Due to recent events, please be informed that I wish to postpone the Dalmaghar summit until the Puntalian crisis is over.

We are also very concerned with the course the Puntalian crisis is taking. We believe that mediation and deescalation is the best path to solve the conflict, but we do not believe the conference in Fargo be able to properly mediate the situation for the following reasons:

  • The conference is held in Fargo, Rufunia. This appears to give Rufunia a slight position of strength in the negotiations.

  • Rufunia will not admit certain nations to the negotiations. This will almost certainly be seen as a slight to those nations that they disapprove of, which will lead to their grievances not being fully addressed. We believe that this will prevent a lasting solution.

We believe instead the conference should be held in Sani Bursil, or in an uninvolved nation. We also would prefer it if any involved nation were allowed to participate.

Please be assured that we believe deescalation is the proper solution.

Great Morstaybishlia recognises and thanks the Prime Minister Eoforwine for postponing the Riberoe Summit between the United Kingdom of Great Morstaybishlia and the Kingdom of Tretrid, we believe that until the Puntalian crisis has eased this summit should remain postponed.

The Government of Great Morstaybishlia is also very concerned with the actions so far taken during this crisis in Puntalia by both sides. We assure Tretrid and its people that Great Morstaybishlia so far has done all it can to mediate the rising tensions. In the interest of peace and to de-escalate the conflict we have set up a maritime blockade between Rufuina and the joint NSTO-UCA forces that stretch between all three coastlines of Rufuina and Puntalia, until a peaceful resolution can be achieved.

Overnight, the Government of Great Morstaybishlia received news that the dignitary from Norgsveldet will not be attending the Fargo Summit. This news is unfortunate, but due to the fact that the Fargo Summit is being held in Fargo today, 2 July 2020, Great Morstaybishlia will continue by sending Prime Minister Franklin Barvata. We feel that by pulling out of the Fargo Summit with such short notice would not just set a bad image of Great Morstaybishlia to the world but also is directly insulting to the nations that are continuing to the summit.

We understand your points regarding your dissatisfaction with the Fargo Summit, and assure the Tretridian Government that if the Fargo Summit is further boycotted, cancelled or does not reach an agreement, the Government of Great Morstaybishlia will immediately move to motion and arrange a summit that would take place in Sani Bursil. If the Fargo Summit is inconclusive and a Sani Bursil Summit is arranged, we will release a comprehensive list of invited nations, which will be limited to nations directly involved in the crisis unfolding in Arcturia but also extended to three neutral nations to further the idea of neutrality, mediation and peace. We hope Tretridian Prime Minister Eoforwine endorses this.

In addition to the above paragraph, because the conflict surrounds Rufuina and the current summit is being held in Rufuina; in accordance with Rufuinan policy, if a summit were to be held in Sani Bursil, the Government of Great Morstaybishlia would decline the idea of inviting any communist or matriarchal governments. This however will not apply to socialist governments, as the definition of “socialist” differs in Great Morstaybishlia and Rufuina. Kia ora Prime Minister Franklin Barvata

The Oan government would like to cooperate with Great Morstaybishlia to build infrastructure in the Morstaybishlian West Pacific Territories to realize the economic and social potential of its people. The Oan Department of Commerce and Workers and the Department of Public Works have prepared a proposal for infrastructure projects that will strengthen the links and exploit the economic opportunities between the Oan Isles and the MWPT – and by extension Great Morstaybishlia.

This proposal seeks to invest 20 billion KRB over a period of 4 years, with 5 billion KRB being invested annually. The scheme aims to leverage private and public sector funding. The Oan Treasury will finance 10 billion KRB while the state-owned Oan Industrial and Commercial Bank will provide 10 billion KRB of below prime-rate loans to businesses interested in participating in these projects. On top of this, we are in discussions with private sector companies such as Café Net and Metatron to raise an additional 10 billion KRB for the initiatives. Discussions have been fruitful and they have expressed a high level of interest.

These projects will aim to use at least 60% local materials and 60% MWPT citizens to work in these projects. According to our projections, the projects in this initiative will create at least 7,000 jobs. The projects will be required to meet world-class standards of economic and environment sustainability. The public will be consulted on all projects, especially projects which affect their lifestyle or livelihood.

Proposed projects are as follows:
• The Southern Antilles-Oan Transport Links: rail and road links via bridges and tunnels will be constructed to link Southern Antillian Islands to the Oan Islands of Koroimotu, Maungamotu and Tokamotu.
• The West Pacific Telecommunications Cable System: Undersea Fibre optic cables connecting the Oan home Islands to all 12 MWPT regions to increase internet speed.
• The Koroimotu Hydroelectric Project: On the Southern Antillian Island which we call Koroimotu and which forms our only land border with the MWPT and subsequently Great Morstaybishlia, we wish to construct a system of medium-scale hydroelectric dams. The power generated hear will connect to the rest of the MWPT and the Oan Isles via undersea cables.

We are open to any questions you may have about this project and we intend on sending detailed documents in the coming days. We simply require approval from Morstaybishlian authorities and we believe that in the midst of your nation’s political difficulties this diplomatic victory will benefit your nation – and your government – greatly. If you approve, I will personally fly to Morstaybishlia to sign the eventual deals that will arise from any negotiations.
