RP AWARDS - JANURARY 2024 NOMINATIONS
Welcome, everybody! The Forum Roleplay Awards have returned once again, after a yearlong hiatus! Due to the lack of awards last year, this award cycle will cover everything made in 2023, as well as stuff from the very end of 2022 that was too late to make the window for the last RP award cycle.
The period for eligibility for any RP creation is, more specifically, December 5th, 2022 through December 31, 2023.
The nomination process will last until Janurary 22, 2024 (subject to change depending on turnout). Awards will be given for the following categories: Best Wiki, Best Character, Best Roleplayer, Best Broadcast, Best Roleplay, and Best Design. You may nominate up to 10 candidates for each category.
Like last time, separate threads for voting on each category will be created after nominations finish. Like previous installments, voting will involve a ranked choice of up to ten candidates. However, due to the immense number of ties created in the last cycle because of low turnout, the curve for points awarded has been changed to 12-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, paralleling Eurovision, instead of the previous 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 curve.
The reward for placing within the top 3 places are as follows:
1ST PLACE - 3 trophies
2ND PLACE - 2 trophies
3RD PLACE - 1 trophy
If we get a lot of nominations, we will double the number of trophies given out by giving 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place to two candidates each, for a total of the top 6 all getting awards. But that’s only if there’s a lot of nominees, so if you want more RP Awards given out, make sure to nominate your favorite things!
