month let alone 1 week.

Meanwhile, riots have broken out in the capital. Many protesters have taken refuge at the rooftops of shops as well as other business establishments. Police have attempted to quell the riots but many threw large, sharp objects at their direction and in one case, a rioter threw a hand grenade into riot police. Recently refurbished shops have also been the target of rioters as many stole from there and have taken refuge in these places. Chief Constable Eddie Chen confirmed 9,750 died today due to rioting and over $2.1 billion worth of damages.

BREAKING NEWS: Kobayashi Taro is suspended from Interim Admin job over rape video. Terrorist send package containing finger of Li Mei hostage.

Mr Kobayashi has been suspended by the cabinet after reaching to a conclusion that the rapist featured in the footage may actually be the Interim Administrator himself. The suspension of Kobayashi has been strongly defended by Dannistrian General Duh’rahn N’outah who has stated in a conference that Mr Kobayashi’s suspension is done for the cabinet’s as well as his own benefit. His role of Interim Administrator has been taken temporarily by Li An Ying. Police have detained him at a high security police station in Pyongjing where they can examine the footage more closely and question Mr Kobayashi. If found guilty of rape, then a snap election will follow.

The suspension of Mr Kobayashi’s suspension was met with huge roars of cheer from the public accompanied by anti-Japanese chanting. Many rioters have attempted to smash up the police station where Mr Kobayashi is being held but each attempt has been successfully been quelled by the police.

In related news, Free Bai Lung, the terrorist group who have held 600 Li Mei Villagers in Liu Xu Province have sent a package to Kobayashi Taro’s home of residence containing a severed middle finger of one of the 600 villagers. The finger was also wrapped in a note which contained a very chilling message warning Mr Kobayashi that his head will be served on a Bai Lungese made traditional platter waiting to be gorged by the blood thirsty anti-Japanese public. The group also confirmed that they have left two frozen bodies at a meat factory outside of the capital which were recovered shortly upon receiving the note.

Meanwhile, acting Interim Administrator Li An Ying is considering the possibility of offering money as an alternative to unlimited access to uranium despite Mr Kobayashi’s persistent reiteration not to negotiate with the terrorists at all nor offer alternatives such as money. Mr Li has stated in a speech that offering them hard cash will make the terrorist offer some concessions of their own.

Man admits involvement in spaghetti incident.

The man who claims to be responsible for the shooting of 17 people, including 3 ISB officers, at a spaghetti restaurant in Sing Ren in 2001 has been named as Saul Gong Duk. The 33 year old claimed that the shooting was a political motivation intended to provoke the then leader Chen Chong Sun to change his political ideology drastically. Since the shooting, he spent the next 6 years hiding underground never to see daylight. When police asked about his political allegiance, he admitted that he was a longtime admirer of former Nationalist leader Chan Bai and prayed for a government to be ran by him. Mr Gong will be held for further questioning before police can make a definitive decision.

Wu Lai Chai wins Tower Running marathon.

Wu Lai Chai has beaten 200 other contestants by winning the annual Tower Running Marathon for the 3rd consecutive time held at Bai Lung’s tallest building, Zhong Guo (Jung Guk) 77. Mr Wu, 36, ascended and descended 77 floors containing 1,958 steps 30 times each in 8 hours 11 minutes and 3 seconds beating his previous record by 17 seconds. It remains the closest Tower Running Marathon to date as fellow contestant Carl Tu’va’lah came second in the marathon with a time difference of 0.1 seconds. The women’s race was won by Dannistrian runner Nikki Du’qui by a time of 8 hours 11 minutes 3.6 seconds. Mr Wu and Ms Du’qui have won $300,000 for achieving the marathon in less than 8.25 hours.

Rules set by the Tower Running Committee of Bai Lung states that the contestant must ascend/descend each individual step and skipping steps is regarding as cheating. The Committee plans to make the next annual marathon more challenging such as shortening the threshold to win $300,000 to 8 hours or less.

BREAKING NEWS: Terrorist group extend deadline for 2nd time and adds 3rd item to their list of demands.

The terrorist group holding 600 Li Mei villagers, Free Bai Lung, has extended the deadline for the 2nd time this week to the forthcoming Friday. However, the terrorists have also demanded BL$5 billion in cash to be presented in BL$20 note and delivered an aluminum box. It is the latest demand proposed by the group after making demands by insisting on the withdrawal of all food supplies from Kelssek and unlimited access to home grown uranium. The reason for the changes was explained through a note which was delivered by a pigeon messenger. The message also taunted the cabinet by mentioning the suspension of Kobayashi Taro and they have “chosen to exploit the political turmoil”. In a closing statement, they called the cabinet “extremely gullible and wannabe charlatans”.

Acting Interim Adminstrator Li An Ying has expressed concern over the hostage situation and will be holding talks with the leaders about the handling of the villagers and the lack of food and clean drinking water in Li Mei. The leaders have stated that the villagers must “live in their own pig s*** even if it means eating it for their own sustenance”.

In related news, the group have dumped the body of a policeman on a car’s rooftop at a car park in Port To. The body is accompanied with a message reading: “DON’T SEND ANY OF YOUR BOYS OR WE GAS 600 LIVES!”. It is unknown whether the policeman was one of the victims in Li Mei or was passing by the village at one point. Like with the 5 previous bodies dumped by Free Bai Lung, the officer’s corpse shows no clear signs of bullet entry/exit wounds nor strangulation marks to the neck.

Terrorist group leaders believed to be high ranking officers from ISB.

Free Bai Lung is believed to be run be run by a mixture of high ranking ISB officers and generals from the former Stalinist government, the cabinet published a report today. The assumption came from a close examination of Li Mei conducted by the Dannistrian army. The group’s competent ability to set up a strong defense base has helped determine the type of group they are dealing with although the soldiers are believed to be opportunistic thugs with severely limited weapons training. Li Mei is currently surrounded by razor fencing, cctv cameras motion sensors and a 250 strong soldiers.

Terrorist group sends individual body parts of 7th victim to Pyongjing Presidential Palace and release footage of Li An Ying cross dressing.

Free Bai Lung, the terrorist group who are currently holding 600 Li Mei villagers hostage have sent 7 blood soaked parcels to the Presidential Palace in Pyongjiing, each containing a severed part of one of the hostages. Forensics have spent 2 hours determining if the severed body parts came from the same person and shortly afterwards, they have identified the body as a 7 year old resident of Li Mei. Notably, the 7 year olds right hand is missing his middle finger which is likely to the same finger sent to the palace on Tuesday. Since the mysterious dumping of 7 bodies, the public have speculated whether the terrorist’s motivates may have links to the 7 deadly sins, although such claims are shunned by police.

"The seven grisly and brutal deaths caused by Free Bai Lung is merely a timely coincidence and has no particular links to the well known Catholic Doctrines. The group could send more dead bodies as we speak. Our main priority right now is to find and arrest the delivery man who conducts dumping the bodies in the country as we believe that he might be the one who will give us the crucial steps to diffuse the hostage situation at Li Mei.

At the same time, the group have released a short footage showing a man resembling acting Interim Administrator Li An Ying wearing a wig and a woman’s dress. The footage also implies that he is preparing to have sex with his client before the clip blacks out. The footage is followed by images of the Li Mei villagers in an emaciated condition but alive despite the harrowing conditions imposed by the group. The deadline has passed but there is no word from the group stating whether they have gassed everyone or have escaped from the vicinities.

