[POLITICS] Limboese left to form a new political alliance

Last night, the leaders of the left-wing parties and the main unions met for the fifth time in the former Sindex building in negotiations to form a political alliance. During the event, the leader of the Socialists, Maria Ram, officially declared the establishment of the United Popular Front.

The move comes after the far-right Alliance for Freedom party came in fourth place in local elections earlier this year.

[POLITICS] Remișceanu, fined for ligarchist propaganda

The leader of the Alliance for Freedom party, Mihai Remișceanu, was fined by prosecutors of the Limbo City Court for using and disseminating ligarchist propaganda during a speech given at the party’s Higher Serenities branch.

[INTERNAL] Amendment to the Protected Areas Law, adopted

The amendment to Law 425/2001, known as the Protected Areas Act, proposed by the Minister of the Environment, Bogdan Litrișec, passed the parliament with 97 votes in favor. This amendment increases the penalties for illegal logging, poaching or heavy pollution inside protected areas.

While previously a person could receive a fine of up to Б 15,000 or imprisonment between 3 months and 6 years, the new amendment increases the fine to Б 50,000 and imprisonment between 1 and 15 years.

Those who order such services will not be exempted either, and thus they will now receive penalties almost double that of poachers or loggers. In the case of companies, they will be required to pay a fine equal to at least a quarter of their turnover, and their taxes will be increased by 63%.

[SCI-TECH] CAPS, officially opened

LiSA announced that the new Center for Astrobiology and Planetary Science (known as CAPS) has been inaugurated in Herrera. The Administrator of the Limboese Space Agency, Petri John, stated during the opening ceremony of the center that the agency he leads has several projects in the works, including a new cosmodrome, most likely on Pine island.

In total, the investment cost over Б 1 billion.

[EXTERNAL] Dvergerland-Tiervan tensions rising?

Dvergerland Prime Minister Bjørn Varg accused the United Confederation of Concordian States of violating the IF Security Council resolution on Tiervan, according to NNN.

The UCCS government has reportedly tried, but unsuccessfully, to stop arms companies on its territory from selling weapons to the Tieresh government.

In a press release, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diplomacy, Maria Tonova, condemned the escalation of the situation and stated that “the only way to resolve this conflict is through diplomacy, not violence. A war will only lead to suffering for both peoples, not peace.”
