Somewhere high above the international waters coming up to the Vultucian airspace flies a RBA plane chartered for the Blueacian national team and their families, not far followed by the Royal plane for the Blueacian Royal family.
Some celebrations are going on in the plane with the national team. Most of the players are celebrating their first time in the World Cup as a player. The older players are a bit more quiet during the flight. They have been in the World Cup when Blueacia co-hosted it and came 4th, so those players know how difficult it is playing on the World stage with the best of the best players and virtually all nations looking on. In the front of the plane are the 3 coaches of the team. Salvador Antishvili the headcoach and his assistent coaches Maximilian Henderson and Reece Barnes.
The coaches tried to get a good mix of older more experienced players and younger talents. They we’re hoping they got the best team together. Salvador is a legend in Blueacia, he is the best player who ever came from the small nation. He started to play for Salovia, but played for Blueacia when Salovia broke up. He was talking with his assistents about the tactics for the squad which they hope will bring Blueacia far in the tournament. The PBFB (Blueacia’s national football organisation)
5 of the players in the current squad have been in the squad back in 2012 as well. Those players were playing cards together in between the coaches and the younger players, they were also telling memories of the matches back in 2012.
The younger players in the back are having a big party most of them never even dared to dream to be a World Cup player. Lots of beer is consumed and jokes are told. This has been going on eversince the plane departed for Vultuca.
Suddenly a voice comes over the speakers “Ladies and Getlemen, this is your captain speaking. In a few minutes we’ll start our final decend to the Leroy Kimmich International Airport of Vultuca. We will be closely followed by the Royal plane as you may know. This has a consequence that we can’t unboard right away but we have to wait for the Royal family to be so far as well. They will unboard first, as soon as the last foot of the Royal family touches Vultucan soil you are allowed to unboard as well. Then you’ll be able to get to the bus and go to the hotel booked for you. I have one last request though. Go and make us Blueacians prouder then we ever could be.”
Lots of cheering came from the back of the plane when the last request was made.
Few days later
This was the last training for the official opening of the World Cup, excitement was really building. After one of the hardest trainings until then the coach gave a speech:
“Boys… Man, this might be the hardest thing you ever did in your career. But I want you guys to know that I am already very proud of you guys. Sure in 2012 we came 4th, but we might have had a home advantage back then. This is the first time Blueacia qualified on the pitch for a World Cup. Whatever happend you guys are already legends in the eyes of most Blueacians. This doesn’t mean though that you guys can just sit around and act like this is a holliday. This is not the end of the journee, this is just the beginnig. I expect you guys to give 110% on the pitch as soon as the match starts until it’s over, if your tired be honest and don’t hold the team back. You guys didn’t do that during the qualifiers which made us qualify so don’t do it now and we’ll might just get far in the tournament. Now go and walk the training off and get yourself ready for our first match in a few days”
The three Morstaybishlian countries participating in the IFFA World Cup 2020 left the fatherland for Vultuca; a country not too familiar to the Aurorans for anything but football. This was the arena that men played in- the rivalry between Staynes and Vultuca was one of the biggest in the world.
The Staynish Football Team landed in Vultuca and departed the plane- a DF-211 model from East Cerdani. Some players and coaches greeted the press but in retrospect most of them darted away at the first sight of cameras. They were there to play football not to play politician or celebrity.
The Caltharusian Football Team and the South Staynish Football Teams arrived later; the players and staff from all three teams posted updates on social media as they trained and spent their few days in the capital, Alankää, in preparation for their group stages. Later on the lineups were released, an impressive turnout all round. The South Staynish team suffered a sprain injury for their first choice keeper in training, forcing him to the benches for their first leg match.
As the days and hours narrowed down the people in South Staynes and Caltharus anticipated the fixture that pitted the two nations of Great Morstaybishlia; a new but strong rivalry, people around the world took a note that it will be a game worth watching.
Eager fans anticipated that the Staynish would field this strong team, whilst the team was one of the stronger teams fielded by the Staynish in the last twenty years, three players stood out above all else; Riannar Kosan was a 24 year old that played for Bursil F.C. and was the top goalscorer in the Staynish Premier League, and Marlan Digosleigh, the first choice keeper, who was 28, was regarded as one of the worlds’ best goalkeepers of the 21st century, his cleansheet record was one to look out for. His talent would surely bring fame and fortune to the team, and Arran Salter, an all-round and versatile box-to-box player, who is capable of playing anywhere in midfield; throughout his career he has been deployed as a central midfielder, as an attacking midfielder, as a defensive midfielder, and even as a supporting striker on occasion. He has also been deployed as a deep-lying playmaker on occasion, in particular in his later years due to his ability to build attacks with his passing. A hard-working player, with notable stamina and an ability to read the game, Salter is also capable of functioning creatively and starting attacking plays or providing assists for teammates after winning back possession, due to his technique, vision, and passing range. In addition to his creative and defensive midfield duties, Salter also possesses a keen eye for goal, due to his ability to get forward and make late attacking runs from behind into the penalty area, or produce accurate and powerful shots from distance. These attributes have enabled Salter to maintain a prolific goalscoring record throughout his career, despite his deep playing position.