Worker of Jin Men enterprises arrested after holding Wang Jia Rong hostage.

An employee has been arrested for taking Jin Men boss Wang Jia Rong hostage in a 40 hour stand off with the police at Jin Men HQ, Pyongjing. The disgruntled worker, Chen Cheng Lung, threatened to kill Mr Wang by shoving him off the rooftop unless Mr Wang reconsiders his decision over his decision to cut 2,000 jobs due to a loss of $600 million in the current fiscal year. The 40 hour tense stand off came to an end as Dannistrian snipers shot him in the legs, incapacitating him and allowing police to take the 66 year old founder to safety. Dannistrian General Duh’rahn N’outah congratulated those involved in the situation and has reiterated that taking people hostage and using them for a bargaining chip will not be tolerated like what is happening at the village of Li Mei.

BREAKING NEWS: Hostage situation at Li Mei comes to a close.

http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/5263/raid1510lj5.jpg
Free Bai Lung, the terrorist organisation who took 600 Li Mei residents three weeks ago has been brought to an end when the Dannistrian army has conducted a raid on the village, a Dannistrian army spokesperson has confirmed. Aside from the 7 deaths of the villagers, whose bodies were found in parts of the country, there has been no reports of any further civilian fatalities following the raid. Dannistrian General Duh’rahn N’outah has praised the army for their efficient and prompt response to a hostage situation, re-iterating suspended Interim Administrator Mr Kobayashi’s firm stance by refusing to comply with the terrorist’s demands. He also confirmed that all but 1 of the 6 leaders of the terrorist group have been killed in the raid, with the sole survivor still at large. He has warned all citizens to remain extremely vigilant and not to approach the general at all as he maybe armed. The raid merely lasted 30 minutes with only 9 soldiers who have lost their lives.

In related news, footage showing a man believed to be acting Interim Administrator Li An Ying cross dressing has been dismissed by the cabinet due to lack of evidence to support the claims. The cabinet are considering re-examining previously released footage by the terrorists, in particular a rape footage involving Kobayashi Taro.

BREAKING NEWS: Car bomb kills 3 at parade in Qing Qing. Acting Interim Admin Li An Ying unhurt.

http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/9031/carbomb2210am6.jpg
A car bomb has exploded in the city centre of Qing Qing on Tuesday evening, killing three civilians. The bomber’s target was acting Interim Administrator Li An Ying who was at the city delivering a speech promising to restore full democracy to the public as well as law and order. Mr Li was not at the scene when the explosion happened although he held the speech some 0.7 km north of the city. When asked to comment about the explosion, he simply replied: “It’s another wave of copy cat attacks intended to paralyse the country and to destabilise our democratic process. The bombers have committed an extremely heinous act.”

After the attack, BLCTV News received a statement from Free Bai Lung, the same terrorist group who took 600 villagers at Li Mei almost 1 month ago, claimed responsibility for the attempted assassination and had warned the administration of future kidnappings and bombings. Free Bai Lung closed the letter by taunting the cabinet: “No.1 is in our haven contemplating our next move and laughing at your debauchery egotists like Li An Ying and Kobayashi Taro”. No.1 is one of the 6 generals who escaped from the successful Li Mei raid conducted by Dannistrian troops last week and has not been seen since.

Despite warnings of reprisal attacks by the group, Mr Li will conclude his tour of the city tomorrow by cutting a suckling pig prepared by students of the Qing Qing College of Culinary to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the college’s opening.

Crime expert explains significance of seven bodies dumped in Bai Lung.

A crime expert has released a detailed theory of the seven bodies which were scattered throughout the country. The detailed report, which can be found in the News’ website, gives a detailed account about the possible significance of the 7 bodies and the possible links to the 7 deadly sins as well as identifying the names of the bodies. After vigorously researching each victim, Lin Rong Dong explained to BLCTV News which deadly sin corresponded to what body.

The 1st body is identified as Kim Shui Bao (29), who was dumped right outside the Presidential Palace in Pyongjing: “…Mr Kim’s persona is lust. Why? He’s a convicted sex criminal who had sex with any woman he could find. He went as far as to obtain date rape drugs, plant them into the victims drink and rape them to his liking. Men also fell victim to him as well. During childhood, he had an obsession to look through his sisters room while she is changing and he would pleasure himself.”

The 2nd body is identified as Liu Xiao Fang (35). He was dumped at a highway in Chiang Kai Shek province: “…Liu is a taxi driver who works in Pyongjing. He lives in the village of Li Mei with the rest of his family. Taxi drivers are reputed to be pumped full of anger and this man is absolutely no exception to the rule. He may well be the stereotypical caricature of the angry. pumped full of rage kind of fella. Many call him Mr Wrath and his attribute fit well into this deadly sin. He once deliberately crashed his cab into another car and threatened to knocked the living daylights out of the other driver for damaging his cab.”

The 3rd body is identified as Liang Chong Na (69). She was dumped at the children’s creche at a Pyongjing Shopping Mall: “…the old spinster never gave her savings too anyone, especially members of her family. There is nothing much to say about her other than her elusive persona. Ms Liang will be greed in my books…”

The 4th and 5th bodies, which were found at a meat factory in West Pyongjing were named as Chen Quan (55) and Chen Hye-Seong (50): “…straight after their marriage, the Chen couple did not get along with each other since. Hye-Seong represented envy because she often accused his husband, Quan, of seeing another woman hence why she represents envy. Ah Quan represented pride because according to his parents, he always believed that customs came first before woman’s rights and equality, no matter how hard Hye-Seong begs him. Ah Quan always believed he himself is the most important existing life-form before anyone else and hence why his personality fits the deadly sin of pride so well…”

The 6th body is identified as Constable Wu Yin (47). His body was found just outside Li Mei: “…the officer had an infamous reputation for being extremely late. His bosses frequently pass scathing comments to their colleagues about how Wu arrives at work late by a whopping 2 hours. He was known to be a manic depressive and his colleagues take notice at his expression, which is almost consists of sadness. Mr Wu is sloth…”

The 7th body is identified as Yang Bao Ae (7), the youngest victim who died. Unlike the previous victims, his body was not dumped as a whole. His severed parts were delivered to the Presidential Palace in Pyongjing. “…I spoke to the parents of the young lad. He was sent to the village because his parents are on a 6am-1am job meaning they implore their relatives to look after him and he stays at his aunt and uncle to perform farm-work and other manual labour. His parents describe him as a loving boy who had an over desire for food. During one night where the family were having diner at Li Mei, it took him barely half a minute to finish his hor d’œuvre and his main meal. Gluttony would be his sin…”

Reaction to the theory has been mixed. Some welcomed the possible fascinating parallels to the 7 deadly sins perpetuated by the terrorist group Free Bai Lung while others, particularly skeptics and atheists, dismissed the theory as “absurd” and “a mere coincidence”. According to Miss Lin, she received 30 death threats for writing possible links between the dead bodies and the 7 deadly sins.

In related news, NBLPF have found a large trail of blood just outside of Li Mei. The blood is most likely to be that of the sole leader of Free Bai Lung. Sniffer dogs have lead the clues to a nearby village named Bai Chai Hung. Further evidence shows the blood continues it’s way into a house belonging to the villager’s doctor where the blood trail ends. Chief Constable Yi Lung has warned the public not to speak to him and should reported his whereabouts to the nearest authority.

