TWO NEIGHBOURS FINED AND JAILED FOR FIGHTING OVER AIR CON FEUD.

Two neighbours have been handed jail sentences of a year and a BL$10,000 fine each for engaging in a public brawl involving a dispute over an air conditioner.

Tien Hāěr kicked and wrestled with Li Yàtè in August 2024 after Li refused to fix his air conditioner which was making a loud rattling noise. Both men lived in Fu Tien flats in Pingjing.

Whilst Tien expressed remorse for his actions, Li remained defiant in his steadfast refusal to fix his air conditioner and vowed to keep it as it is.

KASHGAR MAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING SOY BEAN PLANTS IN GREATER UZBARI FARM.

A Kashgar man has been arrested for stealing dozens of soy bean plants at a farm in Jiékè Sēn area of Uzbari.

Alexandre Sokoloff entered a farm owned by businessman Lin Luòfū and helped himself to take soy bean plants with intent to grow the crops himself.

Private security caught the 20 year old and handed him over to the police. Mr Lin himself was not at his farm when Sokoloff committed the crime.

SECURITY GUARDS THWART WATCH HEIST PLOT.

Security personel at Tang’s Watch Shop has thwarted a robbery attempt of several luxury watches worth millions at the Pingjing store.

The guards became quickly suspicious when two men turned up with rucksacks and a balaclava. One of the men had his balaclava hanging from his pocket, resulting the security sounding the alarm.

The men surrendered realising they had no Plan B. The pair were subsequently arrested for conspiring to burglarise the premise.

A majority of online voters have chosen the jungle green tie as the preferred choice of tie for President Gong Chūrù’s 4th policy address.

The shade of green got 55% of the vote, compared to 30% for light green and 15% went to forest green.

President Gong has thanked the public for having a say on his choice of clothing for his upcoming address, due to be held on 15th October.

PEARL SCULPTURE REBUILD TO BE UNVEILED TOMORROW.

A much beloved sculpture located in New Xinjiang that was vandalised by Kashgar extremist has been fully restored with the unveiling of the sculpture due to be unveiled tomorrow.

Created in 1980 by artist Chang Sāngní, the spherical shaped sculpture is made out of steel and decorated with pearls. It was vandalised by Kashgar extremists in January 2023. The sculpture was relocated to a nearby warehouse owned by Chang who then started a fundraiser to restore the sculpture to its former glory.

Taking over 2 years to restore under the supervision of 75 year old Chang, the restored sculpture will be unveiled at the Sanchuan Boardwalk, the location of the vandalism.

NEWLY RESTORED PEARL SCULPTURE ATTENDED BY 5,000 PEOPLE.

The much beloved spherical shaped sculpture partly made out of pearls has been unveiled at the Sanchuan Boardwalk in New Xinjiang by the artist Chang Sāngní, drawing a massive crowd of over 5,000.

The event had heavily security due to the possible attack on the sculpture. Presence of heavy security was justified when one Kashgar man had been detained by police for possessing a crowbar, a makeshift catapult and stones.

Mr Chang held a Q and A session during the unveiling. He revealed that it took him 20 months to restore and raised over BL$30,0000 within a matter of 2 weeks.

TAXI DRIVER FENDS OFF SCIMITAR WIELDING KASHGAR BECOMES VIRAL HIT.

A video released online showing a taxi driver fending off a scimitar wielding Kashgar youth has become a viral hit online.

Gaining over 7 million views, a taxi cab parked in Jade Bird Street was attacked by a youth using a scimitar and proceeded to create dents on the vehicle.

Undettered by the attack, the unnamed cabbie grabbed the youth by the arm, forcing him to disarm. The cabbie repeatedly smashed the youth in the face with his metallic lunchbox, causing the youth to flee.

PRESIDENT GONG THREATENS TO IMPOSE ADDITIONAL ROUND OF CURFEWS IN SING REN FOLLOWING DAY OF LEFTIST RIOTING.

President Gong Chūrù has threatened to impose another round of curfews on the city of Sing Ren unless the rioting ends.

