Meet Hadash, Caprecia’s new Prime minister

Hadash is now Caprecia’s 13th Prime minister after winning the elections with virtually no competition. Hadash has been a faithful citizen of Caprecia for nearly two years now and has played a very active role player as well as a major contributor towards the social regional community. He now assumes the role that Nuuk previously held and will oversee recovery efforts in the region.

When asked about his political leanings Hadash had placed himself more to the left side of the political sphere. Hadash also held the consul position previously where we saw his active role in assuring the rules and laws were upheld. Hadash also kept an active role in the election period overseeing that the election process was being carried out fairly. Hadash’s election win indicates a new start and era for the region, we can only wish the best for him and his administration as they undertake a new Caprecia in a new era.

Caprecians vote yes in favour of allowing a regional militia

What is considered to have set a precedent for the region, Caprecian citizens have voted in favour of allowing a militia to be formed in the region. The proposal was brought forward by Dom in argument that it should be a region’s right to freely gather in defence. The debate over allowing a militia to be formed in the region is in no way new, it was one of the most heated debates during the Moosh administration where the idea was shot down by hard core neutralists. The initial argument against allowing private or even regional militia’s was on the basis that it would be a threat to regional neutrality. However since major figures of the Moosh government had left the region, the idea was reintroduced and passed.

Dom has stated that the militia will be for the defence of the region and also as way to gather real interests in military and battlefield topics. “The goal of the militia is to test the capabilities of the region and also to bring together Caprecians who wish to serve their region” stated Dom, the militia founder. We are unsure as to what the name of the militia or what it’s core activity will be but the government of Caprecia has made it clear that the militia will in no way be promoted or funded by them.

Recovery efforts for Caprecia

After what was the most depressive and inactive few months in Caprecia’s history, recovery efforts are now being made to restore the region. The “attempt” as referred to by the Founder is in resuming recruitment efforts and updating the regional community forum to attract more nations. For close to a year now Caprecia has gone below what was it’s acceptable size and activity. Just last month the region dropped down to an all time low in regional size of 43 nations and at one period there were only two active nations on the forum. While the regional inactivity was significant it was predicted prior by regional analysts with the theory of “what goes up must come down”. A major factor that contributed to the regional decline was an end to recruitment efforts. Now with an attempt the revive these efforts, there is a hope that the region will recover.

“It was rough start to the year” said the founder and lead recruiter for Caprecia, “but hopefully we can overcome this inactivity and return to what we as a region once were”. The region is slowly recovering in population but there has been no assurance that the region will recover completely. Right now all the government can do is hope and recruit.

Calls to replace or remove the constitution

There are calls from many Caprecians being lead by senior member Oertha to either remove or replace the constitution. The proposal which has gained the vast majority of support from Caprecians at current would have never been imagined a year ago when Caprecia was lead by the Moosh coalition. One of the main reasons for the calls to end the current constitution is cited in many of the laws which are seen as restrictive and in part the cause to Caprecia’s community decline.

The constitution of Caprecia was introduced on May 21st by then interior minister Lucava and was strongly supported by the Moosh government, nicknamed the “British Caprecian Campaign” during that time period. We must note that this term was associated with the strong British nationality presence in matters concerning the region at the time and did not apply to all pro-moosh supporters. The constitution was Caprecia’s first and was introduced nearly two years following the regions founding (one of the longest periods for a constitution in nationstates). The idea of the constitution was to bring the region more stability and more order however opponents cite that the constitution never provided much to the region aside from more regulation.

In the thread written “A dialogue concerning the constitution” senior member Oertha cited in his issue with the constitution that “there are horrible, glaring errors within the document that need fixing anyway” and that “it’s overkill, we don’t need such a tight belted system in the region”. When asked on his opinion and stance on the matter of the constitution, his foundership, Dom stated that ”I am of the opinion that if the people call for a change in constitution, I will support this, however in all honesty I never had an issue with the previous one, but maybe change is something I don’t readily see”. With the vote the constitution is set to be removed soon. It is unsure what this will mean for things to come for the region, but it is in hope that more freedom will bring more interest back into the community.

13th Elections receive the lowest participation in region’s history

Caprecia’s 13th elections that were held this month offered little change if any to the region. All positions up for grabs had one candidate so the people are only left with Mr Abstain (aka duck or goose) or the other candidate (who is probably a senior member). The lack of turn out for the elections has been cited due to obvious reasons, namely the fact that caprecia has been going through a long and expansive inactive period and recovery efforts have only begun. While the elections offer little change, in the name of tradition and democracy they are being held regardless, and turn out for the votes is expected to be at it’s lowest.

