The Packilvanian Armed Forces has announced that it has successfully tested a 5th generation nuclear warhead in Wusul Kabir.
The warhead has a much higher force yield and impact radius, increasing at 15% and 8% respectively.
The PAF states that these new nuclear warheads strengthen the countryâs nuclear arsenal and force projection capabilities.
The PAF stated emphatically that Packilvania will only use nuclear weapons when it is struck first and will not use nuclear warheads to attack another nation.
The PAF stated that the nuclear waste generated by the test will be safely stored and processed to prevent contamination of natural resources and negative effects on sapient and animal health.
The PAF has stated that Packilvania does not recognise international moratoria and conventions on non-proliferation and will continue to develop nuclear warheads in line with its rights as a sovereign state.
The Packilvanian Department of Trade (DOT) has announced that new tariffs will be imposed on the import of electronic waste (e-waste) starting 1 June 2021. DOT released a comprehensive tariff schedule which will charge different rates for different types of e-waste products which is available on dot.gov.pax. However, there will be an increase of existing tariffs by 30%.
The DOT stated that the government wants to reduce the contamination of water, soil and air arising from the processing of the chemicals and heavy metals present in e-waste. E-waste has resulted in ecological and health issues for the people of Packilvania.
This will impact electronics manufacturers such as Damehowe (from Great Morstaybishlia), ICM (from Tretrid), and Cluster (from Aponivia) as over 70% of e-waste is processed in Packilvania due to competitive labour, energy and water costs and regulations.Â
The Packilvanian Central Bank has announced that new currency regulations will be imposed on 1 June 2021.
The Packilvanian Currency Exchange Bureau (owned by the PCB) which has branches around the world to enable companies and individuals to convert Packilvanian dinars to local currencies and vice versa will increase the amount of dinars available for exchange everyday.
Unlike most countries where currency is purchased on an open market, those who want Packilvanian dinars must buy them on auction from the PCEB, with a fixed amount made available for purchase through instruments called Currency Certificates. By increasing the amount of currency made available, the value of the currency decreases as bidders need to put up less local currency to afford dinars.
This is done to make Packilvanian exports more globally competitive.