“Welcome all to the 2020 World Cup hosted in Vultuca, we are all expecting another amazing and unpredictable world cup just like back in 2016, today the first match of Group A and the first match of the entire world cup will be played between Vultuca and South Hills.”

Vultuca kick off with Haaland passing to Olofsson and going to the offensive immediately, but due to South Hills defense they are left in a possession game like they usually play, it seemed like every time Vultuca would push they would be all surrounded and had to go fall back, South Hills barely got any position.
During the 21 minute Vultuca had a corner and Felix headed it in but the South Hills Keeper blocked it.
Finally Vultuca took the lead from a Free kick in the 38 Minute from Ibrahimovic.
Half time

PENALTY IS TAKEN
but the Durakina Keeper stopped it from going in!
the match went very uneventful with no major counterattacks or any chances until the 88 minute, Durakia had their chance to pull ahead, they had a major counter attack against Kyrolth and with 3 strikers in the final 4th of the pitch and the kyrolthian defense trying to mark but they are struggling to do so, a cross from the left comes into the center striker who is only feets away from the net, he fires his shot

Oscrelia vs Asilica
Despite Aiilica having 65% of possession and 5 shots on goal, they only managed to score one goal in the 54th minute to beat Oscrelia
ASILICA 1, OSCRELIA 0: GREEN STARS WIN FIRST MATCH
NA SING SE, Vultuca-- It was a long match and at times it wasn’t very pretty, but the Green Stars of Asilica won their first Group E match on the 9th day of games at the 2020 World Cup in Vultuca.
There were five shots on goal from the Asilican side, and the Green Stars held over 65% possession, but only a shot from Romeo Thierse in the 54th minute ever actually landed in the goal. A strong defense from Asilica and poor footwork from Wolfgang Schaussbaum - who made three shots but landed none - both contributed to the long slog of a game. “I wouldn’t call it a pretty game,” said manager Elias Brucht, “but a win is a win and we’ll take it.” Romeo Thierse smiled and waved to the crowd as he walked back into the locker rooms, stopping to sign a few footballs from adoring young fans. Schaussbaum - who earned a few jeers as he walked back - made a point of avoiding reporters. Schaussbaum is the leading scorer in the history of Sugen United, and as Brucht is also his manager there he is sure to feel the sting of a poor game. “We all have off days,” said Brucht when asked about Schaussbaum. He declined to say more, but Brucht is famously hard-to-please - and he did a fair share of shouting on the sidelines.
Fans on the sideline dressed in green and white were excited for the victory regardless of how it looked, and several bars in the region after the game were awash with Asilican fans. “A win is a win,” said Marco Brizetti, 26, of Valladia, who said he came to Vultuca to watch the Green Stars “even though my girlfriend said she would leave me if I went. Cheers, Ingrid!” Brizetti had joined several Asilican fans in a bar in Na Sing Se called Faust, an Ethalrian-themed drinking house.
“This is gonna be our year,” said Brizetti over a flagon of Ethalrian Hefeweizen. “I had to be here. I just know it.”