Wise words from the founder

Upon learning that he won the foreign minister’s elections by a landslide against the goose, Dom demonstrated his confidence in winning all along against his political opponent, the goose, by making this comment:

” HAH! I knew I’d come out top! That goose didn’t have ANY experience what so ever. The Caprecian people are wise.

And that’s this months wise words from the founder.

Foreign Minister plans an multi-regional tour

The foreign minister has announced that he will be making a regional tour to a number of regions Caprecia’s holds and embassy with and possibly new regions. The foreign minister has not confirmed which regions will be contacted and visited neither has he announced a date. The goal of the tour is to improve Caprecia’s image abroad and to strengthen ties with other regions.

Marxist Lennist Party region occupied

It was a lightening campaign by the New Inquisition and their allies to invade the region of Marxist Lennist Party last week. The region, which is communist leaning, is now occupied by your standard raiders, and aside from the New Inquisition that has been named, others include the Black Hawks, Land of Kings and Emperors, The New Brittanian empire and surprisingly Europeia, what was once assumed to be a neutral region.

As to whether the Marxist Lennist region was worthwhile of an invasion? That is questionable considering that 70% of the region’s population consists of an occupational force, but hey, it’s an achievement for the region none the less. As for the Founderless regions alliance reaction? Well we have no reports of any official statement from them, and it is looking clear that defenders will not be demanding a withdrawal anytime soon.

Inactivity crises facing neighbouring regions

While inactivity has hit Caprecia significantly for the last few months, neighbouring regions have not faired any better. Some of our neighbours are on the verge of collapse while others are pushing for recovery efforts as we are here to spare their regional community. This is not a domestic issue in any sense, it is an issue that has spread throughout our regional sector. “For some of our regional neighbours we have lost contact, I’ve had reports that some regions are virtually deserted while others are still maintaining their regional communities, but at a bare minimum”. The foreign minister will be reviewing many of the embassies Caprecia currently hold in part of an effort to cut down on foreign ministry update work.

Fidelian elections

With events occurring in Caprecia, like a true neighbour, Fidelia finds itself with the same events. Fidelia is also holding her elections and as turn out in Caprecia is low, so is Fidelia. But that has not stopped Fidelians from doing their regional duty and voting. Currently four names have been put up for parliament, Richard Massey, one of the more senior members of the region, Jack Dawkins, one of the more experienced government members, SteveC1994, one of the newer and active members of the Fidelian community and yumyum, another active member with political experiences from outside regions. We can only wish the best for the Fidelians and hope this government will help lead the region to a brighter era.

The DSA votes to reaffirm freedom of expression

The Democratic Socialist Alliance is in the current process of voting to reaffirm freedom of expression in their congressional halls this week. The purpose of the amendment is to allow the regional delegate and founder to bar what would be offensive and abusive posts on the regional forums while protecting other forms of speech. The votes so far are all “for” and the amendment is expected to pass.

Hello The East Pacific!

First of all I’d like to thankyou for maintaining our embassy even after months of inactivity. It’s be rather silent down there in Caprecia as many members are stuck with private obligations. I am however happy to report that plans are in place to begin recovery efforts for the region and we will have brand new Chronicle news update for ya by November.

Again, thanks for you’re patients, and thanks for continuing to update with us!

Government gets a cut

Regions of nationstates typically have oversized governments, and this is not so far off from Caprecia. The region at one time held 6 positions for a regional size ranging from 50-120 nations. That’s all about to change however, given the inactivity crises that has held a grip over Caprecia for about a year now. It was announced by officials recently that the government would be cut in half. In this years November elections, there will only be the position of Consul, Interior minister and the prime minister position. To further add to interest, there are talks among senior members towards the idea of exchanging the position of Prime Minister for the position of President. Overall, the proposal for these changes have been welcomed by citizens and there are no real reasons to oppose it. ‘Government is supposed to function to the needs of the region’ stated Dom. ‘When government expands to a size beyond the need of what the region requires, it becomes bloated and expansive’. All positions will be up for grabs at the same time as per elections, the next elections having being planned towards the end of November. Elections will continue to occur every 4 months.

