I decided to stay in my dorm, said my goodbyes to my new group, tidied up the place and washed the dishes. I grunted, coughed and closed the dormitory room after the last person left. I changed the curtains of my dorm to Staynish-Caltharusian colours, closed them, hesitantly dimmed the lights down, undressed to boxers, locked the door and tucked myself into bed.
“I’ve never been so glad to get some sleep.” I said to myself.
He panted hard, stopping midway to catch his breath. Running after Lily was tiring.
“How in the world does she have so much stamina?..”
Lily splashed into the sea and waded into the water. “It’s so awesome!! AHHH SOMETHING TOUCHED MY LEG- no wait, it’s just seaweed.” Athena calmly paddled around in a close orbit around the girl.
Once in his room, Jey opened up the slider to the balcony and checked outside. “Be sundown in about an hour or so. No need to put on sunscreen”. he thought to himself.
Stepping back inside he changed into his ‘tie-dyed’ boardshorts, he put the key to his dorm in the inner-mesh velcro-pocket. He decided to leave his phone and wallet in his room, since he was planning to jump into the ocean. Not bothering with footwear, he was used to walking barefoot at home. He closed and locked the slider and left the room after locking it as well.
Walking down the five flights of stairs, he almost got run over by an excited Lily and the fox as they rushed outside. He had to step aside again when someone came barrelling down the stairs right behind her.
“Kids these days!” he said as he shook his head in amusement.
Velhanz waded into the water and stood there for a while as he took in the surroundings. He got splashed by Lily as she played around in the water.
“Why you…” He smirked, splashing some water back at her, moving away a bit expecting a retaliation.
“Haha! Don’t come to the beach if you wanna stay dry!!” She teased. Athena had swam a meter away, and was fighting a seagull for a chunk of bread.
“If I wanted to stay dry, I wouldn’t have waded into the water in the first place!” He replied.
Jey stepped down onto the beach a little bit away from everyone. He stopped and dug his toes into the warm sand.
Closing his eyes with his head tilted back, he let the suns rays wash over him as he felt the wind and listened to the surf gently lapping at the shore.
Sighing softly, he just simply relaxed and enjoyed the moment of calm serenity. Even the talking and laughing he could hear a distance away, could not distract from this peace.
Alexi dashed across and on the the vast, soft expanse of the beach. He saw Velhanz and Lily splashing around in the water ahead.
He wandered down to the water to join them taking a good look at the beautiful Tilden landscape before him.
“This place is like, ridiculously pretty!! The water is so clear! It’s sooo waaarrmmm!!!” She bounded out of the water and back onto the sand and twirled around under the sun’s evening rays.
Flexing his legs slightly, Jey opened his eyes. Looking at the clear water, he nodded to himself. Like a shot, he took off running full out. Running into the water until it hit his knees, with a joyful shout, a leap and a twist, he landed with a big splash on his back with his arms spread out.
Comming up for air, he started to swim up the shoreline toward the people gathered on the beach.
He dove into the water, surfacing a few feet away. “I’m going to take a swim for a bit and then come back!” with that, he started swimming around. After a few minutes of practicing his strokes he swam back to land to dry off.
Melor sighed, while examining a coin and muttering a riddle to himself. He was exhausted from the long trip in a confined space. Luckily, the taxi driver had stopped talking to him a little while ago. The man was far too social for Melor’s liking, and his prattle had made this almost intolerable ride even more unbearable. The only thing that kept Melor going was the scenery. At least the Tilden Isle had a rural beauty to match even the loveliest forests of Stratarin.
Finally, the taxi stopped. Melor payed the driver and exited the vehicle. The driver followed.
“Do you need help carrying your belongings, young master?” he asked.
Melor inwardly snarled at the word ‘young,’ but managed a forced smile. “Nyet, I can take it from here. Spasibo,” he answered, mostly in Common.
The driver nodded, and after Melor procured his two suitcases and backpack, he drove off.
Melor took a moment to look at the building. Judging by outward appearance, it was rather advanced, but he couldn’t decide whether he liked its look or not. It would have to, though, as he’d be living here for the next howeverlong.
He hoped there was decent air conditioning, though, for this place was much hotter than the cold of Stratarin.
As he walked towards his new home, he heard the faint sound of merriment coming from the beach. He instantly felt a twinge of loneliness, as this reminded him of Cyzarine. The times they’d had…
He physically shook himself to dispel the thought and muttered, “The past is behind you. The future is your goal.”
After signing in and preparing himself some Kvas, a most delicious Strataric beverage, he walked into his dorm. Thank goodness it was his alone, and not shared with some annoying teen.
He smiled for a brief moment as he started unloading his few personal belongings. After finishing his Kvas, he lay down on his bed and rested.
Melor is a bright, yet slightly depressed, young man. He has studied political science to some extent, and particularly enjoys military history. He was sent to the academy by his father, a somewhat prominent Strataric general, to make his way into the world. He is a little lonely, and misses a few people back home, but copes best by himself, nigh addicted to drinking Kvas. He has danced in the past with some success, but studying has taken its place as his primary hobby. He has an athletic body shape.

An errant ice cream truck made it’s way along the road behind students, and Lily ran after it with a money-stocked hand extended.
Velhanz sat down in the warm sand near the bonfire site and looked at the ocean, he listened to music on his Shony Walker. His towel was still wrapped around his neck and the white color made him stick out.
Andrew watched the bonfire (he had kindly denied the invitation) from his dorm, and smiled as Lily ran after an ice cream truck that happened to be nearby.
Melor stretched and walked down the hall to the kitchenette, preparing himself something to eat. He was famished.
“Dammit. All that noise and I’ll never be able to sleep.” I murmured quietly.
I decided to go for something to eat. I hadn’t exactly eaten anything big since I had arrived, and my stomach was growling.
“Uh…” I groaned. Putting my clothes on, I walked to the door, where the key was still in the lock. I twisted it twice, noticing it was a double lock mechanism.
“Hmm. That’s cool.” I noted to myself.
I walked down the corridor, into the Kitchenette. I noticed another person had the same intentions. He looked alright, and was probably in his dorm all the time.
“Hello!” I uttered.
Alexi swung around, noticing lily chasing after the ice-cream truck behind him. He patted his trunks, finding his phone sealed within the lower pocket.
“I hope they accept wireless payment,” Alexi muttered under his breath, jogging leisurely up to the now stationary truck where Lily now stood.
Jey leisurely swam up the shore until it got to shallow to swim. Standing up, letting the water cascade down his body, he walked out of the surf onto the beach proper. Taking the time to shake the water out of his long hair, he looked around. He spotted people who he met up in his dorms corridor sitting around or chasing down an ice-cream truck?
“Huh, imagine that.” he mumbled to himself.
Looking around, he saw some girls and guys he has not met talking around one of the fire-pits. He casually strolled over to introduce himself.
“G’day! I’m Jeymi or ‘Jey’ either or, I be answerin’ to both,” he started. “I be up in tha Wachin Dorms there,” he pointed out. His Codexian/Dragonia accent a little more pronounced with bit of nervousness he is feeling.
