Notice: this forum thread remains open to any and all types of posts throughout the year, including during registration and during the season.

Silly Season begins in S1… Registration (1st round)

Teams and race tracks that participated in the 2024 season confirm if they remain in the championship for 2025.

Teams: must post in this thread at least once, and include the names, nationality, and gender, of their two drivers (or at least the two drivers who start the season, Metropol). Additionally for this year: include whether the team is a factory team (makes their own engines, the team is typically attached to a road car manufacturer, e.g. Mercedes), or a customer team (buys their engines from a factory, e.g. McLaren who buy their engines from Mercedes. Customer teams should include who they’re buying their engines from. NB. Engine providers do not need to have their own S1 teams.)

Race tracks: confirm they are returning by going to this spreadsheet, finding their track, and replacing the “TBD” with “Returning”. Please also update any race information (city, track name, sponsorships, etc.) if there are gaps in the spreadsheet.

New race tracks: can claim any of the Available tracks by adding race information and replacing the “Available” with “Claimed”. Please note the real-life locations of the tracks so you don’t accidentally claim a desert track for your tundra nation. N.B. nations that already have a grand prix on the calendar cannot claim a new one. RPers that already have a grand prix can, for one of their other nations. (Please be reasonable about this; there is no official limit on this but only in the Don’t Make Us Put Limits On This way.)

The first round of registration ends on Saturday February 1st. Any existing teams and tracks who have not confirmed their place by then will be removed.

OOC Notice: As always, Series One operates on a “posts = performance” principle. To keep things fresh and reward those who care and put effort in, how competitive each team will be over the 2025 season is determined by how active its RPers have been in the world of S1.

Metropol’s Push for Podium

Metropol has undoubtedly turned some heads over the course of the three season’s they’ve been in Series 1. The factory constructors debut season was decent enough for a new arrival. But was wrought with controversy. Mikail Christoffersen was at its center, with his conduct online and especially in the circuit. With his disdain for Marlan Kalming very widely apparent, even, allegedly, intentionally crashing into him in order to ruin his shot at the world championship.

Their 2023 season was much calmer toward the beginning. But, they would shake things up mid-season. As Novia would buy out Haulan Edzhurat’s contract after their termination of is’Vaara. This proved fruitful for Metropol, as it gave way to the debut of backup driver Magno Martorona, placing 11th and 7th in his first two ever S1 races. Around a month after the departure of Edzhurat, Metropol announced their signing of Kasran is’Vaara, the biggest contract Metropol had signed in their tenure in S1. This would lead to the ridiculous statistic of Metropol having raced a total of 4 drivers in a single season, the most in S1 history. They would finish 5th that season, with is’Vaara giving Metropol its first grand prix victory in Korcetta.

2024 was business as usual for Metropol, as they would continue with Leo Arnsten and Kasran is’Vaara. It was a somewhat rocky start for Metropol, with a double retirement in Lovelia. is’Vaara performed remarkably for Metropol, consistently in the points, as expected. But Arnsten was the one who turned a lot of heads. Finishing 5th in Blueacia, his first time in the top 5 since 2022. While he staggered mid season, and with rumors of possible retirement or termination in the air, he left everything on the track in the latter half of the season. Placing in the top five 6 times, and on podium three times, one being his first ever grand prix victory. They just missed out on 3rd place in the constructors championship

With the breakout of Arnsten and the consistency of is’Vaara, Metropol is pushing to break into the podium of the constructors championship this year. They’ve announced improvements to their DRS system and a major floor upgrade to their MTP13s. Additionally, they’ve looked extensively into the gearboxes of each drivers cars and attempted to ensure less malfunctions, which cost them a numerous amount of points last season. Finally, after the year long disappearance of Magno Martorona, which occurred during his stint as the backup driver, he has returned to S1 but not as a driver, but as the lead strategist of Metropol. Team President Oskar Hauge declined to comment on the hiring.

Hopes are high in Metropol, but whether they can compete with Spiiker, Novia, and Team Gyllir remains to be seen.

Neo-Fantøm, Nystatinne-Side
7th of January 2025

Few would think a street rat from the harsh side of Nystatinne side of Neo-Fantøm would fly so high. From a getaway driver dodging svarakk cars in Rikevaari side of the Borean megacity. To leave a life of adrenaline and the Rikevaari corporate conflicts outsourced to Nystatinne Chum Clans. Only to have her life pull a dirty cruel trick by giving her a helping hand up into stardom, a celebrity and of course unbelievably wealthy. Well wealthy for a Nystatinne, the disgustingly wealthy Rikevaari elite only consider her to be middle class despite being a millionaire. Though who cares what the elves think, after all, they never cared for Kemonomimi.