"We are one step ahead of bagging this man. The sole survivor of the atrocious group must be found ASAP to prevent any further chaos and damage to the Bai Lungese public…

Youth arrested for murdering F’oraf shop keeper after deliberately setting off an industrial firework.

http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/1516/44209830fireworksman203fi3.jpg
A youth has been arrested by police for murdering a Dannistrian shopkeeper after deliberately setting off an industrial firework some 20 hours ago. The young man, who will not be named for legal reasons, wore a skeleton mask and a cloak, entered a local corner shop in Amadeus Road in F’ah’nar, Greater F’oraf, carrying the firework last night.

CCTV footage shows him dropping it on the floor and left before the firework went off, releasing scores of rockets. Shopkeeper Donnie Am’iinaas kicked it into the porch but was greeted by the culprit outside who brandished a pistol and shot Mr Am’inaas 10 times, 5 in the head and 5 in the chest. The youth re-entered the store where he helped himself to the cash register as well as taking a few packets of cigarettes and a six pack of beer.

Police said two other occupants, the shopkeeper’s cousins, who were in the flat above the shop where taken to hospital as a precaution. Officers and firefighters were called to the scene just after 2200 and the firework was doused to make it safe.

The pistol used to murder Mr Am’inaas is a Smith & Wesson 4006, police have confirmed. Inspector Carrie Kato, said of the incident:

This is a very sick prank which descended into a callous murder in which the perpetrator used it to his advantage to take rob the premises. Such tragic incidents should not be repeated in the foreseeable future.

In related news, there has been 276 indoor-related firework pranks were reported during this years halloween in F’oraf alone. Despite the high number, this is slight drop from last year where 291 incidents of such were recorded. The number of indoor-related fire work pranks peaked in 2003 where 385 incidents occurred in halloween.

Pressure mounts on Acting Interim Admin over Interim Admin election and restoring Bai Lung to full democracy.

http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/728/ballot0311ij1.jpg
Pressure is already mounting on acting Interim Administrator Li An Ying over a decision whether to hold a snap election sooner rather than later after Kobayashi Taro was arrested less than 2 months ago. In a short speech in Choi, the 57 year old has confirmed that he will hold the election on 22nd November consisting of two rounds as per the previous election.

— Begin quote from ____

"The people of Bai Lung can cast their votes on the 22nd of November. No later than the specified date and no earlier.

— End quote

Reactions to the date have been polarised. In particular, Li An Ying’s strongest critics have dismissed the deadline as “too late” and “dithering about over simple requests”. One of Mr Li’s most outspoken critics, Kim Jhoo Hua, referred to the deadline as “an excuse to subvert the long awaited liberties of Bai Lung by making the people linger in middle of nowhere while [Bai Lungese] bureaucracy delivers the fatal blow to the people’s votes.”

In addition to Li An Ying, 3 other candidates intend to stand for election in the hotly contested position. The candidates are:

Li An Ying (57): Part Thai, part Bai Lungese acting incumbent. In addition to being a politician, he is also a business man and works as a spokesman for Anthony S’uu, an East Dannistrian multinational conglomerate manufacturing company.

Ling Wei (63): A former aid worker from the North Pacific. Plans to re-structure the police force and introduce socialised medicine.

Chiba Seto (or Seto Chiba) (61): Part Japanese, part Bai Lungese candidate. Was an English lecturer in Nordu Dannistra University until he recently retired. Plans to re-model Bai Lungese customs and law.

Richard Im Jia Dan (49): Former collaborator of controversial film maker Marcel Chen. Has helped Chen with financing his first 5 films. Wants to increase annual budget to allow more “creativity” in the entertainment industry.

http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/8328/protest0311ap3.jpg
In related news, nationwide protests have brung the country to a complete stop when millions of people protested for democracy and called on the Interim Administration and Dannistrian General Duh’rahn N’outah to re-unify the country as a whole, since the fall of the Nationalist government. Protesters included detractors of the Interim Administration who charge that the cabinet is doing very little to re-unify the northern and southern parts of Bai Lung as they are controlled by Free Pacific States and Dovakhan respectively. So far, Li An Ying (the de jure Interim Administrator of Bai Lung) failed to address these issues, resulting in a wave of criticisms.

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/3843/peaceriot0311nb5.jpg
Despite strenuous efforts to maintain harmony within the protests at Pyongjing, riots have broken out at the capital. The riot was allegedly started when a protester disagreed with another protester over the exact number of child workers in sock factories. Other sources claim that the riot was started because one of the protesters announced that Chiba Seto will be one of the 4 candidates for the upcoming Interim Admin elections. This is not the first time in which a part Japanese candidate has provoked a mass furor. In June this year, Yao Ma’s candidacy caused controversy due to his distant Japanese roots (his great-great grandmother is Japanese) and in August, there was nationwide rioting over the candidacy of Kobayashi Taro who was hugely unpopular due to his Japanese ancestry.

To date, 69 people have died in the riots. General N’outah has enforced curfew (of an unspecified duration) in the capital as a precaution.

Copy cat firework prank turned murders continues to shock F’oraf residents. Bai Lungese community urges Chief Inspector to withdraw comments and resign or face forced resignation.

Following the murder of a F’oraf shopkeeper due to a dangerous firework prank committed by a youth who shot him, the dangerous prank has now been copied on 11 separate occasions over a period of 3 days. The neologism known as “Fizz N’ Bang” involves the perpetrator leaving a lit industrial style firework in a corner shop (usually indoors), allowing it to go off. The victim of the prank would be provoked to remove the firework, usually outside. The perpetrator would murder the victim when he/she is outside.

According to East Dannistrian police, 8 out the 11 copycat incidents involved a firearm. In addition, 5 copycat culprits have been arrested by police. Chief Inspector Carrie Kato praised the police force for their quick and efficient response to a crime scene while at the same time, further condemned the copycat attacks:

— Begin quote from ____

"Dealing with one horrific incident involving a dangerous prank turned brutal murder is totally unacceptable and irremediable act but to deal with 11 similar cases is unthinkable. This atrocity must come to a complete halt with immediate effect. I have re-iteriated several times [in conferences] that anyone who copies such heinous act will be subjected to severe punishment irrespective of their rights.

— End quote

In related news, several members of the Bai Lungese community have criticised the Chief Inspector for pigeonholing their community. The comment came after the East Dannistrian Police identified the killer of shopkeeper Mr Donnie Am’iinaas during Halloween as a Bai Lungese teenager, who will not be named for legal reasons.

Chief inspector Kato referred to the Bai Lungese community as an “…uncivilised, barbaric collective of tangential murderous miscreants which not even a gas chamber would deter them.”

Many ethnic Bai Lungese living in Dannistaan are calling for Ms Kato to withdraw her allegedly racist comments (though she denies making the comments) and a formal resignation. Some Bai Lungese have vowed to interfere with police activity until Ms Kato resigns.

BREAKING NEWS: Sixth leader of Free Bai Lung group found dead.

http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/6347/juntagen0611wl3.jpg
The sixth leader of the terrorist group Free Bai Lung has been found dead. The Dannistrian army and the NBLPF have confirmed that the body of the sole surviving ring leader of the group responsible for holding 600 Li Mei villagers 2 months ago was found in a nearby suburb just 5 miles east of New Shenzhen and has not been seen since the hostage siege ended over 3 weeks ago. Police have cordoned off the area where they pulled the body out from a disused sewer pipe. Forensics have arrived shortly to confirm the identity of the man and determine his cause of death.

