Maybe we should then. Collect the suggested names that people have seemed to like, and put them down for each continent. We’ll go by these numbers to make it easier to correlate the names to:

This isn’t because I say so, but because of past RP threads and history, it is probably better if we just use these names to avoid conflict.

Damn, if blood ocean is the only candidate for number 9, then damn i want to nominate purple sea. No i dont like blood ocean, might fit packs, but not me. Vesilia is also a nice alternative to 9 that i will vote for alternativly.

So, I apologize for posting so late here, but amidst finals and switching into my new job, I got a tad overwhelmed. I do have a suggestion, though: what about naming areas for historical figures in TEP/NS? It’d be great to have a “Kandarinese” or “Loopian” Sea, for instance, or a “Wachovian Sea” or anything like that.

If not that, I think for a lot of this, we could just go with more generic names. 1 could be the “Northern Archipelago,” 2 could be the “Continent,” 3/5/6/the rightmost island of 4 could be referred to according to where they are on “the Ring,” the rest of 4 could be referred to as the “Southern Archipelago,” etcetera etcetera. Not sure about the seas – definitely something foreboding for the one next to Pak, though.

I’d be all for naming the #8 spot Loopian Sea, personally. His nation more or less defines the north and northeast portions of the sea, so seeing as that nation makes a significant border to the sea I’d be game.

Alright. I’ve given the matter some thought and here are my votes, reasoning included in parenthesis. I doubt any of these make it through, but, I thought I’d throw nin my two cents. For the record, I think all the proposed names are cool.

  1. Itur (makes sense if its surrounded by the Gulf of Itur)
  2. The Old East Pacific (this was the basis of TEP, why not recognize that?)
  3. North Insulia (seems cool)
  4. South Insulia (seems cool)
  5. North Aurora (seems cool)
  6. South Aurora (seems cool)
  7. Gulf if Itur (past RP)
  8. Loopian Sea (because I think Loop deserves some recognizin’)
  9. Bay of Peril (blood goes a tad far but its definitely a perilous place)
  10. Gat Ocean (past RP)
