“Ah, I get that. To us, you’ll just be good ol’ Vel.” Athena barked in agreement.
Velhan smiled, “Thanks, it’s been a while since anyone treated me not like some celebrity. Really refreshing too.”
“You’ll get used to it. How about some fine Hobsti Tea?” She held up the kettle, which Athena then tried to lick.
“Sure, that would be nice” He replied
“Hi Alexi, I’ve got some Hobsti-Tea. Wanna come along?” I replied, soon after Lily brought a kettle back to the hallway.
“Great! I have also packed 6 Dumselof Cups, traditional Southern Staynish pottery not to be mistaken with South Staynes! They’re rather small but you think they’ll do?” I asked eagerly.
“Ooh nice! I’ve tried hobsti-tea once before” Alexi replied, taking a swig from his water. “I’m from Axdel by the way, If you couldn’t tell from my accent.”
I gave Alexi a concerned look, followed by recognition.
“Ah! I didn’t even think about accents! I mean, I recognised it but, well. Fair enough. Hello neighbour twice over!” I remarked.
“Great. Well, we can set it up in my room if you like?” I asked, waiting for a response.
“No objections here” said Alexi agreeingly
“Well, what are we waiting for?” I announced, with agreement. I allowed the now gathered ‘crowd’ to enter my room, holding the door for them. Lily chose the most convenient plug and put the kettle on. I took out several cups and placed them on the side, following by putting Hobsti-Tea in all.
“Does anyone take sugars?” I asked.[edit_reason]I pressed a button by accident[/edit_reason]
“Sugars? No thanks, i’m fine” Velhanz replied.
“No sugar for me thank you”
“Oh, I love sugar.” Athena also expressed her appreciation for sugar by attempting to steal several bites of it.
“Alrighty.” I exclaimed sarcastically after looking at the fox. I poured the group the drinks, and handed them over.
“Do you guys know anything about Hobstiberries?” I asked, whilst I took a sip myself. I hinted to the milk, which was on the side, which Lily had put there.
“I’d say the drink tastes better without the milk but all to their own I guess.”
Velhanz took a sip of the tea and was surprised by the taste, “It tastes quite different from other types of tea, tastes good too.”
She sipped it and smiled. “Mmm! It’s great, Sammi.”
Alexi blew gently on the tea to cool it, before taking a sip.
“Fruity! This is nice stuff sam!”
“Oh! I almost forgot…” Lily reached into her purse and pulled out a dozen sugar cookies. “Now it’s a real feast!” Athena managed to nuzzle open the box, and took a cookie.
Velhanz looked at Lily with confusion on how someone could consume so much sugar and be fine right after. Anyhow, he accepted a cookie and ate it after taking another sip of tea. He took off his white dress gloves which were being a bother at the moment and shoved them into his pants pocket.
Andrew gladly accepted the cookie. He enjoyed the cookie, which was crisp on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside.
Lily, desperate to end the silence, said, “So what are you guys here to study?”