5 hours later, the man was identified as Ryu Ho Bian (Pictured above), a 55 year old man who was a lifelong Chenite and rose through the ranks of Lieutenant General. Like with many generals of the Chenite era, there is very little known information about his personal life other than his place of birth being Chen Tai Soon. He is particularly notorious for his gruff voice, lacking humour, his impeccable firing skills and physically imposing appearance. With a seemingly unstoppable, efficient and ruthless persona, he quickly gained notice from late Chenite leader Chen Jong Sun and became one of the most important ISB officers during the regime.

According to an official statement from NBLPF, Mr Ryu’s death occured as a result of infection possibly gangrene. Graphic images show bullet wounds on Mr Ryu’s both ears, neck and right hip as well as missing an index finger on his right hand. Chief Constable Terrence Chou further commented on how the 55 year old wounds were stitched up hastily. Police also confirmed that Mr Ryu, with the help of a doctor, stitched his wounds in a nearby village (named Bai Chai Hung) before continuing his journey. In their closing statement, NBLPF have asserted that Mr Ryu is responsible for the deaths of 3 soldiers: Corporal Yamamoto Chiyo, Private Suzuki Chihiro and Private Sato Rinko.

Reaction to the founding of Ryu Ho Bian has been positive. Although Dannistrian General Duh’rahn N’outah has expressed his gratitude to both the NBLPF and the Dannistrian for their collaborative effort, he lamented that both teams acted very slowly.

Environment Secretary resigns over firework comment.

The Environment Secretary has officially resigned over a comment made on Sunday afternoon claiming that fireworks are extremely safe to use and should allow people of all ages to gain access to them. Roh Zhong Huo’s comments came under fire by parents and the cabinet itself calling him an irresponsible and a poor role model. Since giving the controversial remarks, many have demanded him to withdraw the comments and downplay it’s safeness. Since the fall of the Stalinist and Nationalist government, fireworks became easy to obtain.

BLCTV asked about whether the comments are merely a gaffe. He simply replied:

— Begin quote from ____

It is not my nature to refrain. It is my nature to give an honest view of the flawed infrastructure of Bai Lung. I will not permit my repressed feelings to be stifled or compromised in any way. I stand by my comments regardless of the public’s views…

— End quote

Some sources mistakingly reported that Chief Inspector Carrie Kato of the East Dannistrian Police Force had resigned over a comment reminiscent to those of Mr Roh’s.

BREAKING NEWS: Dovakhanese Referendum fails to give conclusive result.

http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/728/ballot0311ij1.jpg
A referendum proposed by the Dovakhanese Governor which allows members of the public to decide whether Dovakhanese rule of Southern Bai Lung should continue has failed to pass through. Political commentators have long predicted that a Dovakhanese occupied Bai Lung would result in polarised reactions such as the recent mass migration to other parts of Bai Lung and the constant rioting which have impeded the Dovakhanese’s ability from passing laws. Commentators also mentioned that any referendums proposed by the Dovakhanese would also be extremely unpopular anyways. Results of the referendum saw less than half of eligible voters turnout (49.59%), falling far short of the 60% turnout required to enact further laws. Those favouring Dovakhanese rule are very closely tailed by the opposing camp with a percentage of 49.81% and 49.79% respectively. Nearly 1/4 million of papers have been spoiled.

The referendum’s overwhelming defeat is likely to have been caused by several factors. In addition to the unpopular nature of Dovakhanese rule, a lack of polling stations in the most remote areas of the country and opposing political activists urging and even intimidating members of the public not to vote are cited as factors. Whatever the reason, the Governor of South Bai Lung, Jân Dêmër, was hugely disappointed with the results and has yet to make an official statement in the wake of the failed referendum. In addition, there has been some speculation that a second attempt will be held next month or Mr Dêmër may not bother re-holding the referendum and possibly resign as Governor.

The result as follows:

In related news, a man has been arrested by police after vandalising a ballot box at a Public Library in the city centre of Port Mao, South Bai Lung. The perpetrator, Lin Xiao Sik (33), was seen smashing a ballot box with a golf club before police has taken him away from the polling station where he was charged with breach of the peace. Aside from mild shock, there were no reports of injuries. Mr Lin will be summoned to the court on 2nd December.

Taser death in Kelssek Airport is confirmed as Bai Lungese; communities around the EP protest against death.

A video showing the death of newly arrived immigrant at Kelssek’s Burnaby International Airport from a police taser on Friday, has been identified as Chen Byung-Su, a Bai Lungese industrial engineering technician from Pyongjing. Mr Chen, who was 35, arrived at Burnaby International Airport confused and disorientated where he was seen hanging around the baggage reclaim area for several hours not before Airport security and police confronted the man.

According to some eyewitnesses, the man was speaking in a mixture of Mandarin Chinese and Korean. Some eyewitness accounts also reported that Mr Chen was holding a black object resembling a pen knife as he raised his hands in the air before he was zapped twice with a taser. Upon closer inspection, the black object is actually a fountain pen. Mr Chen shortly died of cardiac arrest.

On the other hand, KBC News simply reported that the incident was unprovoked and did not make any mention of the pen. They did however, claim that Mr Chen was waiting in the baggage reclaim section for several hours because he was mistakenly waiting to meet his mother but she did not show up at the airport.

Mr Chen, who had not flown before, had flown a plane a day earlier in Dannistaan, and had arranged to meet his mother at the baggage reclaims in the international airport. Mr Chen’s family lawyer, Avery Liang, said them nor Mr Chen were not aware that the baggage reclaim section was inside a secure area.

In the wake of Mr Chen’s death, Bai Lungese communities around the EP have expressed their anger towards the Kelssekian government for their role in Friday’s incident, with the largest numbers of protesters found in the East Dannistrian city of F’oraf. Many protesters have accused the Kelssekian Police Force of racial profiling on the basis that Mr Chen did not speak English at all, although they stridently deny this claim. Some protesters are also calling for the deportation of all Kelssekian aid workers in Bai Lung as well as boycott and withdrawal of all food supplies. Mr Chen’s mother, Huang Yoon-jin (69), has criticised the government for their heavy handed approach and she has called for the resignation of all senior politicians including Kelssek PM Alan Kerk and Internal Affair Minister Joseph Tindall. She is also considering suing the government and wants the police involved in her son’s death be held accountable for their actions.

Acting Interim Administrator Li An Ying was also aghast at the death of Chen Byung-Su and condemned the police officers involved while at the same time, he also praised PM Alan Kerk for his intentions to launch a full inquiry into the death of Mr Chen. Mr Li also expressed sharp criticism towards Bai Lungese protesters by referring to them as a “group of self-righteous hypocrites”:

— Begin quote from ____

"The overseas Bai Lungese protesting against the death of one of their own has proven to be a contradicting cause. Those where the same group who wanted to keep the supplies from Kelssek for their own sustenance. This came around the time when the country was at it’s knees when the Stalinist and Nationalist force collapsed along with a series of extreme weather and many are very desperate. Our kind neighbours were more than happy to give us the adequate supplies to keep a family of 5 going for 6 months. Then our country went through another series of nightmares namely a terrorist group known as Free Bai Lung took over a rural village 2 months ago and have implored to us that all food supplies from that country are to be withdrawn ASAP. Why bite the hand that feed you? The protesters are simply hypocrites who only wish to inflate their egos and increase their publicity.

