Dorlania and Vulshain

“Slavery was offically abolished in 1869, but no sir. Not after public opinion and the work generated became wasted it was abolished, so not really. Abolitionists were silenced under imperial order”

Yalela nodded. She didn’t like the way he said that abolitionists were silenced under imperial order. Vaska asked, “So, what caused slavery to be abolished in 1869? Were there mass slave revolts, changes in the government, or religious groups pressuring politicians to end slavery?”

“The slave revolts that did happen ended in bloody endings. Plus, not many if any religious groups had any say” “People started to find it useless, other nations wouldn’t buy or sell to us. So we abolished it for economic stability”

“That makes sense, although, the fact that religious groups hardly had any say in the matter is troubling, not to mention the fact that the slave revolts didn’t end peacefully,” Vaska thought.

The three Vulshainians didn’t ask any questions in order to allow the tour to continue.

“Riots also broke out from 1870-1871 over better living conditions, not the head of state being changing from Autarch to Kaiser, most of these ended with Imperial troops firong upon them”

“Seems Dorlania used violence to solve all of its problems,” Vaska said to Eszter and Yalela who both nodded.

Eszter then asked the Kaiser, “So, how peaceful has your reign been?” She was hoping that this leader didn’t repeat the same mistakes and actions as those who came before him made.

“Somewhat, besides the organized street warfare between parties, and the IMOIA. Been pretty good” “By the time of Kaiser Daiskerin, he intended to end the harsh ecomomic and political lifestyle felt by millions, it was up until 1914 Dorkania had engaged in full-scale war. In alliannce with Germamy and Central Powers, we were sucked into WWI. Now before we move on take some time to see the exhibits”

“Organized street warfare!?” All three Vulshainians were shocked by this. They were also worried about what IMOIA meant. Vaska and Yalela looked at an exhibit featuring Dorlania during WWI.

“Its mainly between the National Socialists and Workerists, the Fascist said “fuck it” and began to police both of them” “And at our right we have a MG08 found near Tannenberg, aswell a collection of rilfes and uniforms”

The Vulshainians were understood that attracting foreign businesses was important. Eszter asked, “So, by the way, have you ever thought of having, I don’t know, um…more democratic non-fascist parties to run in your government? Might offer some variety to Dorlania. Also, I hope you don’t use force to put down protestors and such, but instead talk with them and see what they want and try to do what you can to help them.”

“There are non-fascist parties in Dorlania. Such as the Workerists and Socialist Alliance, besides we do have a national parliament that does have elections. Problem is the conservatives in the party don’t want to become weak, besides the Kaiser being Fascist. Most protests are ignored unless important, such as political and ecnomic stability, Riots are brought down with force”

“I see,” Eszter said. The three Vulshainians were experiencing a bit of culture shock, as fascism was greatly disliked in Vulshain, due to Merrill Rivers’ Republican Regime. Still, they were smart enough to keep their opinions to themselves.

Vaska then asked, “After this, I hope to see what your soldiers look like.”

OOC: I’m guessing they wear outfits similar to the Helghast from the Killzone series huh?

OOC: Think Wehrmacht and modern US uniforms

“Of course. The miltary is one our pride and joys”

“Same here,” Vaska said. “We have many unique equipment, such as the CBA, or Confederate Battlesuit Armor.” The Vulshainians then continued following the tour.

OOC: The CBA is very similar to the armor worn by the Orbital Shock Troopers from the Halo series. nswiki.net

This is an early model of the CBA.

OOC: Interesting, we have power armor like the ones in Fallout ca
lled Personal Calvary Armor, more like a thinned out version of T-45d

IC: "We also have unique equipment, such as the PCA or Personal Calvary Armor. Current model is PI-92A

Vaska nodded. “I see.” Vaska wondered what the armor looked like as he went back to listening to the tour guide.

“You’ll also see what our militay is also currently fielding”
“Now by 1918, Dorlania pulled out after nearly 690,000 casualities, leaving the Central Powers alone. With a devastated economy plunging into recession, the next 6 years were brutal. Famine, inflation, and supply shortages led to the 1st Dorlanian Civil War”

The Vulshainians listened intently to what was being said, with Yalela jotting down notes about the history of Dorlania. It was necessary to learn as much as they could about Dorlania.

“The workerists, ones who wanted democracy, and a bit more government
regulation in the economy, revolted in every major city. With half of the nation deep in Workerist control by 1926. By 1925 the war had already cost 250,000 lives. With weapons such as Flamethrowers and gas, it soon became a trench war”

“So were there any periods in recent Dorlanian history that wasn’t filled with violence,” Eszter asked.
