A local fast food restaurant in Pingjing has announced that they will impose time limits for patrons who wish to eat at their premise.

Yang’s Seafood Restaurant has seen an unexpected increase in unwanted visitors who use the premise to take a quick nap there.

Management at the restaurant has imposed new rules ensuring that diners do not spend more than 45 minutes per session. Those carrying large backpacks will also be refused entry as many of those taking a kip often carry large bags.

A dozen patrons have been rejected from Yang’s Seafood Restaurant a day after time limits were imposed on them.

The time limits for each session were imposed after the restaurant was used by visitors to take a quick nap there, causing discomfort amongst patrons. Management has also required guests to reserve tables 1 week before they eat at the premise.

Filming and taking pictures are also prohibited as management believe that photography dilutes the overall experience of dining at their premise.

An electric ferry that was stationed in Hong Kan and was attacked by Kashgar youths, will set sail on 19th May.

The entirely electrically powered ferry was damaged with bottles and stones when the youths complained of the noise as well as its presence. None of the youths have been caught…

Kashgar leader Jumyri Andropev has ruled out meeting with any Bai Lungese politicians from the mainland, re-affirming his objective to oust all Bai Lungese from the region.

10 PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR SUSPECTED DINE AND DASH AT YANG’S SEAFOOD RESTAURANT.

10 people have been arrested on suspicion of eating at Yang’s Seafood Restaurant without paying for it.

The 10 people, spread across 3 groups, dined at the restaurant and fled the premise without paying for it. CCTV footage of the offenders helped the police with identifying the suspects. The offenses were committed over a 48 hour period.

The arrested came nearly a week after the restaurant banned people from napping at their premise.

STREET PERFORMER CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED ARSON.

A street busker has been charged with 1 count of attempt arson by wearing a burning headgear on his head but did not intend to ignite anything.

Li Bùlǎng was performing shock rock songs in Pingjing city centre. Bystanders complained to police that Mr Li was attempting to set fire to buildings during his performance.

Despite denying any intent to burn anything, he was arrested and formally charged with attempted arson. A court date for his charge is yet to be formalised.

STREET PERFORMER GRANTED BAIL.

Street busker Li Bùlǎng has been granted bail after being charged with attempt arson due to him wearing a flaming headgear on his head.

Mr Li will attend the Pingjing District Court on 10th August to face charges of attempted arson.

As a condition for his bail, Mr Li will not be allowed to perform music in public until the court case reaches its conclusion should he be found not guilty.

BOXER LAMBASTS VENUE FOR URINE SMELL.

Heavyweight boxer Liang Zīwǎ has lambasted the Gold Star Arena in Pingjing for smelling like urine.

The boxer is due to fight Hu Tǎmǔ on 30th May this year.

During a press conference, the outspoken boxer has claimed that every part of the venue smelled of urine including the lift which connects to his hotel room. He suggested that Hu was drinking too much and urinated all over the venue in an attempt to gain an advantage over him.

URINE SMELL IN ARENA UNFOUNDED.

Senior organisers of the Gold Star Arena in Pingjing has defended the condition of their venue a day after boxer Liang Zīwǎ claimed the place smelled of urine.

Mr Liang, a heavyweight boxer with a 20-2-1 record, complained that the lift and the main concourse smelled of urine and made a jibe that his opponent Hu Tǎmǔ urinated in the venue to put him off.

Gold Star general manager Gao Xiónghóng has defended his venue as being one of the cleanest in the country and invited Mr Liang to visit the venue’s restaurants where the smell of fresh food only exists.

One of the ten people accused of dine and dashing at Yang’s Seafood Restaurant last week has admitted to committing the act in protest of their anti-loitering policy.

Tien Fēngfēi has admitted to eating to eating and not paying BL$100 worth of food at the restaurant because he found the restaurant’s policy of not allowing patrons to have a kip as “evil”.

Mr Tien and the other 9 suspects will attend the Pingjing District Court on 1st June.