RP minister Lines makes major changes to Caprecia’s RP system

Lines has been the de-facto RP minister for some time now, and with Caprecia’s recovery campaign, lines contributing and reforming the way we role play in Caprecia. The role playing community is an instrumental part to Caprecian culture and in an effort to stimulate more interest, Lines has decided to move to a more deregulated approach of RPing, a move that is part of his strategy titled ‘stimulus measures’. So far nobody has objected to the changes made by lines, and why should they? He’s got an iron grip and he’s not called the ‘the general’ in Caprecia for nothing. In all seriousness though, necessary changes are being made and we hope to have a more free and less regulated role playing system in place to stimulate more interests and growth in the RP community.

Mikeswill, delegate of Nationstates, closes embassy with Caprecia

This would typically be considered news for the Foreign Observer, but since this involves Caprecia, we’ll make the exception. Mikeswill made a move earlier this month to close embassies with Caprecia because of the decision of most Caprecian WA members to vote for the ‘repeal’ of his world assembly commendation. Caprecia has a ‘free for all’ delegate system where the elections of the WA delegate and WA matters are at core left to WA nations to decide. The resulting decision of the WA nations and the delegate in Caprecia caused Mike to close down all ties. But Mike’s issue stems beyond Caprecia as criticism mounts on whether he deserved to get a commendation in the first place. Allegations of raider infiltration and an extensive puppetry network in his region have been extensive and sharp. Nevertheless, the foreign minister remarked that it was ‘a great shame that we lost a tie with such an historic region’ and when posed with comments about accusations of Mikeswill, the foreign minister stated that ‘everybody has an agenda, in the end, we’re all just trying to find our place and trying to make a name in this game, some unfortunately do so by hurling accusations at others’. The ‘repeal Commend Mikeswill’ proposal was put out on the very end of October and ended after 4 days of voting. Votes for the repeal were roughly 5 to 1, virtual landslide for the repeal. Mikeswill is at current the longest serving WA delegate in the Nationstates.

Recovery in Caprecia, slowly but surely

The population and activity levels of Caprecia have been to the center of the newspaper for some time now. This year Caprecia reached new lows in population account and the community had been at the lowest in activity than ever before. This had not been first time Caprecia had found itself in this position, having gone through periods of activity and inactivity like the average region. Thanks to recruitment efforts, Caprecia is slowly recovering, and with efforts by government officials, moves have been made to stimulate activity within the community again.

Independence day for Osiris

In what was one of the most highly competitive delegate races, Zoalat has won elections toward becoming the interim delegate of Osiris. It would be fair to say he would be the first democratically elected delegate in Osiris and during his term he will oversee the formation of the Osirian government and constitution. In what was an official response to campaign promises, Zaolat stated that no plans of becoming ‘permanent delegate’ of Osiris, pointing to the obvious fact that he’d only be delegate for the 3 month period specified by the original occupiers, 10,000 Islands. Among the many campaign promises made, Zaolat reaffirmed his commitment towards ‘establishing an admin group’ and establishing a ‘constitutional convention. A rather significant task lies ahead for the new delegate when he assumes one of the most influencial positions in nationstates. However, there does appear to be no limit in enthusiastic members joining the community so the future looks bright for Osiris.

Osiris was one of two new Sinkers established to take some of the weight of refounding nations off of Lazarus. The other new slightly smaller sinker is Balder which appears to have already formed a government and a community. Luxembourg is the new delegate of Balder, having won the elections with 61% of the vote. Osiris has already received sign ups from members towards forming the Osirian Guard, the regional militia.

Update
10,000 island forces have already begun a withdrawal from Osiris with Zaolat assuming the administration controls.

Two new offices are to be added to the East Pacific goverment

It isn’t easy creating a newspaper, neither is it an easy task to promote a region. This is the dilemma that our neighbours, The East Pacific, and many other regions currently face. To deal with this situation, Todd, long time East Pacific Delegate, proposed that two new offices be created specifically for those purposes where individuals are elected to those positions. The idea did not go through without criticism though from some within the East Pacific hierarchy, but Todd remarked that ‘we can’t just give the position duties without consequence, but that’s not really a discussion for me to intervene with. I just feel elections offer a deeper sense of connectivity.’ While the idea was met with some scepticism, it was eventually voted in unanimously by The East Pacificans. The two new positions will be ‘Media officer’ and ‘Tourism officer’. The move to make these roles actual elected positions are not anything new as a number of other regions can be accounted for holding similar positions over the years. However such positions can only really be successful with larger regions.

