Announcement from the Office of the Provost
Provost AC’s Inaugural Address
My fellow Magisters,
It has been my greatest honor to be elected Provost to oversee the proceedings of the 65th session of the Magisterium of the East Pacific. Since January of 2009, this body has been tasked with preserving the legislative integrity of The East Pacific, making sure our community operates as smoothly as possible in conjunction with the Praesidium, Executive, Conclave and OOC Administration Team. I am proud to carry on the legacy of the many men, women and [UNDEFINED] that have held the position before me (this, of course, with some exceptions - you know who you are).
Let me tell this fair Magisterium a story many have heard before:
I originally was accepted into this body on February 5th, 2020, and tasked with the responsibilities of Deputy Provost the next day by then-Provost Bachtendekuppen. Soon, AMOM was elected Provost; he oversaw the most active Magisterium sessions in TEP history and took considerable effort to not only maintain the Magisterium but also to keep a young Deputy Provost AC in line. Acronis succeeded him; resigning half-way through, I seized the opportunity to set a new Magisterium precedent with special Provost elections. To this day, I consider that to be one of my proudest and most meaningful accomplishments in this body. To this point, I was in uncharted territory, being kept as Deputy for a record-consecutive 3 Provosts. Shadow was special-elected, making 4. My activity began to subside in mid-2021 during Dylan’s time in the Provost’s Office; dissatisfied, shortly before his resignation on May 18th, he (fairly) dismissed me from the post of Deputy.
I lingered in the Magisterium and the EPPS (to which I had been appointed in February of that year) for a period of 5 months until Zukchiva accepted my application to return to the Deputyship on October 17th. I would proceed to shatter my own longevity record, remaining as Deputy Provost unbroken for another 3 years, 5 months and 2 weeks. However, for much of this time, I was mostly in a backup/emergency role. The truth is, I was mostly disinvolved from TEP affairs for a long time - much of 2023 and 2024 especially, as IRL events took a toll on my mental and physical health (prompting a few Leaves of Absence at some points). However, I survived, and thankfully, Magisters maintained their trust in my ability to carry out the powers & duties of the office through my reduced-activity period. For this support, I am forever thankful.
In 2025, I began to take more of an interest in the affairs of the Magisterium as discussions began to heat up about various proposed sweeping changes. It was here that I began to understand that I may be needed again in the near future, a belief that was solidified when an unnamed citizen of the East Pacific (though I’m sure you can all guess who) began to instill upon me that now was the time for me to run for Provost. I had been asked to do so many times over the 5 years that I’d served the Magisterium beforehand, but those were just requests. However, this particular nudge impressed upon me that now was the time - I will be having a busy school year next year as a junior in high school, and this Magisterium is appearing to be especially hungry for change.
“The time is now.”
Here we are - late in the evening of April 2nd, 2025, as I sit at my desk, writing the inaugural address I never thought I’d ever get to write. All it took was a little extra nudging, and I finally did what I’d never found the will to do before. Now is the time for me to go above and beyond— for this Magisterium and for the East Pacific.
I am forever grateful to the Provosts I have served under who have given me the amazing opportunities that I’ve had to serve as Deputy. I am forever grateful to the Magisters I’ve worked with over my many years of service. I am forever grateful to the many Citizens of the East Pacific who have supported me over my long and timultuous career.
Here’s to you, TEP. Now and forever.

Provost AC of the 65th Magisterium
The Office of the Provost has made the following roster moves:
Called up Vixen, Lucklife and Arleat to serve in the role of Deputy Provost. Congratulations to you three. I can’t wait to see what you do.
Dremaur will also be remaining as Deputy Provost. Thank you for sticking around.
