DEAL DONE: BARVATA AND SAROHART
Earlier this month, the President of the new North Ethalrian Confederacy Clauzia Sarohart reached out to Prime Minister Barvata to negotiate a deal which would see the NEC have access to sea ports via the Ider River to send exports and receive imports from countries across the world. The Labour Government agreed to it under the condition the NEC pays the sum of 1.5 billion Kiribs per annum to the Government of Great Morstaybishlia which could then be re-invested into the education system.
Critics have pointed out the controversial decision by saying that by allowing an Ethalrian nation access to the world- its economy and therefore its military will grow. Barvata defended his decision by saying:
"We think it’s a great decision, it allows additional funds to be re-invested into the education and social welfare programs, it is what this country needs. I have my full confidence in our southerly leader Clauzia Sarohart.
VULPINES FURIOUS AT CONSERVATIVE LEADER AFTER RACISM ALLEGATIONS
After Walter Johannes announced his temporary retirement from politics, the conservative party was thrusted into a debilitating turn of events, the party being torn down the line between choosing a traditionalist and liberal candidate to fill Johannes’ boots. Berowalt Ase, the traditionalist one-nation conservative persevered, carving out the future plans for the conservative party.
Berowalt Ase has been under heavy scrutiny for a racist comment that was made during a party conference in Witsburg House, Sani Bursil, for using the term “fox people” to refer to the native Vulpine population. He has since been told to resign. More on this story as it develops.

FLOODING CAUSING SERIOUS PROBLEMS
The storm is ripping through Aurora like a lion into the hind of a zebra; traffic closures, a rise in accidents and severe flooding to some rural communities within the Nepiditras Depression of Caltharus (at 79 m below sea level) who have had to abandon their homes and seek emergency shelter, to which the government has proudly responded. Rivers and storm drains are near full capacity, with flooding caused by overflow in some areas. Within the first few days, local authorities from across central aurora have counted 7 deaths and 35 injuries.