Feeders form the Modern Pacific Alliance

Incase some of you have been sleeping for the last few months, the feeders have form an alliance called the ‘Modern Pacific Alliance’. The brainchild of this idea appears to be a nation by the name of ‘A mean old Man’, or AMOM as he is often referred to. Not all feeders have signed up to the idea though, it appears for now it only includes The Pacific, The South Pacific (who had some differences with the treaty prior) and The East Pacific. We were unable to get information as to why The West and North Pacifics have not latched onto the idea yet. We’ll assume that Lazarus, The Rejected Realms, and new Twin sinkers Balder and Osiris simply had not been invited either. Eitherway, the feeder alliance doesn’t appear to be gaining to much ground in activity. Recently the final modifications to the treaty were made earlier this month and signed, so looks like they still got some work to do on the alliance in terms of developing communication channels and a structure.

Thanks for the update! Good to hear from you folks again!

Hello East Pacificans!

It is with great sadness that I request our embassy be closed here in the east pacific. Caprecia, I feel, has come to it’s end, and I think it is unfair that we continue holding an embassy with you guys if we cannot ensure an active diplomatic relation in the future to come.

Despite all my efforts in reviving Caprecia and the community, I believe that it is time to let it be. I no longer have the energy to hold up the region and activity my myself. I also understand Todd your decision, if so, to close our embassy with you in nationstates itself. Let me just just say thankyou however for opening your region up to us and allowing relations to grow between our regions, it has been an honor! We do share a common community through RP, and I wish the East pacific all the best for time to come.

Caprecia will still be around, we’ll just have a largerly inactive government. We’ll still hold embassies but there will not be much in activity. This is hard for me to do for my region, but yes, tough decisions need to be made.

Thankyou for reading.

Very sorry to hear this, mate. Your region was always one of my favorites.

Best of luck in your endeavors, wherever they may lead you. Perhaps we could convince you to stick around in TEP?

Revival efforts make way to restore Caprecia

After months of regional inactivity there are revival efforts made by old founding members to restore Caprecia in size and activity. Along with recruitment efforts, role playing has resumed in the community along with a return to political business. When asked to comment on revival efforts Founder Dom stated that “the dedication and motivation from our members will be instrumental in getting this region back on track”. Last week Caprecia reached a 4 year low of 39 nations and the region was at one point left for dead, however interests have resumed in the community possibly because of the summer period. We do not know how long the revival will last but we can be certain that a lot of interest and effort is being reinvested back into the region.

Major cuts made in government

The general assembly recently passed a new bill which would dramatically cut down the government and amend the constitution. This new amendment to the constitution, lead by the founder, proposes that the government be cut down to only two positions. One of those positions would be the role play minister, but to add a twist, the top position would be the “president” in place of “prime minister”. The reason for the cuts to the government stems from the lack of interest in government positions over the years. Because Caprecia is primarily an RP region, focus tends to be on that aspect of the community, so historically regional politics and elections have never really gathered much activity. It is in the hopes that by cutting down the government there will be more interests in the elections for the limited two positions as well as a consolidation of issues and roles. The President will now take responsibility typically held by the interior and foreign ministries, however the founder will continue diplomacy as usual.

I dare say it is some miracle that our embassy is still here, especially after my last post. Ah well it’s good, hey guys! https://groups.tapatalk-cdn.com/smilies/52127/1536592191.5826-smiley.gif?ttinline=true

So I have a quick update here for you all.

Renatia becomes Caprecia’s protectorate

Renatia was raided by “The Black Riders” just over a month ago, the invasion hit too close for home to Caprecia as Renatia was a very closely related region to Caprecia, it is viewed upon as a splinter region of Caprecia. However around a week after the raid Black Rider forces began to withdraw for another mission leaving Renatia not only founderless but also without a delegate. With the aid of FRA members (most of them being for New Sorvun), Renatia was taken control over. Recently the delegacy was transferred back to natives however all administrative duties of the region were transferred to the Caprecian government as the Renatian people no longer hold the capacity to manage their own region on Nationstates.

Caprecia seeks membership through the Commonwealth

The Commonwealth is a new multi-regional entity consisting of New Sorvun, Atlantis, Atrigeas and Valtemrei. The purpose of the Union is to combine the activities between the regions and to unite the communities. Caprecian’s have voted overwhelmingly in favour of joining this Union with 0 in opposition. At the moment the charter is being written but Commonwealth officials are confident that Caprecia will be accepted in due time.

Membership of the Union will not require Caprecia to give up her current foreign relations.