PRESIDENT GONG DENIES BLOCKING LANDSLIDE INCIDENT FIGURES.

President Gong Chūrù has denied block the National Geotechnical Engineering Bureau from publicly releasing their annual statistics of landslides in the country.

The report, which is due to be released on 30th May, was ordered by the President to delay its public release due to faults to the 300 reported incidents from April 2024-Apriil 25.

President Gong has confirmed that the 30th May release date will not happen but denies censorship claims, adding that the report was released far too quickly due to the last cutoff date if any landslides occured and the release schedule.

FRUIT SELLER IMPERSONATOR JAILED FOR 10 YEARS FOR THEFT AND FRAUD.

A thief who impersonated fruit seller and stole over BL$10,000 from elderly buyers has been jailed for 10 years in prison.

Mǎ Niàoshuǐ admitted to selling fake durians to unsuspecting buyers and then pickpocketing them. Mr Ma committed the thefts between January 2021 and March 2023.

The Pingjing High Court has also ordered Mr Ma to pray BL$20,000 in fines for his role.

A patient being treated for brain cancer has been arrested by police for assaulting 5 fellow patients and 2 nurses.

Zhang Yīsà threw punches, threw medical equipment and spat at his victims. Reportedly, Mr Zhang’s actions were caused when his doctor was told his brain cancer is non-curable.

12 people have been arrested in Pingjing for starting a mini riot after accusing each other of skipping the queue at the giant panda exhibit.

Last week, the 6 month old giant panda Dōngshēng made his public debut. Over 500,000 people viewed him in his first day. Viewing sessions were limited to 3 minutes per person with bookings limited to online only.

In what began as a fracas, 12 people accused each other of skipping the queue and escalated into a mini riot when one of the zoo goer chucked a bottle of water into another, resulting in fisticuffs.

NAVY TALL SHIP ATTACKED BY KASHGAR YOUTHS.

A navy tall ship festooned with lights and a giant flag of Bai Lung has been attacked by Kashgar youths.

The Yuanchang, built in 1981, was due to be deployed to Port Sung in time for the yearly dragon boat festival.

However, plans to deploy it remain in doubt after youths threw molotov cocktails at the ship, causing damage to the ship’s surface. The fire was put out but efforts to clean out burn marks on the ship will take weeks.

TV personality Bai Tiántāng has defended his decision to show a scene that caused controversy amongst some viewers of his programme.

Bai’s Food Tour showed local villagers chopping up a python who recently swallowed a cat. Instead of taking out the partially digested remains of the feline, the villagers simply cooked everything. They then consumed the dish with one villager saying they are eating two meals for the price of one.

The programme received over 200 complaints due to its disgusting nature.

TV personality Bai Tiántāng has gained some of the largest viewing figures for his Bai’s Foor Tour tv show.

Despite a controversial scene with him eating a snake which also ate a cat, the episode attracted over 20 million viewers, making his episode the most watched episode of Bai’s show, now in its 9th year.

Bai said on BL National Radio that he could have included a viewer discretion warning before broadcasting it.

President Gong Chūrù has warned that he will veto any legislation which authorises a sporting body of humanised robot fighting competitions with public money.

This week saw two robots shaped like humans fighting each other at New Hangzhou Universit in the very first robot combat tournament there. The sport gained a massive following afterwards with some lawmakers seeing its potential impact in Bai Lungese society.

But President Gong has warned lawmakers that it is not in the public’s interest to use their money to fund the sport and will veto such legislation.

Amateur video footage shows the two side taunting each other before throwing objects at each other. The fight was dispersed when security separated the two groups.

The final weigh in of heavyweight boxers Liang Zīwǎ and Hu Tǎmǔ has ended in a brawl between both camps.

Both men, standing a 6 feet and 2 inches, made the final measurement before the fight at the Gold Star Arena on 30th May. Liang weighed 91.5 kg, 100 grams heavier than the much favoured Hu who weighed 91.4 kg.

Harsh words were exchanged before Hu slapped Liang in the left cheek resulting in a mass brawl between both camps.