— End quote

Despite mounting pressure on Joseph Tindall to resign, he has no intentions to quit the top job.

BREAKING NEWS: 10 people die in mine disaster.

http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/9126/coalminebl2111tl5.jpg
A methane explosion has killed 10 miners and leaves 20 missing in the latest mine disaster in Chen Tai Soon, Tien Shan Province. The explosion was located more than 2 kilometres below ground. At the time of the explosion, 200 miners were in the complex. This is the 7th time in 5 months were a mine disaster has happened in the city. As a result of the incident, acting interim admin Li An Ying has promised to give a total of BL$300,000 in compensation to the families of the killed miners. Despite the risky business of coal mining, the Cho An Jang mine is one of Bai Lung’s largest mines, employing 700,000 people and producing up to 700,000 tonnes of coal each day.

Following the disaster of the Cho An Jang mine in Chen Tai Soon, Li An Ying and his cabinet are strongly considering whether to enact more stringent health and safety laws and fine the bosses for failing to comply with the proposed stricter criteria. A rescue team has arrived in Chen Tai Soon to rescue the missing miners still trapped in the 1800m deep mines and to date, none of the missing have been found.

Marcel Chen arrested in East Dannistaan for promotion stunt and racial slur.

http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/1872/theatre2111tv4.jpg
Controversial Dannistrian born Bai Lungese film maker Marcel Chen has been arrested in F’oraf, East Dannistaan yesterday for a publicity stunt at the Wilson movie theatre where he was promoting the nation wide release of his Dannistrian civil war double bills. The public started complaining to police about the 44 year old throwing small sized metallic objects at the streets, though it was later revealed to be coins with the logo of Marcel Chen’s Dannistrian civil war films engraved into it.

Police were called into the scene where they ordered promoters to refrain from the activity. Though most complied to their orders, it was widely reported Marcel Chen did not comply to their orders and continued the publicity stunt by throwing coins at the police’s directions. One of the coins which Marcel Chen threw in the air unintentionally injured Sergeant Jo’sah’raas Eh’cou when the coin bounced into his eyes, causing a small cut. The situation was finally diffused when police were forced to confronted Mr Chen at the theatre’s roof top were the Blood Paw director violently struggled to resist arrest. He was also reported to have screamed out a string of racial epithets at the police: “Why don’t you dumb fing black chappies learn to f off and accept my truly unique promotions!!! YOU DOLTISH, SHORT FUSED CHAPPIES!!! CHAPPIES!!! CHAPPIES!!! You piece of burning charcoals all act on the same general principles…”

Shortly after Marcel Chen’s arrest, the Wilson theatre had to be closed down early for the day as police conduct a thorough search in the 10 story building for potentially dangerous objects such as the promotion coins. Due to strict laws in the state, Mr Chen will not be released on bail and will be detained until Chen will be summoned before a judge. If found guilty, Chen could face at least 14 years in jail for assault and racial aggravation.

The controversy behind the persona of Marcel Chen is not his first time and there has been extensive media coverage in regards to his eccentric behaviour. Back in August this year, Mr Chen was arrested by police after he assaulted East Dannistrian critic D’aarl Johnston who heckled him there at an after screening party in Nordu Dannistraa City. In March this year, he was deported from Kelssek for head-butting a patron at a bar in Neorvins after he drew sharp criticisms towards Chen’s Blood Paw.

BREAKING NEWS: Controversial memorial hall in Pyongjing has been re-named.

http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/5261/removecharacter0912ow9.jpg
After 5 months of talks at the Presidential Office Building (formerly known as the Presidential Palace), Bai Lungese officials set to work removing human sized Chinese and Korean characters from a memorial to Chen Jong Sun. Protesters and supporters have been cheering and jeering at the workers as they remove the characters bolt by bolt. The movement comes after a two week standoff in central Pyongjing that saw protesters clashing with each other and with police. Just days prior to the renaming process, a 39 year old man has been arrested for injuring 12 people including a journalist at the Memorial hall by using his pick up truck to run over a crowd of both camps.

Virtually every place in Bai Lung has streets named after the late strongman ruler but the present government and International occupiers have embarked on a campaign to erase his ever-present image, including re-naming Chen Jong Sun International Airport and removing his statues and posters from public places. The Interim Admin Cabinet has sent workers on Sunday to remove words that crowned a main gate to the controversial memorial hall, a structure which has built in June 1967, the 5th anniversary of the Chenite Coup. The memorial was believed to been built in response to Chen Jong Sun’s stance that he remains the sole leader of Bai Lung indefinitely and anyone who conducts a coup against him will be severely punished.

Pictured above and below shows the removal of “Zheng” which forms the Chinese characters of the late dictator’s name. One worker admitted that the real challenge is the removal of the Korean characters, which each Korean character comprises of separate parts.

— Begin quote from ____

"It’s quite a struggle to remove the Chinese characters but the Korean counterparts will pose a serious challenge to us and it will be more time consuming. The Chinese characters comes as a whole but the Korean ones consist of bits and pieces that form one character. We must remove them really carefully and precisely or parts of the characters will fall off and kill someone and damage valuable equipment. There is a very thin line for minute mistakes…

-Mr Yang

— End quote

http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/447/removecharacterii0912ru7.jpg
By 5.21 PM and 18 consecutive hours to separate the 11 characters (reading Leader Chen Jong Sun), both set of characters were removed and laid on the lawn were they will be taken to a nearby industrial factory to be melted. At the behest of the interim government, workers at the site have also hastily filled concrete at the engraved areas (Pictured above). According to Li An Ying’s Cabinet, the words Liberty Square consisting of 8 characters will take the place of the original inscriptions.

The highly controversial Chen Jong Sun Memorial has also been officially re-named as the National Bai Lung Democracy Memorial Hall, the spokesman of acting Interim Admin Li An Ying has confirmed. The move comes after the Interim Cabinet unanimously agreed in what is a closing chapter to the country’s repressive nature. The Home Secretary spokesman, Chiang Dae Wen, also pointed out the name of Chen could provoke painful memories of the late dictator’s regime.

— Begin quote from ____

“It was a very wise decision for Mr Li to remove a name strongly associated with repression, censorship, famine and hatred. Bai Lung is no longer in the shadow of Chen Jong Sun’s martial law era any more and hence changing the words to Liberty Square will be the most appropriate option for all of Bai Lungese society. It took us 5 solid months to get this process pushed forward and it was an astounding success.”

-Chiang Dae Wen, Home Secretary Spokesman

— End quote

The renaming of the memorial and the inscription change of the front gate of the hall has sparked a polarised reaction amongst the general public. Supporters of Chen Jong Sun have clashed with opponents who charge that it is unethical to pay tribute to a callous and malevolent leader. More than 5,000 police officers were dispatched to maintain order. The Dannistrian army has also provided their support by offering protection to the contracted workers as they cordoned off the area in a 200 yard radius, preventing protesters from attacking the workers.

After over a decade of ruling by the Nationalist Junta during the 50’s and early 60’s, Chen Jong Sun came to power in a Bloody Coup in 1962. Chen would keep an iron grip on the island for the next 4 decades right up to his death, and the Communist Party continued to rule in the following year when the Nationalist installed a junta in the country and has threatened various countries most notably Dannistaan.