The Nystatinne-side of the mega-city, it was an example of the best and worst of the rapid industrialization process of the country. Massive concrete complexes cutting into the sky and drowning the stars in artificial red neon lights. Streets were widened out to make room for the endearingly nicknamed Kem Cars strolling the streets, rails put in for street cars when buses simply weren’t able to carry enough and new businesses (mostly unlicensed ones) opening up around every street corner. Technology leaped forwards by the decades, from the handcrafted furniture workshops to mostly legal factories in basements. Which of course, everyone with a half-decent sense of mind was doing their part in taking advantage of. From the former Z’rei oligarchs to the urban clans, everyone who was anyone was taking whatever influence and money they had to solidify themselves.

Which of course means Sølvi Ny’Aæn suddenly became not only a player in the political games being played but a piece herself. Kurintail Democratic Party still having arguing within themselves but who they are and what is Nystatinne Akuan Democracy looks like, though of course she is still a proud supporter of them regardless. She was undoubtedly, third most famous living Nystatinne in the world or second most famous depending if one doesn’t care about history. Suddenly she got a agent, manager and a something called a financial adviser whatever the fuck that is. Two of which she got assistance with from her union over in the Federation, it was something overly long in Frakanic but given she saw quite a few famous Côtois actors in it she assumed it was good. Her krone adviser was some Valkyr kemonomimi who she guess must have been doing a great job because her bank account has been increasing ever since they hired themself under her employ.

She somehow walked into owning her own business conglomerate with its own shiny fancy headquarters in Neo-Fantøm. She is not quite sure what it does, but given how many dry cleaners and Kem car dealerships have her face plastered on it. It just must have something to-do with speed cleaning. Not to mention she has some sort of deal or joint-cooperation contract with Gyllir proper to sell Kem cars, which she doesn’t even remember being present for during the negotiations. So many things were done in her name when she only signed up to be a driver with an extremely high pay.

–

The headquarters from AĂŚn Industries appeared to be one of the biggest buildings, being in the heart of the centre district of Nystatinne side of the massive urban city. It was built in the usual style for the city, being a far more depressing cyberpunk style when compared to the other two nations. Being far more utilitarian, functional and brutalistic in design. Massive grey concrete blocks with security wire glass, and big red neon signs. It even had good access to public transport and parking, being at the intersection of a train station, bus stop and across the street from a parking lot. Apparently she owns the building rather than leasing it, something to-do with her giving support to some local KDP politicians and they waved some things that would make it expensive or something. The Series One driver never knew the details about it, that financial adviser handled it. Her office was on the top, overlooking the Nystatiszna-Lapliszna Friendship business plaza and its particular taste in State-Sanction art pieces.

The kemonomimi scratched the back of her head, her new crew of high-brow fancy folk sitting in front of her desk. “So it’s been negotiated and stuff? I can sign it on the contract now?” Sølvi gave a unsure tone, not sure why they negotiated with Team Gyllir in the first place or what it was even about.

“No no, you already signed onto driving for Team Gyllir and Aæn Industries partnership.” One of the friendlier faces in a suit spoke up. “The contract up top of the stack here is to have an anime children’s TV show made about you and be streamed on Nordflix. The one below it is you signing on-board with the government’s program for providing food and coats for children. The later they will be using likeness and name for promotion, with you being extremely popular with children after all.” The kind face gave a gentle tone, reaching over to show photographs of the designs for the show.

“Oh I am? Did Azznup sign on too? I haven’t seen her since the championship.” Sølvi gave a warm smile about the weird elf. Then her eyes looked down at the photos, tilting her head as she lifted up the photos. Looking at them before looking up at the small crowd of suits staring back at her. “Is Nordflix a new channel? I haven’t heard of it.”

The same kind sounding woman spoke up. “No, it’s a streaming service like Ourtube or Pigeon. It’s a paid monthly subscription.” She was patient with the street rat.

“Oh… So most people can’t watch it?” Sølvi put down the photos. “I would rather not then, it’s rather messed up if kids in the country can’t watch it right?” She might not understand everything in detail but she is good on the uptick.