A politically active city with a reputation of being a leftist stronghold, Sing Ren has seen frequent protests by left wing activist in opposition to corporations and right wing governments. Many activists have even labelled the Labour Party as a right wing party. The city has also seen frequent rioting, leading to Presidents of Bai Lung forcing curfews as a countermeasure against the rampant rioting.

The latest riot saw 2 councillor cars vandalised by the activists. President Gong has called for calm and warned that another 72 hour curfew is on the table along with sending the military there to quell rioting.

2026 PINGJING MARATHON ONLINE APPLICATION FACES CRITICISM.

The Pingjing Marathon website has been strongly criticised by prospective runners wishing to apply for the 2026 event which is scheduled to be held on 26th January which saw it crash due to heavy traffic.

Today saw the application window open but those wishing to apply reported complaints of their offical website failing to load the application page.

Last year saw over 300,000 applicants fighting for 100,000 spots in this years event. Organisers say that over half a million will be applying.

**PINGJING MARATHON TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR SUSPENDED BY ORGANISERS .**

The Pingjing Marathon Tournament Director Liang Kǎotè has been suspended by the event’s board panel after posting a series of offensive online messages.

Mr Liang made a series of threatening remarks to prospective runners who were unable to access the online application forms due to heavy traffic. He suggested that those complain about losing out would be jailed and possibly tortured by the military if this was back in the 60’s.

The Pingjing Marathon board panel has voted to suspend Mr Liang for what they described as “brazenly wreckless language with intent to incite violence towards a large segment of the Bai Lungese population.”.

**MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING PERSON WITH BIKE.**

A man has been arrested in Huang Feng Park in Sing Ren in an apparently dispute over a bike path dispute.

Cyclist Bao Jiéfú narrowly avoided collided Lin Lǐsī, who was walking on the bike lane. This incident angered Bao who then kicked Lin to the ground and bashed him with his own bike before fleeing from the scene.

Mr Bao was arrested in his Sing Ren house some 24 hours later after Mr Lin gave a description of his attacker.

A man has been arrested for selling fake gold coins with the mid autumn festival as its theme.

Guo Kǎmén sold the fake coins to many elderly residents for a price of BL$1,000. One of the buyers became suspicious when the gold painting started to peel off.

Mr Guo also faces one count of assault for shoving a police officer during his arrest.

Etomidate is to blame for the 200% increase in youth arrest during first half of 2025.

Despite a 10% drop in overall drug use, there were over 210 cases of etomidate drug use from under 21, up from 104 cases for the entirety of 2024.

The drug is likely to have been smuggled in from shipping container and stuffed inside vaping devices due to the small size of the drugs.

**CLEAN WATER ACT IS REPEALED.**

Nations will be allowed to enact their own water policies in the mean time due to the repeal of the Clean Water Act at the World Assembly.

The World Assembly 7,534 votes to 3,280 with Bai Lung being amongst the nations to vote for repeal.

Reasons for repeal is due to Clause 1 of the now repealed resolution which does not permit any contamination of water including uch as using dyes to track pollutants or treatments to prevent disease and eradicate parasites.

SANGUO SHAN COUNCILLOR SUSPENDED FROM OFFICE.

A Sanguo Shan councillor has been suspended from office for advocating the legalisation of etomidate.

Tang Yīpǔ, a Conservative, had called for President Gong Chūrù to consider taxing and legalising the drug in response to the surge of its use by under 21s .

Many members of the public had condemned Tang’s opnions and called for his expulsion from the council. The Sanguo Shan has unanimously voted for suspend Mr Tang until further notice 48 hours after making the comments.

Dà Wǎng MLA Wen Cháoxī will not stand for re-election in the 2026 election.

Despite it’s reputation as a safe Conservative seat, Mr Wen said his duties as a public servant has run its course and offered his blessing to his successor.

Mr Wen was first election in 2010 with 55% of the vote, his closest in his career. His best result was last year when he was unanimously re-elected.