Recruitment plans

Plans to restore the region back to it’s initial 100 nation mark has been delayed for a number of months now. The founder hopes to resume recruitment by the end of this month, however it is predicted that it will take atleast a month before Caprecia can fully recover.

“however all administrative duties of the region were transferred to the Caprecian government as the Renatian people no longer hold the capacity to manage their own region on Nationstates”

Defender, you say? Sounds imperialist to me.

I assure you, we were given administrative duties by the Renatians themselves. They’ve decided to focus their community outside of NationStates. At this point we’ve transferred the delegacy to one of their natives but regional enquiries are passed onto us as they don’t care to tend to those any longer.

I must admit, after liberating that region, it is rather interesting the way it turned out.

To our friends in The East Pacific, we want to announce news concerning Caprecia and her future in nationstates. Yesterday Caprecia officially joined The Commonwealth of regions, a political union consisting of two other regions, New Sorvun and Atlantis . We no longer need to face a future alone, we face it united with members of other regions. It will be instrumental to our survival in the coming months, it will breath new life into our community, and we will in turn do the same for theirs. While we are politically unified in the Commonwealth, our regions are still sovereign and our foreign affairs at this point continues as per usual. I’d like to reassure our friends in The East Pacific that we will continue to hold relations with you, and we will set up a new embassy section for your region in due time. We will continue to update our embassy here and remain in contact. The East Pacific has and will always be an important large neighbour of ours, we are connected in culture and history, and we will continue to develop a strong relationship between our regions.

I shall be contact with your minister of foreign affairs in due time once your embassy has been set up in our forums. We will be posting the new Caprecian Chronicle in due time as well so please stay tuned! I will remain as ambassador to The East Pacific as per usual!

Hello The East Pacific!

I’d like to apologise for our absence. A lot has been going on in Caprecia and unfortunately we’ve put our foreign relations in the backseat. I’m just here to say that we still value our relations with The East Pacific!

There is a currently discussions and negotiations in place between Caprecia and Nysa over merging their role play communities and their RP ministries. Currently it’s being voted on and so far it is looking good. The push for this merger mainly stems on bring about more activity to both our communities. Currently both Caprecia and Nysa are members of the Commonwealth of regions.

Discussions over a new presidential election in Caprecia go no where. It appears that Caprecians just aren’t interested in elections at this point. However elections may be held regardless of turn out.

Well that’s it. I hope things are going well here for ya’ll!

Thanks for the update.

[th colspan=“1”]Bridging the Gap Between the RP Communities and Mainstream Nationstates[/th]
When I founded Caprecia I had one goal in mind: to create a region which would accommodate both serious RPers and Mainstream NSers. I thought this would be a fine idea, that it would attract members from both sides to my region. I believed such a thing could be done, that the RP world and Mainstream Nationstates—those involved in regional government and Defending/Raiding—would come together in harmony and create the perfect hybrid region. Now, six years since I founded Caprecia, I have discovered that I was naive. Why was I wrong in making this assumption?

Caprecia initially had a regional government put in place which would manage all the “Out Of Character” matters in NationStates—such as foreign affairs, social discussions and regional administration. However, although we had an official government in place, it was never very active (aside from a short-lived period in 2009). Why weren’t our government and our social community all that active?

Because it was being overshadowed by our RP community.

You see, although I had intended to introduce Caprecia into the NSverse as the perfect hybridization of a serious Roleplay region and a Mainstream NS region, one community ended up dominating the other. The thing I’ve learned over the years is that you simply cannot balance the world of serious Roleplayers and the world of Mainstream NSers—you simply can’t, it cannot be done. One is going to inevitably overshadow the other and this is simply the reality of the fact. You’ll always end up with one section being the lesser active community meant to pull in the preferences of a few odd nations and that’s it. Only one section will really appeal to the main group.

Let’s look at an example shall we? I won’t mention any specific regions, but I will focus on regions mainly catered to the Defending/Raiding aspects of NationStates and regions that are just focused on the political aspects of NationStates. You will find that many of these regions will have their own sections for Roleplay. Why? To appeal to more people and to bring them into their communities. They also have Roleplay sections so that their own members can dabble in a fictional world without needing to leave (or create puppets) for other regions. So what’s the point?