“We can negotiate with Nordflix and the producer agencies to have it broadcasted in Nystatiszna.” They kept that gentle tone that former taxi cabbie began to notice was artificial and well trained. “They’re desperate to capitalize on your fame currently, so we have some room to negotiate there. Anything more than that is still cut into your fee.”

“Oh that’s fine, I am pretty rich already. Can we have it broadcasted all over Borea?” Sølvi lifted up the contract pretending to read it. Though she didn’t understand a lick of it, not because it was all in legal wording but rather she barely knows how to read in the first place. “Then more Nystatinnes kids can watch it all over Borea.” She lowered the paper to give a bright smile.

“I believe we can do that.” The kind suit wrote down something in her notepad. Meanwhile one of the few faces she did know at least, her Valkyr financial adviser, spoke up in a downright greedy sounding tone. “You can always be richer now.”

Sølvi wanted to say she was already rich enough but that wouldn’t make any sense to a Valkyr no matter how much they claimed to be an Akuanist. “No, I would rather have it be broadcasted across Borea. We always have other ways of making money. Like that partnership that was brought up earlier.”

“Ah yes, that does remind me you should be the one to cut the ribbon for the assembly plant’s opening. I have it scheduled with your assistant.” Another one of the faceless suits spoke up.

“Uhh that won’t get in the way of my job right? The driving one is not this.” Sølvi gave a gesture towards the pile of paper in front of her. “This is all new to me, but whatever this all is. My focus is still on driving for Team Gyllir after all.” She let out a small sigh, but needed to get her point across to these sort of high fluting folks.

“No, your manager and agent were rather particular on making sure your schedule is cleared for the season. The company president will continue to be running day to day operations and you won’t have any scheduled appearances unless it is necessary.” Her financial adviser spoke up, looking over a small list on his tablet. “Factory opening will be your last appearance before the start of the season.”

“Ah, okay okay. Cool, cool.” Sølvi gave a nod. She didn’t even know she had a company president, and most certainly didn’t know if they were sitting in front of her. “Alright so that’s everything then? I need to catch my flight to the Federation?” She stood up not waiting for a response from them.

The collective of business women and men looked at each other before what could be the company president spoke up. “Yes, I believe that is everything. Mrs. Evenheart will head negotiations about having the show broadcasted. Your assistant will have your return flight for the factory grand opening and the flight back to the country. Have a safe flight Mrs. Ny’Aæn.”

“Wait, before do you want to sign on to the government aid program for children?” One of the faceless suited people at the table gestured towards a paper.

“Have my manager take a look at it and have ‘em sign my name. I don’t want to be late for my flight.” Ny’Aæn left as quickly as possible before they ambushed her again with paperwork and questions. Grabbing her yellow taxi cabbie jacket before she made her exit. Eager to see some normal, well normal for Côtois at least people and her driving partner.

As soon as she left her office. The faceless suit person gave a raised eyebrow, before speaking and grabbing onto the contract. “But I am her manager.” Though that didn’t stop him from reading over the papers regardless.

Spiiker Squadron announces continuation of their S1 program

It doesn’t come as a surprise but Spiiker Squadron just announced they will return to S1 in the 2025 season. After an abysmal 2024 season where the team only finished 4th in the constructor championship the team made some significant changes to upper management in hope of regaining a competative edge, some even speculate that there are even more changes coming before or during the 2025 season.
Marlan Kalming has been announced as the first driver of the team, which isn’t surprising since he still has a 2 year deal with the team. Mitch Noxal hasn’t been announced just yet but it is only time until he will be announced. Spiiker ofcourse is one of the most, if not the most, famous S1 team of the grid. And being a factory team they have their own engine team as well building the engines. the engine team are willing to supply other teams with their engines. They say the max teams they are willing to sign up is 3 teams. With their own Spiiker Squadron already getting supplied with the engines and it is expected that Marchitelli-Falcon will also be supplied. But nothing has been communicated yet.
We are very curious to see how Aleandro Trentini as former driver will get the Spiiker Squadron back on top.

Marchitelli-Falcon stays the same

Marchitelli-Falcon will not see many changes this season compared to the other season. Hi-Oh will remain as the title sponsor of Marchitelli-Falcon since the team and the company have exercised the option of the extra year. This means Niki Strauss also remains with the team for a 3rd year. This is also the case with their other driver Pedro Wilson, who apparently is talking as well with a new team to join as one of their drivers to maybe even lead the new team to succes. Hi-Oh Marchitelli-Falcon is keeping their engines from Spiiker. The only surprise is that Marchitelli-Falcon has signed a 3rd/reserve driver. That being the Blueacian talent Feike Teernstra. Let’s see when and if he gets a chance to drive for the team. Important detail is that he is from the Spiiker Driver academy and Spiiker Squadron also signed him on as their reserve driver.