The new inscription is to be installed on the main arch tomorrow were the characters will be slightly smaller of those taken down in order to allow more words to be fitted on the archway. The NBLPF will cordon the area by an additional 50 yards

Man wrongly identified as deceased immigrant at Kelssek airport, sues BLCTV News.

The man who was wrongly identified as the deceased newly arrived immigrant at Kelssek’s Burnaby International Airport will sue BLCTV News for their role in making allegedly defamatory statements made against him. Anthony Chen Byung-Su, who migrated to Kelssek at the age of 17 and became a naturalised Kelssekian citizen since 1985, was aghast when his name was shown on BLCTV News who had reported him as deceased after Kelssek’s National Mounted Police Officer stun the man with tasers. The man who died at the scene is correctly identified as Zé Ku Shi*, who arrived in Kelssek to met his mother but was disoriented after spending more than 10 hours in the baggage reclaims area.

The 42 year old was also offended by the claims that he did not speak any English. The trilingual speaking restaurant owner has critically lambasted the media in general for pigeon holing his people as “non-adaptable” and “uncivilised species” who don’t speak any English and threatens to use violence against those who don’t adopt their language:

— Begin quote from ____

"…the media’s [BLCTV News] report of my death is not only an inexcusable error, but vehemently defamatory by my books. This one simple mistake of my name has lead to a media chain reaction consisting of several unsubstantiated rumours in particular, “I thought you were dead” replies. Sure, there are a lot people with a nearly identical name to mine but they [BLCTV News] acted on merely intuition and it is their reluctance to issue their most profound apology to me is the reason why I’m bringing legal action against them.

— End quote

Mr Chen also accused BLCTV News for not apologising to him for their mistakes, although CEO Guan Dae Gu has stridently denied these charges, claiming he did issue an apology to Mr Chen for their wrongdoing. If Mr Chen wins the case against BLCTV News, he could receive up to BL$10-25 million in compensation.

In related news, the spokesman of controversial Dannistrian born director Marcel Chen may sue BLCTV News for what he claims to be “overtly extensive and defamatory media coverage of a normal everyday man”. Mr Anderson Kim threatened legal action if BLCTV News does not refrain from making consistent coverage on the Blood Paw director.

Cyclone Kim does not hit Bai Lungese shores.

The Bai Lung Weather Office has been sharply criticised by the Interim Admin Cabinet for their false reporting on Cyclone Kim’s path of course. The Cyclone, which was supposed to hit the southern region of the country and make a u-turn. According to the cabinet, the readings proved to be false and has blamed the mistake on the lack of communication within staff. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the error.

Li An Ying to resign by end of year?

Rumours have been circulating in the country regarding the future of acting interim admin Li An Ying (Pictured above). Since taking power after the suspension of Kobayashi Taro in September, there has been wild speculation that the 58 year old might consider withdrawing his name from the upcoming elections on January 10th next year and leave the top job permanently. Additional rumours suggest he has been offered a top job of unknown position in an unnamed country located at the North Pacific. So far, Mr Li’s spokesman has fiercely rejected these claims, stating the part Thai; part Bai Lungese politician and businessman will remain in office and commit to his duties right up to the day of the election regardless of any rumours made about his status. Despite never been elected in office, Mr Li has been the longest serving Admin (including acting) in Bai Lungese history. In total, his leadership has lasted over 4 months, surpassing the tenure of 1st ever elected admin Wan Bin. Many political commentators are drawing comparisons of Li’s tenure to that of Deng Xiaoping’s, who never held office as head of state or head of government, but served as the de facto leader of the PRC and was widely credited with improving the economy of that country. Like Deng, Li was also widely credited with improving the economy of Bai Lung after the fall of the Stalinist and Nationalist regimes.

In related news, Interim Admin candidate Chiba Seto has been detained by police for allegedly throwing punches at a spectator while holding a rally in New Jian Sha Tsui. Mr Chiba himself has vehemently denied assaulting anyone in the crowd. According to NBLPF, witness accounts were mixed and contradictory and none of the stories gave a clear picture of the situation. Some claimed that a man poured a clear liquid (some say sake, others say mineral water) on his head, provoking anger to the 61 year old who punched the perpetrator. Others claim he was attacked by one of the spectators who were also shouting anti-Japanese chants and Mr Chiba was defending himself. Some also claimed Mr Chiba attacked one of the spectators for sheer fun of it. Despite the contradictory statements, virtually all witness accounts gave the motivation behind the attack as anti-Japanese motivated. Mr Chiba, who was a lecturer in the Nordu Dannistraa University, was born to a pure Bai Lungese mother who was brutalised by the Japanese army 62 years ago. Police will decide whether to charge him with assault and breach of the peace.

Riots disrupt worker efforts to install new characters on controversial memorial hall.

Riots have broken out in the city centre of Pyongjing resulting in the deaths of 49. The clash, which was sparked off by supporters and opponents of the Chenite regime, have caused further delay to allow contracted workers continue with their work at the National Bai Lung Democracy Memorial Hall formerly known as the Chen Jong Sun Memorial Hall. Workers were to add new characters onto the front gate of the memorial hall 3 days ago but riots outside of the restricted sections has prevented workers from finishing the BL$5 million refurbishment. In response to the rioting, police and the Dannistrian army has cordoned the area by an additional 25 yards. Home Secretary Spokesman Chiang Dae Wen, has stated any rioting is a heinous crime and rioters will face harsh punishment if they persist damaging government property.

Marcel Chen’s gay rumour is confirmed to be true.

After weeks of speculation that the controversial Dannistrian born Bai Lungese film maker Marcel Chen is gay has been confirmed by the man himself. Speaking outside the F’oraf police station accompanied by his agent, Kwon Tai Hu, the reason for the surprise announcement came after that he may not be able to make another film for at least 14 years if he is found guilty for shouting racial epithets in public at the Wilson Movie Theatre last month and he wanted to give unsolved answers which has been circulating since he became a household name. He also added that he intends not to appeal against his sentence, regardless of the severity of his punishment:

— Begin quote from ____

“It’s a predicament I ultimately welcome and I rightfully deserved this punishment to the fullest extent of the law, irrespective of how harsh it may be. I apologise for the inexcusable actions I have created at the Wilson movie theatre. If the court is going to keep me in the slammer for 14 years, then so be it…I will spend the entire 14 years of my sick life in the hands of the East Dannistrian authorities. Before I head back to where I’m being detained, there have been rumours about my sexual orientation. These stories are spot on, I’m a gay man and I’m absolutely proud of my current [sexual] orientation. This is the first time I’ve been able to announce my real [sexual] orientation since my drunken old man pass away two years ago…”

— End quote

By his own admission, he has never been romantically linked with women during his 4 decades of existence and was secretly been sexually attracted to other men without telling his abusive father that he was dating other man instead of ‘following the norm’ otherwise he would threaten to stab him death. He also claimed that his first steps of discovering his sexual orientation happened when he was belted repeatedly by his father as a child for liking the colour pink and he would suspect his wife be the one accountable for Chen’s actions (he would beat her as well). When growing up in F’oraf, he was constantly reminded that there is no such things as gay or transgendered Bai Lungese (Chen also considered changing his sex but faced a series of beatings for making these suggestions). In addition to the near daily beatings (which continued right up the 90’s when he moved away), he also had to put up with his father force feeding him with meat believing that there are also no Bai Lungese vegetarians at all (in a recent interview, he confirmed himself to be a vegetarian). Before his dad passed away in 2005, when ever he would need to introduce his partner to his dad, he would dressed the former up to look like a woman to avoid a belting from his dad.

