Kashgar leader Jumyri Andropev has intiated a ‘Refusal to surrender’ protest by singing Kashgar folk songs with anti-Bai Lungese lyrics, many of which have been compositions decades old.
Vowing to sing one of these songs before an audience, Andropev has also pledged to set fire to an object made in the mainland.
Andropev’s protest comes a day after President Gong Chūrù called for the leader to surrender and accept integration within the Kashgar community.

A top class fencer has been suspended by the Bai Lungese Fencing Association on suspicion of using performance enchancing drugs.
Yong Gēsī, a 10 time youth fencing champ, had traces of various banned substances in his urine sample, necessitating his suspension.
Mr Yong will attend a disciplinary hearing on 30th July this year where he will defend himself against the charges.

A university student has been jailed for 25 years in prison for running a bogus life insurance policy over a 2 year period.
Tang Xióngpéng was found guilty on 10,000 counts of stealing an average of BL$100 per pensioner by promising huge payouts if they are involved in an accident. When one pensioner injured himself from a fall, he demanded Tang to pay him BL$10,000 as promised in his life insurance policy but he refused. The elderly then reported this scam to the police in July 2024, leading toTang’s arrest.
The Pingjing High Court learned that 21 year old Mr Tang stole a total of over BL$1.1 million and ordered him to pay back the amount to his victims or his victim’s next of kin.

The venue announced that all events held at the venue from August to September will get a 10% discount including VIP tickets.
As soon as the site opened up the offer on midnight, the website crashed within 1 minute after millions of users logged in to redeem the offer. Organisers have since apologised to those unable to redeem the offer.

20 rolled up bags containing ketamine have been found inside several frozen caught fish at a boat docked at Port Sung’s Central Pier.
Police received a tip-off from an anonymous source claiming that a local drug dealer placed an order of ketamine with intent to sell them to Port Sung residents.
The drugs were found inside several frozen fish stored in sealed crates. Police have launched a manhunt to find the traffickers.

TV personality Cai Lúnjiā has been arrested by police for predicting that Bai Lung will experience a tsunami and an earthquake sometime in July.

A man has been arrested for attempting to strangle Cui councillor Lai Màidài whist holding a surgery.
The would be assassin, identified as 20 year old Lin Zhádài tried to strangulate Lai with a cable tie whilst speaking to a constituent. The cable tie snapped, forcing Mr Lin to flee.
Mr Lin was found at his parent’s house in Pingjing, 12 hours after the incident.