WATERVALLEY RETURNS FOR ANOTHER SEASON

Watervalley did not perform as well as some people believed they would in 2024, which made people question if they would return for another season. 2023 was Watervalley’s best year, with only a few hiccups along the way, namely Stefan Amanar. Halfway through the 2023 season, Amanar was replaced with Sylwia Kaczmarek and put on indefinite leave. In 2024, Kaczmarek returned and performed as well as she did in 2023. Czesława Pajor on the other hand did not do the greatest and dropped by 11 places from 2023 to 2024.

With the 2025 S1 World Championship on the horizon, people were wondering if Kaczmarek would return, given that she is the fan-favorite driver, and we are happy to say that the answer is yes. However, Pajor is not as lucky and has sadly been replaced for the 2025 season. We are happy to introduce, for the first time, Watervalley’s new driver for the 2025 S1 World Championship…

Anupras Velyvis from Zemeprievadai!

Velyvis is an up-and-coming driver who has had his heart set on driving in S1 all of his life, and his dreams are finally coming true today. It is a sad time to see Pajor leaving the team, given her long history, but it seems like Watervalley has made up its mind. We will keep up with Pajor and see what she does in the future. Now I’m sure you are wondering, is Velyvis going to go the way of Kaczmarek? Or is he going to be kicked off the team like Pajor and Amanar? Only time will tell.

WATERVALLEY FIRST TO USE CABRAL MOTOR COMPANY ENGINES

Watervalley Autosports recently released that they intend to use Cabral Motor Company engines in their vehicles. Cabral Motor Company is a Beirais company founded in 1928 and is known for its luxury engines and car lines.

Watervalley is planned to be the first Series One team to use Cabral engines in their vehicles after negotiations with the company. The team is hoping that using these never-before-used engines will help give them an upper hand in the competition and help to show off how good the engines are. Cabral hopes that Watervalley using their engines will bring them some much-needed exposure so that other Series One teams may use their engines in the future.

Rosia Eagle announces merch for the new season!

In a recent announcement the manager of Rosia Eagle, Ivar Hiskir, said that the team has come to an agreement with their sponsor, Nyveldian Eagle, on creating a new series of merchandise to celebrate the team joining the next season. With it being expected that a lot of the merchandise will be focused around Ylva Førnørn who will be returning this season together with Pablo Saez, disproving previous rumours about either driver being replaced for the coming season.

While details of the new merchandise are still up in the air, there been many of Mrs. Førnørn’s fans who have proposed their own designs. Such as a t-shirt with an image of her on it with her giving the middle finger while cursing in Norgsveltian. A reference to her crashing into Gyllir driver Sølvi Ny’Aæn last season. With her during the crash say: “Yes, that’s what you fucking deserve.”

_

The elven woman’s eyes blinked for a few moments as she watched the news, being quiet for a moment as she put down her shot glass onto the glass table. Her eyebrows narrowed together for a moment as she looked at the long flat screen tv first with bewilderment than with just mild annoyance. “I do not remember to give them permission to use me for merchandise.” She muttered annoyed to herself as she grabbed the remote immediately turning off the tv before standing up, grabbing her phone from her pocket to call up her manager.

After a few rings the bastard finally picked up her call. “Ah, Mrs. Førnørn what do I o-”

“When the fuck did I give you permission to use my face for merchandise?” She hissed into the phone, as she grabbed it tightly walking back and forth in her penthouse.

She heard a heavy sigh from the other end of the phone, it was easy to picture the elven manager rubbing the bridge of his nose as well as he spoke up again. “It was at the request of Mr. Torsteinson, he very much wanted to take advantage of your new found popularity.”

“Sure, great. I still wasn’t gods damned asked.” She hissed back, not at all calm about the matter. “You guys haven’t begun producing these merchandise already, right?”

“Mr. Torsteinson have gotten several textile factories in Tangrland go full in producing them.”

“Fuck me…” Ylva let out a heavy sigh as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. “At least I will get a portion of the proceeds, right?”

“Yes, you will. In fact Torsteinson wanted to invite you to our next meeting.” For a moment Ylva was quiet, as she pondered if she should accept it or not.