Reactions from Chen’s public announcement has been sharply divided. Almost all North Dannistrians publicly expressed their support for the Blood Paw director and called for the rest of Dannistaan to follow suit. By contrast, nearly all Bai Lungese have distanced themselves from Chen, believing in the enduring taboo that homosexuals does not exist within Bai Lungese society. Riots have broken out in the F’oraf BL Towns and public burning of Chen’s works were witnessed by several members of the public as well as several of his DVDs steam rollered. Meanwhile, East Dannistrian also gave polarised views of Marcel Chen’s sexual orientation ranging from disinterested to sheer anger. Marcel Chen will summoned before a judge on 28th January.

BREAKING NEWS: Construction workers complete installing new characters on controversial memorial hall.

http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/9781/replacecharacterseu3.jpg
After another 5 days of struggle from rioting, workers managed to install the new characters on the front gate of the highly controversial National Bai Lung Democracy Memorial Hall has been completed, Li An Ying’s spokesman has reported. Previously reading the name of the late dictator, the inscriptions now represent “Liberty Square” on the main gate. The original plan was to add Korean characters as well but intense rioting last week meant that only the Chinese characters could be placed in the front gate. There is also a sign indicating the name change of the memorial hall in order to avoid confusion. The Li An Ying admin will also order extra security cameras to be placed in the front gate to prevent potential vandals from damaging the gate.

The day of the official opening will be announced shortly. It is likely to coincide with the new year.

The Acting Interim Admin Li An Ying (Pictured above) has plans to resign from office after delivering the first ever televised 30 minute Christmas speech at the same time. It also marks the first which a high ranking figure has done so. The Christmas Message came into fruition as a response to raise awareness of the event and to educate citizens that there is other faiths outside of their social circle aside from atheism. According Bai Lung Power, there was a huge power surge of 346 billion kWh when the 3PM broadcast was made, attracting an audience of around 1.8 billion people. Mr Li started the speech by referring to this event as a long awaited momentous occasion (The speech in full can be found at www.newblctvnews.bl).

I have lived long enough to know that things never remain the status quo for very long but one of this exception is the event people of the western world would refer to as the celebration of christmas. Experts representing me and my colleagues have found out only 0.0025% are aware of the event but I’m here today to turn the tables round by raising the awareness of this joyful and momentous occasion celebrated by all faiths, not just Christians but also by atheists. It is the time when everyone, old and young, put their anxiety to rest and remember that Christ was born to bring tolerance and peace to a trouble society, even if it’s for an hour, peace is peace. I’m a Buddhist but I believe the birth of Jesus has very interesting parallels to the birth of a normal baby, both brings great happiness but with everything in reality, the business of growing up begins. This is a process that commences under the care and protections of parents and other members of the family, including the revered older generation.

He then discussed about the significance of christmas. He said is a representation for freedom from the dark, brutal history of the country. Mr Li also talk about the darkest events occurred this year such as the Li Mei hostage crisis.

— Begin quote from ____

This Christmas marks the first time which the exuberant event can be celebrated with rejoice and without personal fear, conflict or ego denomination as all of us has witnessed in the past 44 years. Both the Chenite regime and the Nationalist regime have deprived ourself from the no.1 present anyone would receive: freedom. Both regimes proved themselves to be very callous in their role by taking our best christmas present and defenestrating it before our eyes. This year also saw a mass conflict between both camps. Don’t let history repeat itself like the Bai Lung-Dannistaan conflict this year. As a keen supporter of freedom of expression, I urge all citizens to maintain this status quo by voting the most pragmatic candidate, the one who lead us to a free and democratic Bai Lung. I urge the law abiding not to give into the unwanted intimidation perpetuated by the Atheist Only Movement groups. This year, we also saw a terrorist group known as Free Bai Lung take 600 innocent lives in a central Bai Lung village nearly 4 months ago. They took the lives of 7 others, 7 innocent lives who did nothing to provoke them and none of them had connections with Free Bai Lung. I would not like to see another hostage crisis like we’ve witnessed in Li Mei ever to happen on our soil again. With a kind of group of like them, we would never negotiate with them as we are well aware that they are the kind of people who would double cross us and take out the other 600 if we did not intervene ASAP. Fortunately, nobody died in the raid and I would like to thank the troops from Dannistaan who sacrificed their lives to keep the villagers safe from these uncompromising, uncivilised group. I would also like to thank the police force for their role in cleaning up the aftermath of the siege. All will receive medals for their bravery by the end of the year. I would also send my heartfelt condolences to those who died in the 57 year conflict. There is nothing I could do to bring back those lost live but the least I could do is to honour and remember them for their contribution to Bai Lungese society. I have initiated a long awaited campaign to remember the 150 million died in the 57 years of conflict by building a large memorial dedicated to those people. During Christmas Day, soup kitchens will be opened in virtually all major cities to help the homeless population. There will be free medical check ups.

— End quote

He talked about the speculations floating around about his current course of action.

— Begin quote from ____

In the past month or so, there has been a lot of fierce speculation that I will leave head of office sooner rather than later. Today, I would to announce that the former is the correct answer, I have no plans to maintain this position and it would be for the interest of the public to see me step down as Interim Administrator of Bai Lung. I have made a last minute withdrawal from the upcoming Interim Administration Elections at the same day which I will step down, which will be one week today. My retirement reflects the current political stability of Bai Lung, it’s simply untenable and I feel that I’ve done my work here therefore it is time to transfer my power to another person who will resume will the democratisation of Bai Lung. I do not have to be in power to deal with the process but someone else can continue with the work I finished off while I was in power.

— End quote

He ended the speech on an optimistic note, especially to the less fortunate members of the public.

— Begin quote from ____

On a more happy note, I wish you all a very happy, prosperous and democratic Christmas together. Enjoy your well earned break, sit down, drink a warm cup of tea, watch your favourite program and smile.

— End quote

Reaction to the speech has been mostly positive amongst the populous, though some intend to continue work even on christmas day. A few did however, question why Mr Li chose to retire so soon when a number of Bai Lung’s social ills has not been resolved under Li’s nor his predecessor’s tenure. Meanwhile, some riots have broken out in the streets of Pyongjing, particularly ignited by those of the Atheist Only Movement groups, a group formed not long after both regimes collapsed. They have claimed to have murdered 1 million people in 6 months and have attacked 20 different organisations including terrorist group Free Bai Lung.

Marcel Chen moved to outer F’oraf police station.

The controversial film maker Marcel Chen has been moved to another police station outside of the East Dannistrian capital, F’oraf, as a precaution after intense rioting at the previous police station where detained. Some rioters have attempted to catapult Molotov’s at the police station but such plans were thwarted by police. This meant that police had to move him for both his and the public’s own safety. Last week, he publicly announced that he was gay and wanted to put all rumours to rest as he will serve at least 14 years in prison if he is found guilty of inciting racial hatred in public. Since then, anti-gay riots, consisting of East Dannistrians and Bai Lungese have erupted in the city, destroying any gay friendly establishments and bashing those who look remotely gay. Chen’s spokesman Anderson Kim released a short statement defending Chen’s sexual orientation.

— Begin quote from ____

It was the most sincere action Marcel [Chen] had made in his life time. His outing is not an act of guilt, it is a cause for celebration and fans of Marcel should sympathise with him.

