Quickfix EPSA Act

Earlier this week, the EPSA received a request for assistance from our allies from the Europeian Republican Navy. The target was a splinter region which had broken off from them, poached from their RMB (RMB recruitment is against site rules too), and caused an exodus. IC splits instead of OOC. When their governor CTEd, this was their time to fight.

They invited the EPSA to join them as allies in arms. But we refused. We refused because we Could Not deploy under TEP law. There is nothing in the EPSA act which authorised this deployment to support our ally. This is despite us having a whole Resolution authorizing the deployment of EPSA against violators of TEP’s or TEP’s allies RMB . An exact scenario that this resolution was written for but nothing in the EPSA act to go with it.

The only provision in the EPSA act is if our ally is at war. However war is a dirty word. No one wants to go to war against a little region of double digits when your region has 4 digit numbers of nations. They don’t deserve the recognition.

In light of this, here are some quickfix amendments to update the EPSA act to bring it up to date with today’s standards.

Sound good to me

Support for very obvious reasons. Pending any objections, would like to see this put forward to a vote soon.

Support and Seconded

I do object to the DND clause – it seems to me like what it does is effectively keep TEP OOC admin out of the loop on what regions TEP is using OOC justifications to burn. Is it more efficient to not ask two different people for approval? Yeah, marginally. But also it literally takes two seconds (like this is not a hyperbole, we get a ping and almost immediately approve it in 9999/10000 cases) to get RAO approval AND it means that if a region comes to us and says hey TEP says X is OOC bad, what gives, our OOC admins actually know the answer. Full support for the other parts of the amendment though.

I object to a motion for vote at this time