“Might as well. I’m still annoyed about this.” Ylva muttered out annoyedly before ending the phone call suddenly there. As long as she got her share it likely wasn’t too bad, even if she was still mildly miffed about not having been contacted beforehand.

Sokalan Motorsports returns to the world stage

The Sokalan local racing legend, Matsuo Kiyoshi, returns to Series One after a three-year hiatus from the World Championship after Sokalan Motorsports’ acquisition and change to Tamradh Monsal. After a severe drop in performance with the new drivers, Sokalan gaming giant Vizion has acquired Sokalan Motorsports. The acquisition comes after Vizion’s Series One: The Game became the company’s best-selling game next to Firewatch 2 and Modern Warfare: Call of Duty.

“We are proud to not only put Sokala on the map as the home to one of Urth’s biggest gaming companies but to put Sokala’s name back to where it belongs: Series One. The 2019 inauguration of the Johnny Washington Memorial Raceway was just the start of Vizion’s commitment to bringing Series One to Sokala.”
– Vizion CEO Arthur Xiao Francisco

Arthur Xiao Francisco (in white barong) with Reyes Motors CEO Juan Reyes (right)

The acquisition of Sokalan Motorsports serves as the header to Vizion’s 20-year “Wheels Plan”, which started in 2010, is a multi-industry, multinational corporate push by Vizion to push and develop Series One as a major entertainment industry in Sokala. This plan had support from local automotive conglomerates Reyes Motors and Gulong, with the two being part of the core of the Sokalan Motorsports team. The engine provider is set to be Spiiker. Negotiations for Spiiker driver to be Kiyoshi’s second in exchange for a discount, however it fell through after Kiyoshi requested for Prince George to be his second.

Sokalan Motorsports is set for preparation, using the Johnny Washington Memorial Raceway as their base of operations. Matsuo Kiyoshi has already been seen arriving at the circuit with his 2021 entourage. The team’s 2021 technical director was also seen arriving at the circuit with former 1995, 1997 and 1998 Sokalan Grand Prix winner Bianca Del Arroyo. Rumors say that Del Arroyo would serve as the new team principal, replacing Robert Bobbington who retired from the sport in 2024.

The team’s second driver was announced just a few days after the announcement of the return, the news shocking the local Series One team. Prince George of Nilovia and Helslandr was selected as Kiyoshi’s secondary, with rumors saying that Kiyoshi personally vouched for Prince George as his secondary. Prince George had been a backup driver for other teams for a few seasons now, with this being his first main driver season.

“It’s been a long time coming, I’m eager to get in the thick of it and show what I’m capable of. I’m fired up and ready, I can’t wait to get on the track and win this for Sokalan Motorsports. Prepare? Well I eat well, work out. I’m on the track 15 hours a week.”
– Prince George, when asked about what his thoughts were and how was he preparing

“Kiyoshi’s a great friend, he’s always been on the lookout for great talent and he must have seen something in me back then.”
– Prince George, when asked about him being personally invited by Matuso Kiyoshi

Spiiker Squadron completes it’s driver roster.

Almost 5 minutes after it was rumoured that Sokalan Motorsports was to use Spiiker engines, Mitch Noxal was rumoured to join their team as their lead driver. This ofcourse since he already was a driver familiar with the power train. However after interest from Mitch himself to join Sokalan Motorsport fierce negociations started with all 3 parties. Ones the parties couldn’t agree on a deal and Sokalan Motorsports chose Prince George of Nilovia and Helslandr mostly on potential sponsor backing. Spiiker happily offered Mitch another contract to drive for Spiiker Squadron for this season with the option for one more if both parties wish to do so.

Motorsports Today: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with Haulan Edzhurat

With Novia Racing having Matthieu Soyer win the 2023 Driver Championship Race and winning the 2024 Constructors Championship, Motorsport Today dives into the man behind the man.

Julia Pomeroy recently sat down with the second driver for Novia Racing, Haulan Edzhurat. Edzhurat has been with Novia Racing for two different stints, once during the 2016-2018 season and then a return tour starting in the second half of 2023 until present. Motorsports Today asked to interview Edzhurat and get the inside scoop on his 12 year racing career and future ambitions.

Julia Pomeroy (JP): “Good afternoon Mr. Edzhurat. Thank you for taking the time to sit down and do an interview with us. How have you been spending this off-season?”

