Introduction
As outlined in Community Standards, the following are not tolerated in our community, including but not limited to:
- Sharing of personal or private information.
- Irrelevant messages.
- Promotional content.
- Personal attacks, trolling, and abuse.
- Racism, sexism, and any other discrimination.
- Misinformation, spam, illegal activities, or trolling.
- Explicit, rude, or aggressive content.
Appeals
You may appeal a decision to the Moderation Team.
Bans
Moderation Team reserves bans for severe cases of violating the Community Standards. They are divided into three categories: COPPA, Permanent, and Temporary.
COPPA
A COPPA ban (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule) is a ban issued to any user that is suspected to be under the age of 13. This type of ban does not permit an appeal and could range from 3-5 years.
Permanent
A permanent ban is any ban that is issued without a specific timeframe. Appeal submissions are accepted after 1 year. We may sometimes remove users from our Discord Servers or Channels, but they retain access to all other parts of our community services.
Temporary
A temporary ban is any ban that is issued within a specific timeframe. Appeal submissions are accepted once half of the ban has been served. We may sometimes remove users from our Discord Servers or Channels, but they retain access to all other parts of our community services.
Debates & Politics
Debates & Politics (D&P) is an optional channel we offer to our community users that gives a place where users can express their opinions constructively. D&P users must follow Community Standards—specifically, no trolling. What one user might find humorous makes D&P a more toxic place. Troll opinions expressed will be treated as if a user genuinely believes them by the Moderation Team. Also, refrain from purposely baiting, personal attacks, or general provocative behaviors. The Moderation Team will not issue bans purely based on what political party a user may align with, however, we will not permit fascist, totalitarian, et cetera political parties to be used as a shield.
Users may have their access to D&P revoked at any time without warning.
Timeouts
From time to time Moderation Team members may need to issue timeouts to give a user more time to think before they type. It may also be used to suspend a user pending a moderative action. This could be up to one week and has no appeal option.
Warnings
The Moderation Team may issue Verbal, Unofficial, or Official Warnings. Repeat warnings will lead to a temporary ban of 3 months. Appeal submissions are accepted once half of the ban has been served.