If you actually take the time to look at the activity in the Roleplay sections of their forums compared to the rest of their forums, you will discover it is only but a fraction. These forums also tend to be far less developed compared to those of primarily Role Play-themed regions. The nations that Roleplay in these regions tend not to focus too much on role play laws, realism, MT and FT concerns; these are very unregulated Roleplay sections that are really only there to try and provide for different-minded members. In contrast, here in Caprecia, over 90% of the forum is devoted purely for Roleplay. For a region intended to be a hybridized Roleplay/mainstream NS region we certainly don’t appear to have much of a balance between the communities do we now?

Mind you, our forums were much more balanced back in the days but slowly the Roleplay community began to dominate and overshadow Caprecia. We’ve come to accept over the years that our region is not a hybrid region but a primarily Roleplay region that has made “efforts” in devoting part of its activities to mainstream NS issues. This is something I’ve personally needed to accept… it is just a reality of the game.

Here is another example for you: a week ago I set up a forum for nominations for the presidency of Caprecia… nobody put forward their nomination but me. Why? It wasn’t because we were inactive—to the contrary, we’ve been having high activity as of late. It’s because our membership consists of serious Roleplayers who do not concern themselves with mainstream NS. Do you see what I’m getting at here?

Now, many people will object to my view on all this and they will point to a few regions where they may be a very active and successful Roleplay section. Nevertheless you will still find that, in these regions, there will not be real balance—that one aspect of NS will dominate the other. It’s kind of hard to explain this, especially to most other founders and government officials of other mainstream NS; it’s something you need to learn over time yourself.

So get to the point Dom!!? What can we do to bridge the gap between the Roleplay communities and mainstream NS?

Acceptance is the key, tolerance as well. We need to accept that the Roleplay communities of NationStates much prefer their own space when dealing with Roleplay matters. These communities tend to be very wary of Mainstream NS governments and rightfully so… who wants government regulating Roleplay rules and matters they know or understand nothing about? We need to accept that both sides of the fence need their own space. The bridge comes into play when you have representatives such as Roleplay Ministers and Interior Ministers, sitting side by side, discussing their various concerns. The bridge comes into play when Mainstream NSers accept that these Roleplay communities need to be regulated by their own and they need to be left in their own environments. These two communities cannot live side by side without one overshadowing the other; they need their own space and it’s something NSers need to learn to accept. This goes well beyond merely having separate forums and separate rules. This is about accepting the autonomy of both sides and realizing that the two worlds require different environments to thrive… because, put in the same environment, they will inevitably cannibalize on one another.

MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR:
Greetings and sorry we haven’t got an update to you earlier.

You may or may not know we both joined the Commonwealth of Regions early last year, and have now left that organisation a couple of months ago. Just before leaving, our two regions decided to merge forums and roleplay worlds and since then, Nysa and Caprecia have also merged our governments to form the Oracian Society - so we’ve been dealing with all the repercussions of that and getting used to each other. We’ve also been joined by many members from Alterra following its schism, and many ex-Commonwealth members who came to stay with us when we left.

We’ve also honestly never put a huge priority on our foreign affairs in the past as roleplay regions, but our new Prime Minister has kicked things into gear so look forward to even more boring news from us. So, read down for said boring news.

~ Kingborough

TALK OF THE REGION:
Since our merger, we’ve never been better and are having a great time. We’ve got an activity of 35-40 members visiting the forum a day and over a hundred posts a day, some awesome maps thanks to the esteemed Lines, and we’ve written a new snazzy constitution to deal with our merged government.

Caprecia will celebrate it’s 7th annieversary this July, and Nysa it’s 2nd … as fate would have it, we discovered last July when me and Dom went to post happy birthday topics that both our regions share the same founding day - the 29th - just several years apart. It’s a strange world.

Thanks to the esteemed Mesta and Deckard Christopher, Oracia also has its own talkshows. The Oracian Report and Crossfire by Mestra and the DC Show by Deckard, which have been generating a ton of interest. The people of Oracia have been able to meet on Skype and debate and discuss our region in some interesting talks on everything from history to evil Kubanizian babies (don’t ask). It’s always great to put a voice to a name  You can check out the talkshows http://s3.zetaboards.com/Caprecian_continents/topic/7656992/1/.

A while back Ikarius hosted an Oracian poker tournament on IRC, which I am told was a blast. We also have had some great literature turning up, with Raz writing a SAO fanfic for us and a poetry circle being opened with some beautiful submissions from Zanaro, Valus and Mestra.

That’s all I can think of for now, and I’m sure you’re bored by now so I’ll end this here.

WELCOME TO NEW PEOPLE
Finally, we’d like to welcome these new people to Oracia who joined recently;