— End quote

The intense continuation of the burning of Chen’s works has lead to arrest of over 230 people for breach of the peace. Despite this setback, Chen will be summoned to court on the planned date (28th January).

BREAKING NEWS: 67 people killed in a shooting spree at a Bai Lungese cruise liner. Gunman drowns self.

http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/9527/cruiseliner2512et9.jpg
A national day of mourning is being held tomorrow after a 28 year old man went on a shooting rampage killing 67 people and injuring 35 others on a cruise liner, which was heading out on a round the world trip this christmas. The gunman, reportedly identified as Yang Chi Dan, drowned himself by jumping off the ship where his body was later recovered by police. The shooting took place at Port Sung, the international trading capital of the country. Officials have now set up a crisis centre to help those affect by the tragedy.

Around 3 hours earlier, the police and fire brigade responded to an emergency call after someone reported that black smoke was seen emerging from the 5th floor of a high rise apartment in Pyongjing. The fire was extinguished 2 hours later. Initially, the apartment had no connection with yesterday’s shooting spree until police and several witnesses confirmed the resident of that apartment as Mr Yang. Forensics team concluded that Mr Yang was the sole culprit who burned down, there was further evidence to back up those claims when a half used fuel container dumped in the middle of a road.

Unlike most spree killings where the perpetrator has left messages explaining their motivation behind the attack, the NBLPF have found no visible clues which may explain the person’s motivation behind the attack. However, they did rule the total purge of any clues which Mr Yang may have collated in the past. Chief Constable Lu Bian explains that virtually all spree killers leave some clue behind, cryptic or not.

— Begin quote from ____

"It is possible that this man may have left some sort of reason behind his attack, whether it be a picture or a drawing. No killer I know leave no clue behind, they could write their woes on their wall, some even record a tape of themselves and bury it in their back yard. The clues remain critical to this case and the sooner we find clues, the sooner which we can determine the individual’s motivation for his shooting spree…

-Chief Constable Lu Bian

Police said the 28 year old ex-soldier attempted to board the S.S. Im at around 1000 but he was blocked by 2 crewmen. Undeterred, Mr Yang shot them both and it was from there he started his 1 hour shooting spree where he took the lives of 52 civilians, 12 crewmen including the captain of the ship and 3 policemen. Mr Yang was armed with 2 AK-47’s, each equipped with 100 round magazines; 6 Stechkin APS; a SPAS-12 and a hunting knife. Mr Yang had no criminal record prior to the shooting and “was raised in a middle class family were his siblings enjoyed a prosperous life”, Chief Constable Lu Bian said.

The police responded to an emergency call made at 1011 and made contact with the gunman when they arrived at the harbour 15 minutes later. According to Sergeant Liu, Mr Yang may have used home made pipe bombs to kill two police officers.

— Begin quote from ____

"We tried to negotiate with Mr Yang by asking him to drop down his guns and surrender. Then, out of the blue, a burning metallic object landed followed by this sharp, ear piercing explosion then I immediately knew the predicament of 2 of my colleagues, who were fairly close to me. The thud of that object was followed by a sharp, ear piercing bang and I was blown away by a couple of yards. I saw bits of my colleagues flew right pass me.  If that wasn’t bad enough, that was followed by a series of of fire, killing another of my men. The man is quite knowledgeable when it comes to making home made explosives and he is a dead eye shot too. I suspect that these were improvised pipe bombs which Yang was using against us.

As police surrounded the ship, passengers were rescued by police boats from other side of the exits not defended by Mr Yang. A passenger give his account on yesterday’s shooting.

“Suddenly, people began rambling around and shot were heard began pouring down. I saw bloody bodies lying in the corridors and rooms. Dead and possible dying. We all started to run in fear and we screamed. We were trying to make a break for our lives when this psychotic man sprayed bullets in all different directions.”

The standoff came to an end when Mr Yang jumped into the water drowning himself. His body was later recovered when the cruise liner was searched thoroughly for any possible dangers such as any rigged explosives or traps. Despite leaving no clues at his apartment, a block of C-4 was found on Mr Yang’s body as well as 3 photographs; one containing a photo of the S.S. Im, another containing a mushroom cloud explosion and a satellite photo of 1 Infinite Loop. Police indicate that the clues will help with their investigation.

Announcing a nation day of mourning on Wednesday, acting interim admin Li An Ying described today’s massacre as an “unforgivable and terrible tragedy”.

— Begin quote from ____

“This is a dreadful day in Bai Lung. The tragedy came shortly after I delivered my Christmas message offering optimism to all citizens of Bai Lung and then this rampage followed shortly. Today’s incident has deeply undermined the sense of security in society…no one had expected such an unredeemable act…I send my heart-felt condolences to the families of the victims in the incident. The least I could do right now is to set up a crisis centre to aid those affected by today’s tragedy…”

-Li An Ying

— End quote

If asked if he will stay in office for a little longer, he replied: “No, I must leave as head of state and pass on this work to another equally person no matter how desperate a crisis. My work is almost complete and staying longer could retroactively damage the democratisation of Bai Lung.” The comment was met with criticism by some, notably Dannistrian General Duh’rahn N’outah.

Following yesterday’s shooting, there has been questioning about the lack of security in the country and why the police acted so slowly in extreme situations like the spree shooting. More importantly, how did Mr Yang obtain so many guns.

Macabre Express play to be shown in Pyongjing theatre despite protests.

The theatrical adaptation of a hugely controversial novel is to be shown at the Pyongjing theatre in the capital despite large scale protests from the public as well as some high ranking politicians including interim admin candidate Ling Wei. The musical play, titled Macabre Express, based on the 1977 novel of the same name, has been a highly controversial adaptation because of it’s seemingly light hearted look at the Japanese invasion of Bai Lung in 1937 and for it’s sympathetic look on the Japanese characters.

The novel has been written by Annette Chu-Suzuki-Oo’lon, an overseas Bai Lungese of Japanese (Nekomimi) and Dannistrian descent currently living in Nordu Dannistra City in Dannistaan. In a latest interview with the 62 year old, she wrote the book in response to the “rabid bigotry” within Bai Lungese and Japanese society. The inception of her novel was not an easy one to do as she spent over 6 years trying to interview various Bai Lungese survivors of the Rape of Bai Lung but most either turned her down or failed to give a concise account of the invasion 70 years ago. Despite these set backs coupled with an ultimatum from her family threatening to disown her, Ms Oo’lon managed to spend 3 meticulous years writing the novel and it was eventually published on December 1977.

Despite the overwhelming backlash from the public, the musical adaptation is not without it’s supporters most notably rival Interim Admin Candidate Chiba Seto, who downplayed all of the negative responses, calling the critics "hypocritical, juvenile and unfit for the purpose of analysing an fun frolic play ". Mr Seto called the protesters a spiteful, undemocratic minority.

— Begin quote from ____

“This is the kind of trojan horse you are welcoming in this country in the name of freedom of expression. I respect the rights of the director and that of the novelist as it is their right to make any play of this ilk even if it is provocative. Why shuld they create it? Like with all of us, they are exercising their freedom of expression and they should be able to create such material without fear from those so called minority named as protesters who serve no purpose other than to extirpate their right [to adapt Macabre Express] and promote violence which in itself intimidates their victims.”

-Chiba Seto

— End quote

Macabre Express will be shown from 27th December to 27th January at the Pyongjing theatre.
