BARVATA DEFEATS JOHANNES
In what people are calling the most heated election in the last century, Walter Johannes and his conservative party are defeated by Franklin Barvata, whose Labour party won 380 seats in parliament to joist the former Prime Minister out of his lengthy 14 years of office.
Barvata will be given the keys to 1 Bursil Street tomorrow evening.
Johannes made a statement to the MBC saying he felt “utterly embarrassed”. His party lost the majority and now only has 320 seats in parliament. It is unclear whether Mr Johannes will stay as leader of the Conservative Party.