Haulan Edzhurat (HE): “Pleasure to be here. Y’know, the life of a Series One driver is always so hectic, so I’ve always tried to just disconnect and get away from it all. I have a ranch with a friend in [he squints his eyes and pauses for a bit] northern Aduraszna. Just try to relax, y’know? It’s a good time.”

JP: “I get it. Getting away from it all is always a good way to de-stress. So, you’ve been racing professionally for over 12 years now. How does it feel? You’ve dedicated a whole decade to this.”

HE: “Honestly, it never gets old, y’know? You spend your whole life working towards karting stuff, feeder series championships, always trying to climb the ladder, y’know, but once you get there it’s all a blur. It’s only when you take a break, either on your own accord, or [he awkwardly clears his throat] otherwise, that you appreciate just how long a career can be.”

JP: “Understandable. How was it starting out back in 2013? Is there something from that time starting as a rookie or a new driver that’s stuck with you during your whole career? Is there anything that you would do differently during that time?”

HE: “I think the big thing is that I was impatient, y’know? [His first team] Panya was - well I can say this now they’ve gone bust - completely hopeless. And I wanted so bad to be in a team where I could prove myself properly. But really it gave me time to adapt to stuff like the race format, the training routines, the demands of the job, y’know? And after spending a year in a backmarker, just getting my first points - one singular point at Thave Cours - was the best feeling in the world. You don’t really want to be thrown in at the deep end.”

JP: “Like is’Vaara.”

HE: “I didn’t– sneaky. Putting words in my mouth. [he laughs in a way that directly communicates he was absolutely talking about is’Vaara]"

JP: (she laughs awkwardly) “Speaking of is’Vaara, how did it feel coming back to Novia after is’Vaara’s dismissal? Did you have any hesitations about coming back to the team?”

HE: “Like licking my old soup bowl. [Edzhurat is later informed that this saying does not exist outside of Vaaran] There were a lot of new faces around, but the factory felt like home, just as it always had. I was a bit worried, y’know, returning to the scene of the crime, but people seemed to understand. After a few weekends it was like I’d never left at all, y’know.”

JP: “Coming into the 2023 season in the mid-way while [First driver Matthieu] Soyer was still seeking first place, did that affect your mentality?”

HE: “[Team principal Hector] Adnet was pretty clear that the seat had, y’know, become available because people weren’t willing to work as a team, and that he was looking for a driver to help Soyer out in his championship push. I’ve never liked playing second fiddle, but I liked scrapping around at the back of the field even less, y’know? Just sort of, y’know, knuckle down, do your job, and set your stall out for the seasons ahead. What I didn’t appreciate the first time around was that being the lead driver is something you’ve gotta earn.”

JP: “Speaking of your first time around, why don’t you tell us about your time there during 2016-2018. The break-up was very messy if I recall the papers correctly.”

HE: “Yeah, that’s the joke all the papers used at the time. ‘The Messer Mess’. Hysterical. Look, whenever you have a new hot-shot gunning for preferential treatment, there’s gonna be tempers flaring, y’know? And I could handle getting challenged. But what I couldn’t stand was the lying, the treachery. They stacked the deck for Messer and then pretended we were on a level playing field. That’s how the old management lost me, then lost Messer, then lost their jobs. And that’s how Adnet brought me back in. Because when he’s prioritising one driver, giving him the best parts, giving him the upgrades first, he’s good enough to tell you.”

JP: “How’s your relationship with Soyer? You’ve been his wingman since mid-2023. Do you guys get along, or do you find yourself hoping for more?”

HE: “[he thinks for an uncomfortably long time] We do our talking on the track.”

JP: “I have just a couple more questions for you before we’ll let you go. Are you returning to Novia for the 2025 season? We haven’t heard much from Novia or from your team about your return, and racing fans are dying to know.”

HE: “Well, these are all trade secrets, and nothing’s announced until it’s announced, y’know? But, [he smiles flirtatiously, and leans forward] you can expect some news from us pretty soon.”

JP: (blushing) “Well, that’s exciting to hear. One last question for you Mr. Edzhurat. Is this your final season, or do you see yourself coming back another year?”

HE: “Well nothing’s announced until it’s announced. But as long as I’m still fresh, I’ll be sticking around.”

JP: “[Making a mental note to dig up this interview if his season goes south] Thank you for your time. We look forward to hearing from you soon.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: After the interview was recorded and concluded, Novia Racing announced Edzhurat was being signed for the 2025 season.
